မင်းတို့ရဲ့ စစ်ဗုံတွေနဲ့ ငါလိုက်မကဘူး။


"What I Will"

I will not dance to your war drum.

ငါ့ဝိဉာဉ်နဲ့ ငါ့အရိုးတွေက မင်းတို့ရဲ့ စစ်ဗုံကို အားဖြည့်ပေးမှာ မဟုတ်။

ဒီတီးချက်ကို လိုက်ကမှာ မဟုတ်ဘူး။

I will not lend my soul nor my bones to your war drum.

ဒီစည်းချက်ကို သိတယ်။

I will not dance to that beating.

ဒါက အသက်မပါဘူးလေ။

I know that beat.

မင်းတို့ ရိုက်ခတ်နေတဲ့ ဒီအရေခွံကို ရင်းရင်းနှီးနှီးကို သိပါတယ်။

It is lifeless.

တစ်ခါတုန်းကတော့ ဒါက အသက်ရှင်ခဲ့တယ်၊

I know intimately that skin you are hitting.

အမဲလိုက်ခံရ၊ အခိုးခံရ၊

It was alive once,

ဆွဲဆန့်ခံခဲ့ရတယ်။

hunted, stolen,

မင်းတို့ ထောက်ခံအားပေးတဲ့ စစ်ပွဲထဲ ငါလိုက်မကဘူး။

stretched.

မင်းတို့အတွက် ပစ်လိုက်၊ လှည့်လိုက်၊ ခွဲလိုက် မလုပ်ဘူး။

I will not dance to your drummed-up war.

မင်းတို့အတွက် မုန်းပေးမှာ မဟုတ်ဘူး၊

I will not pop, spin, break for you.

မင်းတို့ကို မုန်းတောင် မမုန်းဘူး။

I will not hate for you

မင်းတို့အတွက် သတ်မပေးဘူး၊

or even hate you.

အထူးသဖြင့် မင်းတို့အတွက် အသေမခံဘူး။

I will not kill for you.

Especially I will not die for you.

သတ်လို့ သေတာ၊ သတ်သေတာ အတွက် မပူဆွေးဘူး။

မင်းတို့ဘက်မပါဘူး၊ ဗုံးတွေနဲ့လည်း မကဘူး၊

I will not mourn the dead with murder nor suicide.

အကြောင်းက လူတိုင်းကနေကြတာကိုး။

I will not side with you or dance to bombs

လူတိုင်း မှားနိုင်ပါတယ်။

because everyone is dancing.

ဘဝဆိုတာ အခွင့်အရေးတစ်ခု၊ ဒွန်တွဲတာ၊ အမှတ်မထင် ရတာ မဟုတ်ဘူး။

Everyone can be wrong.

Life is a right, not collateral or casual.

ငါ့ဘဝကို ငါမမေ့ဘူး။

ငါ့ကိုယ်ပိုင် ဗုံကို ငါဖန်တီးမယ်။

I will not forget where I come from.

ငါချစ်တဲ့သူတွေကို အနားမှာစုပြီး

I will craft my own drum.

ငါတို့ ကြွေးကြော်ခြင်းက ကနေမယ်။


Gather my beloved near,

ငါတို့ ညည်းခြင်းက စည်းချက်လိုက်မယ်။


and our chanting will be dancing.

ငါ့ကို တီးမှုတ်လို့မရဘူး။

Our humming will be drumming.

ငါ့အမည်၊ ငါ့စည်းချက်ကို မင်းတို့ တီးချက်မှာ အားဖြည့်ပေးမှာ မဟုတ်ဘူး။

I will not be played.

I will not lend my name nor my rhythm to your beat.

ငါကမယ်၊ ခုခံမယ်၊ ကမယ်၊ တင်းခံမယ်၊ ကမယ်။

I will dance and resist and dance and persist and dance.

ဒီနှလုံးခုန်သံဟာ မရဏထက် ပိုကျယ်လောင်တယ်။

မင်းတို့ စစ်ဗုံသံက ဒီအသက်ရှုသံထက်

This heartbeat is louder than death.

I mean, I've been saying I've been prepping.

What that means is prepping my outfit,

It preps you. It aims you.

So I am going to read a poem

ဒါပေမဲ့ ရှင်တို့ ဆယ်မိနစ်လောက် ထိုင်ပြီး

that was chosen just now.

ဒီမှာ မရှိတဲ့ အမျိုးသမီးတစ်ယောက်ကို

But I'm going to need you

ဆုပ်ကိုင်ဖို့ လိုပါလိမ့်မယ်။

to just sit for like 10 minutes

သူမကို အခု ရှင်တို့နဲ့အတူ

and hold a woman who is not here.

ဆုပ်ကိုင်လိုက်ပါ။

Hold her now

with you.

But my head unwraps

လူသားရဲ့ ထွင်တတ်တဲ့ အကြမ်းဖက်မှု

around what appears limitless,

ဘယ်သူ့သား ပါလိမ့်။

man's creative violence.

ဘယ် အထီး ကလေးငယ် နေ့သစ်မှာ သေသွားမလဲ။

Whose son shall it be?

Which male child will perish a new day?

တို့ကောင်လေးတွေရဲ့ သေဆုံးခြင်းတွေ သွပ်ရည်စိမ်၊

အလောင်းကောင်တွေကို ငါတို့မြတ်နိုး

Our boys' deaths galvanize.

အမျိုးသမီးတွေအတွက် ကြေကွဲ၊ ရှုပ်ထွေးနေတယ်၊

We cherish corpses.

ကောင်မတွေ နေ့တိုင်း အရိုက်ခံရတယ်၊

We mourn women, complicated.

အမြတ်တွေရတယ်၊ တမန်တော်တွေ လျစ်လျှူပြုခံရ

Bitches get beat daily.

စစ်ပွဲနဲ့ သွားက၊ ကြွေရည်သုတ်၊ ဆားနယ် သံပရာသီး ကလေးဘဝတွေ။

Profits made, prophets ignored.

အရောင်တွေအကုန်ကျွတ်၊ ဘယ်သူမှ မခိုင်မြဲဘူး။

War and tooth, enameled salted lemon childhoods.

ငါ့နောက်က အရိပ်ကိုမရှာနဲ့၊ ကိုယ်တွင်းမှာ သယ်လာတာ၊

All colors run, none of us solid.

အလင်းနဲ့ အမှောင် စက်ဝန်းတွေထဲ ငါနေထိုင်တယ်။

Don't look for shadow behind me. I carry it within.

စည်းချက်က တစ်ဝက် တီတ်ဆိတ်နေတယ်။

I live cycles of light and darkness.

အခုမြင်ပြီ၊ တစ်ခါမှ တစ်ဦးမှ မဖြစ်ခဲ့၊ အခြားဟာလည်း မဟုတ်။

Rhythm is half silence.

I see now, I never was one and not the other.

Sickness, health, tender violence.

I think now I never was pure.

အကန်း၊ ပညာမဲ့၊ ငါဖြစ်နေတုန်းပဲ။

Before form I was storm,

လူသားဟာ ကန်းဖို့၊ ကူးစက်ခံဖို့ ၎င်းဘာသာ ကျုံ့ပစ်တယ်။

blind, ign'ant -- still am.

ဘယ်တုန်းကမှ ကိုယ်ဟာ မဖြူစင်ခဲ့ဘူး၊

Human contracted itself blind, malignant.

ကောင်မလေးတွဟာ မရင့်မှည့်ခင် ပျက်စီးခဲ့တယ်။

I never was pure.

ဘသာစကားက ကိုယ့်ကို မမီနိုင်ဘူး။

Girl spoiled before ripened.

ထပ်ညွှန်းလိုက်ကို တွေကြုံခံစားမိတယ်။

Language can't math me.

အရာရာဟာ အရာရာပါပဲ။

I experience exponentially.

အမျိုးသမီးတစ်ယောက်ဟာ ၁၅ ဦး အဦး၂၀ ရှိနိုင်တဲ့ မိသားစုဝင်တွေ ဆုံးရှုံးတယ်။

Everything is everything.

One woman loses 15, maybe 20, members of her family.

တစ်ယောက်က ၆ ဦးဆုံးရှုံးတယ်။

One woman loses six.

One woman searches rubble. One woman feeds on trash.

တစ်ယောက်က သူ့ကိုယ်သူ ချည်တယ်

One woman shoots her face. One woman shoots her husband.

တစ်ယောက်က ကလေး မွေးဖွားတယ်​။

One woman straps herself.

တစ်ယောက်က နယ်စပ်မှာ ကလေး မွေးဖွားတယ်။

One woman gives birth to a baby.

တစ်ယောက်က အချစ်က သူမကို ရှာမယ်လို့ မယုံတော့ဘူး။

One woman gives birth to borders.

တစ်ယောက်က ဘယ်တောမှ မယုံခဲ့တာ။

One woman no longer believes love will ever find her.

ဒုက္ခသည် နှလုံးသားတွေ ဘယ်သွားကြလဲ။

One woman never did.

ကြေကွဲ၊ စော်ကားခံရကာ

Where do refugee hearts go?

သူတို့လာရမဟုတ်တဲ့၊ အပျောက်ခံချင်တဲ့ နေရာမှာ အထားခံရတယ်။

Broken, dissed,

ပျက်ကွက်မှုနဲ့ ရင်ဆိုင်တယ်။

placed where they're not from, don't want to be missed.

တစ်ဦးချင်းစီအတွက် ကြေကွဲကြတယ်

Faced with absence.

ဒါမှမဟုတ် လုံးဝ အနက်မဖွင့်ဘူး။

We mourn each one

ငါ့ကျောရိုးက ခွေလိမ်ကွေးသွားတယ်။

De facto landmines.

ရိတ်သိမ်းတဲ့ အဆိပ်သင့် ဆေးရွက်ကြီး

A smoldering grief.

ရိတ်သိမ်းတဲ့ ဗုံးတွေ

Harvest contaminated tobacco.

ရိတ်သိမ်းတဲ့ ငယ်သွားတွေ

Harvest bombs.

ရိတ်သိမ်းတဲ့ ထန်းပင်တွေ၊၊ မီးခိုး

Harvest baby teeth.

သက်သေကို ရိတ်သိမ်း မီးခိုး

Harvest palms, smoke.

ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်တွေ၊ မီးခိုး

Harvest witness, smoke.

ကယ်တင်ခြင်း၊ မီးခိုး

Resolutions, smoke.

အဖတ်ဆယ်ခြင်း၊ မီးခိုး

Salvation, smoke.

အသက်ရှူလိုက်

Redemption, smoke.

ပေါက်ကွဲသွားတာကို

Breathe.

မကြောက်နဲ့။

Do not fear

what has blown up.

ကြောက်ရမယ်ဆို

မပေါက်ကွဲတာကို ကြောက်။

If you must,

fear the unexploded.

ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်။
