Hi, everybody.

Ban-gap-seum-ni-da.

بان-گەپ-سیوم-نی-دا.

I'd like to share with you a little bit of me

دەمەوێت کەمێك لە خۆم لەگەڵتان هاوبەش بکەم

playing my life.

لە یاریکردنی ژیانم.

I might look successful and happy

من لەوانەیە سەرکەوتو دڵخۆش دیاربم

being in front of you today,

لە پێش تۆ ئەمڕۆ،

but I once suffered from severe depression

بەڵام جارێکیان توشی خەمۆکیەکی توندبووم

and was in total despair.

لە نائومێدیەکی تەواو دابووم.

The violin, which meant everything to me,

کەمانچە، کە بۆمن مانای هەموو شتێكبوو،

became a grave burden on me.

بوو بەبارێکی گۆر بەسەرمدا.

Although many people tried to comfort and encourage me,

هەرچەندە خەڵکێکی زۆر هەوڵی ئاسودەیی و هاندانی منیاندا،

their words sounded like meaningless noise.

دەنگی وشەکانیان وەك ژاوەژاوێکی بێمانابوو.

When I was just about to give everything up

کاتێك من خەریكبووم واز لە هەموو شتێك بهێنم

after years of suffering,

دوای ساڵانێك لە ئازار،

I started to rediscover the true power of music.

دەستمکرد بە دوبارە دۆزینەوەی هێزی میوزیك.

In the midst of hardship,

لە ناوەڕاستی سەختیەکان،

it was the music that gave me -- that restored my soul.

ئەوە میوزیكبوو کە بەمنیداوە-- رۆحی منی گەڕاندەوە.

The comfort the music gave me

ئەو ئاسودەییەی میوزیك پێیداوم

was just indescribable,

وەسفنەکراو بوو،

and it was a real eye-opening experience for me too,

و ئەوە ئەزمونێکی ڕاستەقینەی چاو کردنەوە بوو بۆمن،

and it totally changed my perspective on life

و بە تەواوی بینینی منی لە ژیان گۆڕی

and set me free from the pressure

و لە پاڵەپەستۆ ڕزگارمبکات

of becoming a successful violinist.

ببمبە کەمانچە ژەنێکی سەرکەوتوو.

Do you feel like you are all alone?

هەست دەکەی هەمووتان تەنهان؟

I hope that this piece will touch and heal your heart,

هیوادارم ئەم پارچەیە دەست لە دڵت بدات و ساڕێژی بکات،

as it did for me.

Now, I use my music to reach people's hearts

ئێستا، من میوزیکی خۆم بۆ گەیشتن بە دڵی خەڵك بەکاردەهێنم

and have found there are no boundaries.

بۆیاندەرکەوت کە هیچ سنورێك نیە.

My audience is anyone who is here to listen,

گوێگریمن هەرکەسێکە کە لێرەیە گوێدەگرێت،

even those who are not familiar with classical music.

تەنانەت ئەوانەی کە ئاشنانین بە میوزیکی دێرینی.

I not only play at the prestigious classical concert halls

من تەنها لە هۆڵە شکۆدارە دێرینەکان میوزیك ناژەنم

like Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center,

وەکو کارنێگی هۆڵ و کێنەدی سێنتەر،

but also hospitals, churches, prisons,

بەڵکو هەروەها لە نەخۆشخانەکان، کەنیسەکان، زیندانەکان،

and restricted facilities for leprosy patients,

و ئاسانکاری دیاریکراو بۆ نەخۆشەکانی گولی،

just to mention a few.

تەنها بۆ ئاماژەدان بە چەندێکیان.

Now, with my last piece, I'd like to show you

ئێستا، لەگەڵ کۆتا پارچەم، حەزدەکەم پیشانتانبدەم

that classical music can be so much fun, exciting,

کە میوزیکی دێرین دەتوانێ زۆر خۆشبێت، سەرنج ڕاکێشبێت،

and that it can rock you.

دەتوانێ بتوروژێنێ.

Let me introduce you to my brand new project,

ڕێگەمبدە ئێوە بە جۆری پڕۆژە نوێیەکەم بناسێنم،

"Baroque in Rock,"

“باڕۆك ئین ڕۆك،”

which became a golden disc most recently.

کە بەم دواییانە بوو بە قەوانێکی زێڕین.

It's such an honor for me.

ئەمە وەکو شانازیەك بوو بۆ من.

I think, while I'm enjoying my life as a happy musician,

وابیردەکەمەوە، کاتێك چێژ لە ژیان وەردەگرم وەك میوزیكژەنێکی دڵخۆش،

I'm earning a lot more recognition than I've ever imagined.

من زۆر زیاتر لەوەی بیرملێدەکردەوە بەدەست دەهێنم.

Changing your perspectives

تێڕوانینەکانت بگۆریت

will not only transform you but also the whole world.

Just play your life with all you have,

تەنها یاری بە ژیانت بکە لەگەڵ هەموو ئەو شتانەی هەتە،

and share it with the world.
