Hi, everybody.

سڵاو،

Ban-gap-seum-ni-da.

بان گاپ سیوم نی دا.

I'd like to share with you a little bit of me

حەزدەکەم باسێکی خۆمتان بۆ بکەم

playing my life.

بەسەرھاتی ژیانم.

I might look successful and happy

لەوانەیە سەرکەوتوو و دڵخۆش بێمە بەر چاوتان

being in front of you today,

کە ئەمڕۆ لەبەر چاوتانم،

but I once suffered from severe depression

بەڵام لە ڕابردوو بە دەست خەمۆکیەکی ناڕەحەت دەمناڵاند

and was in total despair.

تەواو بێزار بووم.

The violin, which meant everything to me,

ئەم کەمانچەیە، کە بۆ من ھەموو شتێکە،

became a grave burden on me.

بووە ئەرکێکی قورسی سەر شانم.

Although many people tried to comfort and encourage me,

لەگەڵ ئەوەی چەندین خەڵک ھەوڵیان دەدا دڵم بدەنەوە و پشتگیریم بکەن،

their words sounded like meaningless noise.

وشەکانیان وەک ژاوەژاوێکی بێ واتا دەھاتە بەر چاو.

When I was just about to give everything up

کاتێک خەریک بوو کۆڵ بدەم،

after years of suffering,

دوای چەندین ساڵ لە ناڵاندن،

I started to rediscover the true power of music.

وردە وردە ھێزی جادووی مۆسیقام دۆزیەوە.

In the midst of hardship,

لە ناو ناخۆشیەکان،

it was the music that gave me -- that restored my soul.

مۆسیقا ژیانی پێ بەخشیم و دووبارە منی دۆزیەوە.

The comfort the music gave me

ئەو ئارامیەیی کە مۆسیقا پێی بەخشیم،

was just indescribable,

سەرسوڕھێنەر بوو،

and it was a real eye-opening experience for me too,

بەڕاستی بەسەرھاتێکی زانیاری بەخشیش بوو،

and it totally changed my perspective on life

بە تەواوەتی ژیانی کەسیی منی گۆڕی

and set me free from the pressure

و ئازادی پێ بەخشیم

of becoming a successful violinist.

و بوومە کەمانچەژەنێکی سەرکەوتوو.

Do you feel like you are all alone?

ئایا ھەست دەکەیت کە تەنھایت؟

I hope that this piece will touch and heal your heart,

ھیوادارم ئەم پارچە مۆسیقایە دڵت ساڕێژ بکات،

as it did for me.

بەو شێوەی دڵی منی ساڕێژ کرد.

Now, I use my music to reach people's hearts

من کەڵک لە مۆسیقا بۆ گەیشتن بە دڵی خەڵک وەردەگرم

and have found there are no boundaries.

و گەیشتمە ئەو ڕاستیەی کە سنور بوونی نییە.

My audience is anyone who is here to listen,

گوێگرەکانم ئەو کەسانەن کە گوێم بۆ شل دەکەن،

even those who are not familiar with classical music.

تەنانەت ئەو کەسانەی کە ئاشنایی مۆسیقایی کلاسیکی نین.

I not only play at the prestigious classical concert halls

من مۆسیقا تەنھا لە ھۆڵە کلاسیکیە بەناوبانگەکان پێشکەش ناکەم

like Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center,

وەک ھۆڵی کارنیە و ناوه‌ندی کێنەدی،

but also hospitals, churches, prisons,

بەڵکو لە نەخۆشخانە و کڵێسا، و به‌ندیخانه‌کان

and restricted facilities for leprosy patients,

لە ھۆڵی جیاکراوەی تایبەت بە نەخۆشی گەڕیش مۆسیقا پێشکەش دەکەم،

just to mention a few.

چەند شوێنێکی کەم ژمارد.

Now, with my last piece, I'd like to show you

لە کۆتا پارچە مۆسیقادا، دەمەوێت پێشانتان بدەم

that classical music can be so much fun, exciting,

کە دەکرێت مۆسیقایی کلاسیکی خۆش و بە چێژ بێت،

and that it can rock you.

بەشێوەیەک کە سەرسامت بکات.

Let me introduce you to my brand new project,

با نوێترین پڕۆژەی خۆمتان پێ بناسێنم،

مۆسیقایی کلاسیکی بارۆک و لەگەڵ ڕۆک،

"Baroque in Rock,"

which became a golden disc most recently.

لەم ماوەیەدا خەڵاتی دیسکی زێڕینی وەرگرت.

It's such an honor for me.

شانازییەکی گەورە بوو بۆ من.

I think, while I'm enjoying my life as a happy musician,

پێم وایە لەوە کاتەی کە وەک مۆسیقاژەنێک چێژ لە ژیان دەبینم،

I'm earning a lot more recognition than I've ever imagined.

خەڵک زیاتر دان بە تواناکانم دادەنێم کە لە چاوەڕوانیم نەبووە.

But it's now your turn.

Changing your perspectives

گۆڕینی تێڕوانینت

will not only transform you but also the whole world.
