Fifty years ago, when I began exploring the ocean,

Natural systems on the land are in big trouble too,

that there are now more than 4,000 places in the sea, around the world,

that you have to look hard to find them.

the U.S. protected 340,000 square miles of ocean as national monuments.

But it only increased from 0.6 of one percent
