how people achieve their dreams.

One: Believe in overnight success.

You know the story, right?

The tech guy built a mobile app and sold it very fast for a lot of money.

You know, the story may seem real, but I bet it's incomplete.

If you go investigate further,

the guy has done 30 apps before

Your overnight success story is always a result

Two: Believe someone else has the answers for you.

Constantly, people want to help out, right?

All sorts of people: your family, your friends, your business partners,

आपण कुठल्या मार्गाने जावं याबद्दल सगळेच मतं देत असतात.

they all have opinions on which path you should take:

"And let me tell you, go through this pipe."

"मी सांगतो ना, या नळीतून जा"

But whenever you go inside,

पण आत शिरल्यावर अनेक मार्ग दिसतात.

there are other ways you have to pick as well.

And you need to make those decisions yourself.

आणि ते निर्णय स्वतःच घ्यावे लागतात.

No one else has the perfect answers for your life.

आपल्या आयुष्याची अचूक उत्तरं इतरांजवळ नसतात.

And you need to keep picking those decisions, right?

आपल्याला सतत हे निर्णय घेत राहावं लागतं, बरोबर?

The pipes are infinite and you're going to bump your head,

अशा असंख्य नळ्या असणार आणि त्यावर आपलं डोकं आदळणारच.

and it's a part of the process.

Three, and it's very subtle but very important:

Decide to settle when growth is guaranteed.

So when your life is going great,

you have put together a great team,

and you have growing revenue, and everything is set --

time to settle.

तीच स्थिरावण्याची वेळ.

When I launched my first book,

मी पहिलं पुस्तक लिहिलं, तेव्हा

ते ब्राझीलमध्ये सर्वत्र पोहोचावं म्हणून अतोनात श्रम केले.

I worked really, really hard to distribute it everywhere in Brazil.

With that, over three million people downloaded it,

over 50,000 people bought physical copies.

When I wrote a sequel, some impact was guaranteed.

a couple hundred thousand people would read it,

and that's great already.

But if I work harder than ever,

पण मी पूर्वीपेक्षा जास्त कष्ट केले,

I can bring this number up to millions.

तर हा आकडा काही दशलक्षांपर्यंत नेऊ शकेन.

That's why I decided, with my new book, to go to every single state of Brazil.

And I can already see a higher peak.

There's no time to settle down.

Fourth tip, and that's really important:

चौथी सूचना: ही खरोखर महत्त्वाची आहे.

Believe the fault is someone else's.

इतरांना दोषी ठरवा.

I constantly see people saying,

मी सतत पाहते, लोक म्हणत असतात,

" माझ्यापाशी ही महान कल्पना होती, पण एकाही गुंतवणुकदाराजवळ दूरदृष्टी नव्हती."

"Yes, I had this great idea, but no investor had the vision to invest."

"Oh, I created this great product,

but the market is so bad, the sales didn't go well."

पण व्यापार मंदीत असल्याने फार विक्रीच झाली नाही."

Or, "I can't find good talent; my team is so below expectations."

किंवा, "मला गुणी माणसंच सापडत नाहीत. टीमचा दर्जा अपेक्षेहून फार कमी आहे."

If you have dreams,

तुमच्यापाशी स्वप्नं असतील,

it's your responsibility to make them happen.

तर ती प्रत्यक्षात आणणं ही जबाबदारी तुमची आहे.

Yes, it may be hard to find talent.

होय, गुणी माणसं सापडणं कठीण असेल.

Yes, the market may be bad.

होय, व्यापार मंदीत असेल.

But if no one invested in your idea,

पण जर कोणीच गुंतवणूक करत नसेल,

if no one bought your product,

जर तुमचा माल कोणीच विकत घेत नसेल,

for sure, there is something there that is your fault.

तर नक्कीच, समजा तुमचा काहीतरी दोष आहे.

(Laughter)

Definitely.

नक्कीच.

You need to get your dreams and make them happen.

तुम्हालाच तुमची स्वप्नं ठरवावी लागतील, आणि घडवावी लागतील.

And no one achieved their goals alone.

कोणीच एकट्याने आपलं ध्येय गाठू शकत नाही.

But if you didn't make them happen, it's your fault and no one else's.

पण तुमची स्वप्नं साकार झाली नाहीत, तर दोष मात्र तुमचाच, इतरांचा नव्हे.

Be responsible for your dreams.

आपल्या स्वप्नांची जबाबदारी घ्या.

शेवटची सूचना: ही देखील फार महत्त्वाची आहे.

And one last tip, and this one is really important as well:

Believe that the only things that matter are the dreams themselves.

स्वप्न ही एकच गोष्ट महत्त्वाची आहे असं समजा.

Once I saw an ad, and it was a lot of friends,

एकदा मी एक जाहिरात पाहिली, त्यात काही मित्र होते.

they were going up a mountain, it was a very high mountain,

ते एक डोंगर चढत होते. डोंगर खूप उंच होता.

and it was a lot of work.

खूपच कष्टाचं काम होतं.

You could see that they were sweating and this was tough.

ते घामाघूम झालेले दिसत होते. कठीण अवस्था होती.

And they were going up, and they finally made it to the peak.

आणि ते वर चढत होते. शेवटी, ते शिखरावर पोहोचले.

Of course, they decided to celebrate, right?

I'm going to celebrate, so, "Yes! We made it, we're at the top!"

and whenever you get to reaching one of those dreams,

it's a magical place where happiness will be all around.

But achieving a dream is a momentary sensation,

and your life is not.

The only way to really achieve all of your dreams

आपली सगळी स्वप्नं साकार करण्याचा एकच मार्ग म्हणजे,

is to fully enjoy every step of your journey.

त्या प्रवासातल्या प्रत्येक पावलाची मजा घेणे.

That's the best way.

हा सर्वोत्तम मार्ग होय.

And your journey is simple -- it's made of steps.

आणि प्रवास सोपा असतो. तो पावलांनी बनलेला असतो.

कधी पावलं अचूक पडतील.

Some steps will be right on.

Sometimes you will trip.

कधी ती धडपडतील.

If it's right on, celebrate, because some people wait a lot to celebrate.

ती अचूक असतील, तर ते साजरं करा. कारण, काही लोक पटकन साजरं करीत नाहीत.

And if you tripped, turn that into something to learn.

आणि धडपडला असाल, तर त्याला शिक्षण समजा.

If every step becomes something to learn or something to celebrate,

you will for sure enjoy the journey.

So, five tips:

Believe in overnight success,

believe someone else has the answers for you,

आपल्या प्रश्नांची उत्तरं इतरांजवळ आहेत, असं समजा.

believe that when growth is guaranteed, you should settle down,

जेव्हा प्रगतीची खात्री वाटेल, तीच स्थिरावण्याची वेळ, असं समजा.

believe the fault is someone else's,

इतरांना दोषी ठरवा.

and believe that only the goals themselves matter.

स्वप्न ही एकच गोष्ट महत्त्वाची आहे असं समजा.

Believe me, you do that, and you will destroy your dreams.

माझं ऐका, हे केल्यावर नक्कीच तुमची स्वप्नं नष्ट होतील.
