So magic is a very introverted field.

While scientists regularly publish their latest research,

we magicians do not like to share our methods and secrets.

That's true even amongst peers.

But if you look at creative practice as a form of research,

or art as a form of R&D for humanity,

then how could a cyber illusionist like myself

share his research?

Now my own speciality is combining digital technology and magic.

من پسپۆرم لە بواری بەیەکەوە بەستنی تەکنەلۆژیایی سەردەم و جادوو.

And about three years ago,

سێ ساڵ لەمەوبەر،

I started an exercise

ڕاھێنانم دەست پێ کرد

in openness and inclusiveness

لە کرانەوە و لە خۆ گرتن

by reaching out into the open-source software community

چوومە ناو کۆمەڵی سیستەمە کراوەکان

to create new digital tools for magic --

بۆ درووست کردنی ئامرازی تەکنەلۆجی نوێ بۆ زانست

tools that could eventually be shared with other artists

ئامرازێک کە ھونەرمەندانیش دەتوانن دەستیان پێی بگات

to start them off further on in the process

بۆ ئەوەی بەردەوام بن لە گەشەپێدان

and to get them to the poetry faster.

و بۆ ئەوەی باشتر بگونجێن.

Today, I'd like to show you something which came out of these collaborations.

ئەمڕۆ شتێکتان پێشان دەدەم کە لە کاری ھاوبەشی درووست بووە.

It's an augmented reality

بریتیە لە ڕاستی پاڵپشتی کراو،

projection tracking and mapping system,

تێکەڵەیەکە لە نێوان سیستەمی بەدواداچوون و نەخشە،

or a digital storytelling tool.

یان سیستەمێکی دیجیتەڵی گێڕانەوەی چیرۆک.
