I'm a multitasking person, and I push my students

من فرە تاسکم وە هانی قوتابیەکانم ئەدەم

to fly through a very creative, multitasking design process.

بۆ تەواو کردنی پرۆسەی، نەخشە فرە تاسکەکان.

But how efficient is, really, this multitasking?

بەڵام تا چەند کاریگەری هەیە، بەڕاستی، ئەو فرە تاسکە؟

Let's consider for a while the option of monotasking.

با سەرنجی هەڵبژاردەی تاک تاسک ببین.

A couple of examples.

هەندێک نموونە.

Look at that.

سەیری ئەمە بکەن.

This is my multitasking activity result. (Laughter)

ئەنجامی جالاکیە هەمە جۆرەکانمە. (پێکەنین)

So trying to cook, answering the phone, writing SMS,

خواردن دروستکردن، وەڵامدانەوەی پەیوەندی، نامە نوسین،

and maybe uploading some pictures

لەوانەیە گرتنی هەندێک وێنە

about this awesome barbecue.

لەگەڵ ئەو گۆشت برژاندنە ناوازەیە.

So someone tells us the story about supertaskers,

کەسێک پێت بڵێت دەربارەی چیڕۆکی تاسکی مەزن،

so this two percent of people who are able

لەسەدا دووی خەڵکی توانایان هەیە

to control multitasking environment.

بۆ کۆنتڕۆڵ کردنی فرە تاسکی ژینگەی.

But what about ourselves, and what about our reality?

بەڵام چی دەربارەی خۆمان، وە چی دەربارەی ڕاستی؟

When's the last time you really enjoyed

کەی بوو کۆتا جار چێژت وەرگرت

just the voice of your friend?

لە دەنگی هاوڕێکانت؟

So this is a project I'm working on,

کەواتە ئەوە ئەو پڕۆژەیەیە کە من کاری لەسەر ئەکەم،

and this is a series of front covers

ئەمە زنجیرەیەکە لە پاڵپشتیکردنی

to downgrade our super, hyper —

بۆ نزمبونەوەی هێزمان، هایپەر----

to downgrade our super, hyper-mobile phones

بۆ نزمبونەوەی هێز، و هایپەری مۆبایلەکانمان

into the essence of their function.

بۆ کرۆکی کارەکانیان.

Another example: Have you ever been to Venice?

نمونەیەکی تر : هەرگیز سەردانی ڤانیست کردووە

How beautiful it is to lose ourselves in these little streets

چەند جوانە کاتێک خۆمان بزر ئەکەین لە شەقامە بچوکەکان

on the island.

لە دورگەکە.

But our multitasking reality is pretty different,

بەڵام تاکە تاسکی ئێمە بەتەواوی جیاوازە،

and full of tons of information.

پڕە لە کۆمەڵێک زانیاری.

So what about something like that

چی دەربارەی شتێکی وەکو ئەوە

to rediscover our sense of adventure?

دوبارە دەرخستنەوەی هەستی سەرکێشیمان؟

I know that it could sound pretty weird to speak about mono

دەزانم ئەوە تەواو نامۆ دەر دەکەوێت کە قسە بکەم دەربارەی تاک

when the number of possibilities is so huge,

لەکاتێکدا ئەگەری ڕودانی زۆر گەوەیە،

but I push you to consider the option of

هەروەها من سەرنجتان ڕا ئەکێشم بۆ بیرۆکەی

focusing on just one task,

سەرنجدان تەنها لەسەر یەک تاسک،

or maybe turning your digital senses totally off.

یان کەمکردنەوەی هەستی دیجیتاڵی.

So nowadays, everyone could produce his mono product.

لەم ڕۆژانەدا، هەمووان دەتوانن بەرهەمی تاکە کەسی بەرهەم بێنن.

Why not? So find your monotask spot

بۆنا؟ کەوایە خاڵی تاکە تاسکی خۆت بدۆزەرەوە

within the multitasking world.

لەناو جیهانی فرە تاسکی.
