This is really a two-hour presentation I give to high school students,

I figured, they're not workaholics. They're workafrolics.

Gut! Alex Garden sagt: „Für den Erfolg muss man wirklich in etwas einsteigen

Alex Garden says, "To be successful, put your nose down in something

and get damn good at it."

und verdammt gut darin sein.”

There's no magic; it's practice, practice, practice.

And it's focus.

"I think it all has to do with focusing yourself on one thing."

Now it's not always easy to push yourself,

The first thing I say is:

I'd say it was a pretty good idea.

Das war wohl eine recht gute Idee.

And there's no magic to creativity in coming up with ideas --

Und bei Kreativität und neuen Ideen gibt es keine Magie,

it's just doing some very simple things.

man muss nur einige sehr einfache Sachen machen.

And I give lots of evidence.

Und ich gebe viele Beweise.

Persist!

Durchhalten! Joe Kraus sagt:

Joe Kraus says,

"Persistence is the number one reason for our success."

You've got to persist through failure. You've got to persist through crap!

Man muss das Scheitern überwinden, man muss Dreck überwinden!

Which of course means "Criticism, Rejection, Assholes and Pressure."

Und Dreck bedeutet hier Kritik, Ablehnung, Druck und Arschlöcher.
