While preparing for my talk

وقتی خودم رابرای این سخنرانی آماده می کردم

I was reflecting on my life and trying to figure out

به زندگی خودم نگاه کردم تا ببینم

where exactly was that moment when my journey began.

دقیقا کی سفرم آغاز شد

A long time passed by, and I simply couldn't figure out

مدت زیادی گذشت، و من واقعا

the beginning or the middle or the end of my story.

شروع، میانه و پایان داستانم را نمی دانستم.

I always used to think that my beginning

همیشه فکر می کردم ابتدای کارم

was one afternoon in my community when my mother had told me

آن بعد از ظهری بود که مادرم گفت

that I had escaped three arranged marriages by the time I was two.

قبل از دو سالگی از دو ازدواج از پیش تعیین شده فرار کرده بودم

Or one evening when electricity had failed for eight hours in our community,

یا آن شبی که که در قبیله مان برق برای هشت ساعت قطع شده بود،

and my dad sat, surrounded by all of us,

و پدرم در بین ما نشسته بود

telling us stories of when he was a little kid struggling to go to school

و برایمآن داستانهایی از تلاشش برای مدرسه رفتن وقتی بچه بوده ميگفت

while his father, who was a farmer, wanted him to work in the fields with him.

وقتی پدرش، که کشاورز بوده، ميخواسته همراهش در مزرعه کارکند.

Or that dark night when I was 16

یا آن شب تاریک در ۱۶ سالگی ام

when three little kids had come to me and they whispered in my ear

که سه بچه کوچک به طرفم آمدند و در گوشم پچ پچ کردند

that my friend was murdered in something called the honor killings.

که یکی از دوستانم کشته شده است، در چیزی بنام قتل ناموسی.

But then I realized that,

آن موقع بود که فهمیدم

as much as I know that these moments have contributed on my journey,

با اینکه میدانم تمام این لحظات بخشی از سفرم بوده اند،

they have influenced my journey

و روی سفرم تاثیر گذاشته اند

but they have not been the beginning of it,

اما شروع ماجرا نبوده اند،

but the true beginning of my journey was in front of a mud house

شروع واقعی سفر من روبروی یک خانه خشتی اتفاق افتاد

in upper Sindh of Pakistan,

در بخش شمالی سند پاکستان،

where my father held the hand of my 14-year-old mother

وقتی پدرم دست مادر ۱۴ ساله ام را گرفت

and they decided to walk out of the village

و تصمیم گرفتند از دهکده خارج شوند

to go to a town where they could send their kids to school.

و به شهری بروند که میتوانستند بچه هايشان را به مدرسه بفرستند .

In a way, I feel like my life

یک جورایی، احساس میکنم زندگی من

is kind of a result of some wise choices and decisions they've made.

حاصل برخی از انتخاب ها و تصمیمات عاقلانه ی آنهاست.

And just like that, another of their decisions

مثلا، تصمیم دیگرشان این بود

was to keep me and my siblings connected to our roots.

که من و بقیه خواهر و برادرانم از ریشه هامان جدا نشویم

While we were living in a community I fondly remember as called Ribabad,

وقتی در قبیله ای به نام غریب آباد زندگی می کردیم،

which means community of the poor,

به معنای قبیله فقرا،

my dad made sure that we also had a house in our rural homeland.

پدر برایمان خانه ای هم در سرزمین اجدادی گرفت

I come from an indigenous tribe in the mountains of Balochistan

من از اهالی قبیله ای بومی کوه های بلوچستان هستم

called Brahui.

به نام براهوی.

Brahui, or Brohi, means mountain dweller, and it is also my language.

براهوی یا بروهی، یعنی کوه‌نشین، زبان من هم هست.

Thanks to my father's very strict rules about connecting to our customs,

به لطف قوانین خشک پدر برای احترام به رسوم،

I had to live a beautiful life of songs, cultures, traditions, stories, mountains,

زندگی زیبایی پر از آواز، فرهنگ، رسوم، داستان، کوه،

and a lot of sheep.

و تعداد زیبایی گوسفند داشتم.

But then, living in two extremes

با این حال، زندگی در دو قطب

between the traditions of my culture, of my village,

بین سنت های فرهنگی، روستایم،

and then modern education in my school wasn't easy.

و تحصیلات امروزی مدرسه کار ساده ای نبود.

I was aware that I was the only girl who got to have such freedom,

and I was guilty of it.

While going to school in Karachi and Hyderabad,

شاهد ازدواج بسیاری از دختر های اقوام و دوستان دوران کودکی ام بودم،

a lot of my cousins and childhood friends were getting married off,

بعضی با مردان بزرگتر ازخود، بعضی معاوضه میشدند،

some to older men, some in exchange,

و بعضی ها هم همسر دوم میشدند.

some even as second wives.

شاهد رنگ باختن آن رسوم زیبا و در جلو چشمانم بودم،

I got to see the beautiful tradition and its magic fade in front of me

با دیدن اینکه چطور تولد دختران با غم جشن گرفته میشد،

when I saw that the birth of a girl child was celebrated with sadness,

وقتی می دیدم که چطور به زنان گفته میشد که صبر ویژگی اصلی انهاست

when women were told to have patience as their main virtue.

تا وقتی ۱۵ ساله شدم،

Up until I was 16,

اندوهم را با گریه تسلی میدادم،

I healed my sadness by crying,

بیشتر شب ها وقتی دیگران خواب بودند

mostly at nights when everyone would sleep

و روی بالشتم زار میزدم

and I would sob in my pillow,

تاشبی که متوجه شدم یکی از دوستانم کشته شده

until that one night when I found out my friend was killed

به خاطر مسایل ناموسی

in the name of honor.

قتل ناموسی رسمی است

Honor killings is a custom

که وقتی مردها و زن ها مشکوک به داشتن رابطه

where men and women are suspected of having relationships

قبل یا خارج از ازدواج هستند

before or outside of the marriage,

به دست خانواده شان کشته می شوند

and they're killed by their family for it.

معمولا به دست برادر یا پدر یا عموی خانواده

Usually the killer is the brother or father or the uncle in the family.

گذارش سازمان ملل از ۱٫۰۰۰ فقره قتل ناموسی در سال در پاکستان خبر میدهد

The U.N. reports there are about 1,000 honor murders every year in Pakistan,

و تازه این مواردیست که گذارش شده

and these are only the reported cases.

رسمی که اساسش کشتن است برای من معنایی نداشت

A custom that kills did not make any sense to me,

و میدانستم که باید برایش کاری بکنم

and I knew I had to do something about it this time.

دیگر نمیخواستم آنقدر گریه کنم تا خوابم ببرد

I was not going to cry myself to sleep.

میخواستم کاری بکنم، هر کاری، تا جلویش را بگیرم

I was going to do something, anything, to stop it.

۱۶ سالم بود، شروع به شعر گفتن کردم

I was 16 -- I started writing poetry

خانه به خانه راه افتادم و از قتل ناموسی گفتم

and going door to door telling everybody about honor killings

و اینکه چرا اتفاق میفتد، و چرا باید تمامش کرد،

and why it happens, why it should be stopped,

و آگاهی را بالا میبردم تا راه بسیار بهتری

and raising awareness about it

برای رفع مسئله پیدا کردم

until I actually found a much, much better way to handle this issue.

آن روزها، در خانه یک خوابه خیلی کوچکی در کراچی زندگی می کردیم

In those days, we were living in a very small, one-roomed house in Karachi.

هر سال،در فصل باران، خانه مان را پر از آب میشد

Every year, during the monsoon seasons, our house would flood up with water --

سیلاب و فاضلاب..

rainwater and sewage --

و پدرو مادرم آب را خالی می کردند

and my mom and dad would be taking the water out.

آن روز ها ، والدینم یک ماشین بزرگ به خانه آوردند، یک کامپیوتر

In those days, my dad brought home a huge machine, a computer.

آنقدر بزرگ بود که به نظر می رسید نصف تنها اتاق ما را بگیرد

It was so big it looked as if it was going to take up half of the only room we had,

و یک عالمه قطعه وسیم داشت که باید وصل می شدند

and had so many pieces and wires that needed to be connected.

با این حال هیجان انگیزترین چیزی بود

But it was still the most exciting thing

که برای من و خواهرانم اتفاق افتاد

that has ever happened to me and my sisters.

My oldest brother Ali got to be in charge of taking care of the computer,

و هرکداممان ۱۰ تا ۱۵ دقیق در روز فرصت داشتیم ازش استفاده کنیم

and all of us were given 10 to 15 minutes every day to use it.

از آنجایی که من بین ۸ فرزند بزرگترین بودم

Being the oldest of eight kids,

آخرین نفری که نوبتش میشد هم من بودم

I got to use it the last,

و اون هم بعد از شستن ظرف ها

and that was after I had washed the dishes,

تمیزکردن خانه، پختن شام همراه مادر،

cleaned the house, made dinner with my mom,

انداختن پتو ها برای بقیه تا بخوابند

and put blankets on the floor for everyone to sleep,

و بعد از آن، به سمتش میدویدم،

and after that, I would run to the computer,

به اینترنت وصل می شدم،

connect it to the Internet,

و ۱۰ تا ۱۵ دقیقه لذت نابی میبردم

and have pure joy and wonder for 10 to 15 minutes.

آن روزها،با وبسایتی بنام Joogle آشنا شدم

In those days, I had discovered a website called Joogle.

برای دستیابی به آرزوی وافرم برای توقف این سنت

In my frantic wish to do something about this custom,

از گوگل استفاده کردم و با فیس بوک آشنا شدم

I made use of Google and discovered Facebook,

وبسایتی که با آن مردم می توانستند با هرکسی در جهان وصل شوند

a website where people can connect to anyone around the world,

بنابراین از اتاق کوچک سیمانی ام در کراچی،

and so, from my very tiny, cement-roofed room in Karachi,

با مردمی در انگلیس، آمریکا و کانادا متصل شدم

I connected with people in the U.K., the U.S., Australia and Canada,

و کمپینی بنام

and created a campaign called

بیداری بر ضد قتل ناموسی راه اندازی کردم

WAKE UP Campaign against Honor Killings.

در عرض فقط چند ماه وسعت پیدا کرد

It became enormous in just a few months.

از سراسر جهان حمایت زیادی شدم

I got a lot of support from all around the world.

رسانه ها با ما مرتبط شده بودند، آدم های

Media was connecting to us.

زیادی آماده افزایش آگاهی

A lot of people were reaching out trying to raise awareness with us.

بودند. آنقدر بزرگ شد تا از فضای مجازی به کوچه پس کوچه های شهرم رسید

It became so big that it went from online to the streets of my hometown,

جایی که به راهپیمایی و اعتصاب دست زدیم

where we would do rallies and strikes

به امید تغییر قوانین پاکستان به نفع زنان.

trying to change the policies in Pakistan for women's support.

و وقتی فکر می کردم همه چیز عالی پیش میرود

And while I thought everything was perfect,

تیم من، که انوقت تنها دوستان وهمسایگان بودند،

my team -- which was basically my friends and neighbors at that time --

فکر میکردند که همه چیز روبراه است

thought everything was going so well,

تصور نمی کردیم بامخالفت زیادی روبرو میشویم

we had no idea a big opposition was coming to us.

قبیله مان در مقابلمان ایستاد

My community stood up against us,

که ما رفتار غیر اسلامی نشر میدهیم

saying we were spreading un-Islamic behavior.

داشتیم با سنت های صد ها ساله آن قبایل میجنگیدیم

We were challenging centuries-old customs in those communities.

یادم میاید که پدرم نامه های بی نامی دریافت میکرد

I remember my father receiving anonymous letters

که،"دخترت فرهنگ غرب را در جوامع آبرومند

saying, "Your daughter is spreading Western culture

اشاعه میدهد

in the honorable societies."

به ماشینمان سنگ پرتاب کرده بودند

Our car was stoned at one point.

یکبار که به دفترم رفتم دیدم تابلو آهنی دفتر

One day I went to the office and found our metal signboard

مچاله و شکسته شده بود انگار آدم های زیادی با یک چیز سنگین بجانش افتاده بودند

wrinkled and broken as if a lot of people had been hitting it with something heavy.

جریان آنقدر خرناک شد که مجبور شدم حسابی خودم را مخفی کنم

Things got so bad that I had to hide myself in many ways.

پنجره های ماشین را بالا میکشیدم

I would put up the windows of the car,

صورتم را میپوشاندم و وقتی در مکان های عمومی بودم صحبت نمیکردم

veil my face, not speak while I was in public,

اما در نهایت اوضاع با تهدید جانم بدتر شد،

but eventually situations got worse when my life was threatened,

و مجبور شدم آنجارا ترک و به کراچی برگردم و فعالیت هایمان متوقف شد.

and I had to leave, back to Karachi, and our actions stopped.

وقتی به کراچی بازگشتم 18 ساله بودم

Back in Karachi, as an 18-year-old,

فکر می کردم این بزرگترین شکست زندگی ام است

I thought this was the biggest failure of my entire life.

مستاصل شده بودم. به عنوان

I was devastated.

یک نوجوان خودم را مقصر همه چیز میدانستم.

As a teenager, I was blaming myself for everything that happened.

وقتی به آن فکر کردیم

And it turns out, when we started reflecting,

متوجه شدیم در حقیقت مقصر من و تیمم بوده ایم

we did realize that it was actually me and my team's fault.

دو دلیل مهم وجود داشت که مبارزه ما با آن شکست بزرگ مواجه شد

There were two big reasons why our campaign had failed big time.

یکی از آنها، اولینشان، این بود

One of those, the first reason,

که در مقابل ارزشهای مرکزی مردم ایستاده بودیم

is we were standing against core values of people.

به چیزی نه گفته بودیم که برایشان اهمیت زیادی داشت

We were saying no to something that was very important to them,

نشانه آبرویشان را به چالش کشیده بودیم

challenging their code of honor,

و در این جریان به سختی آزارشان داده بودیم

and hurting them deeply in the process.

و شماره دو، که درس بزرگی به من داد،

And number two, which was very important for me to learn,

و دانستنش برایم کاملا جالب بود،

and amazing, and surprising for me to learn,

که ما قهرمانان واقعی نبودیم

was that we were not including the true heroes

که باید برای خودشان میجنگیدند.

who should be fighting for themselves.

زنان روستا اصلا نمیدانستند برای انها میجنگیدیم.

The women in the villages had no idea we were fighting for them in the streets.

هر بار برمیگشتم

Every time I would go back,

اقوام وهمسایه را با صورت

I would find my cousins and friends with scarves on their faces,

پوشانده میدیدم و میپرسیدم "چه شده"

and I would ask, "What happened?"

و می گفتند "شوهرانمان کتکمان زده اند"

And they'd be like, "Our husbands beat us."

ولی ما در خیابان برای تو کار می کردیم!

But we are working in the streets for you!

داریم قوانین را تغییر می دهیم.

We are changing the policies.

چطور روی زندگیشان تاثیر نمیگذاشت؟

How is that not impacting their life?

بنابراین به نتیجه ای رسیدیم که برایمان خیلی جالب بود.

So then we found out something which was very amazing for us.

قوانین کشورمان

The policies of a country

لزوما بروی جوامع بومی و قبیله ای تاثیری نمی گذارد.

do not necessarily always affect the tribal and rural communities.

این خیلی ناامید کننده بود،آه، واقعا نمیتوانیم برایش کاری بکنیم؟

It was devastating -- like, oh, we can't actually do something about this?

و فهمیدیم فاصله زیادی بین

And we found out there's a huge gap

قوانین رسمی و حقیقت واقع در زندگی وجود دارد

when it comes to official policies and the real truth on the ground.

بنابراین اینبار، تصمیم گرفتیم کار متفاوتی انجام دهیم

So this time, we were like, we are going to do something different.

استراتژی جدید بکار گرفتیم،

We are going to use strategy,

که برگردیم و عذرخواهی کنیم.

and we are going to go back and apologize.

بله، عذر خواهی.

Yes, apologize.

به قبایل بازگشتیم

We went back to the communities

و گفتیم از آنچه کردیم شرمنده ایم

and we said we are very ashamed of what we did.

آماده ایم برای عذر خواهی و جبران آنچه کرده ایم

We are here to apologize, and in fact, we are here to make it up to you.

چطور جبران می کنیم ؟

How do we do that?

سه سنت اصلی را ترقی دهیم،

We are going to promote three of your main cultures.

که میدانیم موسیقی، زبان و گلدوزی است.

We know that it's music, language, and embroidery.

هیچ کس حرفمان را باورنکرد.

Nobody believed us.

هیچ کس نمی خواست با ما کار کند.

Nobody wanted to work with us.

بحث و گفتگوی زیادی با این قبایل انجام شد

It took a lot of convincing and discussions with these communities

تا موافقت کردند که زبانشان را با

until they agreed that we are going to promote their language

ساختن کتابچه هایی از داستان ها ، افسانه ها و مثل هایشان توصعه دهیم

by making a booklet of their stories, fables and old tales in the tribe,

و موسیقی شان را با

and we would promote their music

ساختن سی دی هایی از ترانه ایشان با ضرب

by making a CD of the songs from the tribe, and some drumbeating.

و سوم که برای من جذاب ترینشان بود

And the third, which was my favorite,

هنر گلدوزیشان را با ایجاد مرکزی در دهکده

was we would promote their embroidery by making a center in the village

جایی که زن ها هررزو برای گلدوزی جمع شوند .

where women would come every day to make embroidery.

و کار شروع شد.

And so it began.

با یک دهکده شروع واولین مرکزمان را زدیم.

We worked with one village, and we started our first center.

روز زیبایی بود.

It was a beautiful day.

مرکز را باز کردیم.زن ها

We started the center.

برا ی گلدوزی میامدند و

Women were coming to make embroidery,

از جریان آموزشی که زندگیشان را تغییر میداد

and going through a life-changing process of education,

میگذشتند راجع به حقوقشان، آنچه اسلام راجع به حقشان می گوید

learning about their rights, what Islam says about their rights,

و ایجاد سرمایه، و اینکه چطور می توانند پول بدست بیاورند

and enterprise development, how they can create money,

و چطور از پولشان پول بدست بیاورند

and then how they can create money from money,

چطور با سنت هایی که زندگیشان را قرن های زیادی

how they can fight the customs that have been destroying their lives

نابود کرده بود بجنگند

from so many centuries,

زیرا در اسلام حقیقی

because in Islam, in reality,

زن ها شانه به شانه مردها حرکت می کنند

women are supposed to be shoulder to shoulder with men.

زن از مقام بالایی برخوردار است که راجع بش نشنیده ایم

Women have so much status that we have not been hearing,

و آنها هم نشنیده بودند

that they have not been hearing,

و لازم بود که بهشان بگوییم باید بدانند

and we needed to tell them that they need to know

که حقشان چیست و چطور خودشان آن را بگیرند

where their rights are and how to take them by themselves,

چون این کاری بود که آنها میتوانستند نه ما.

because they can do it and we can't.

بنابراین نتیجه کار این بود، خیلی جالب بود

So this was the model which actually came out -- very amazing.

از راه گلدوزی رسومشان را ترقی میدادیم

Through embroidery we were promoting their traditions.

به دهکده میرفتیم و قبیله را بسیج می کردیم

We went into the village. We would mobilize the community.

مرکزی می ساختیم که ۳۰ زن در آن جمع میشدند

We would make a center inside where 30 women will come

و برای 6 ماه علاوه بر گلدوزی ارزش ها را می اموختند

for six months to learn about value addition of traditional embroidery,

و راجع به سرمایه گذاری، مهارت های زندگی و آموزش های ابتدایی

enterprise development, life skills and basic education,

و راجع به حقوقشان و اینکه چطور به رسوم نه بگویند

and about their rights and how to say no to those customs

و چطور برای خودشان و قبیله شان پیشرو باشند.

and how to stand as leaders for themselves and the society.

بعد از ۶ ماه این زن ها را به مراکز وام و بازار معرفی میکردیم

After six months, we would connect these women to loans and to markets

تا بتوانند در قبایلشان کارآفرین محلی باشند

where they can become local entrepreneurs in their communities.

بزودی این پروژه را سوغر نامیدیم.

We soon called this project Sughar.

سوغر یک کلمه محلی است که در بسیاری از زبان های پاکستان وجود دارد

Sughar is a local word used in many, many languages in Pakistan.

به معنی زنان مقتدر و با مهارت

It means skilled and confident women.

من عمیقا باور دارم، برای بوجود آوردن زنان پیشرو، تنها یک کارباید کرد

I truly believe, to create women leaders, there's only one thing you have to do:

باید بگذاریم بدانند برای پیشرو بودن چه چیزی لازم دارند

Just let them know that they have what it takes to be a leader.

زنانی که اینجا میبینید

These women you see here,

بسیار ماهرند وتوان رهبری دارند،

they have strong skills and potential to be leaders.

تنها کاری که باید می کردیم برطرف کردن موانع اطرافشان بود

All we had to do was remove the barriers that surrounded them,

واین کاری بود که تصمیم گرفتیم انجام بدهیم

and that's what we decided to do.

اما وقتی فکر می کردیم همه چیز خوب پیش میرود

But then while we were thinking everything was going well,

،دوباره همه چیز عالی پیش میرفت،

once again everything was fantastic,

با عقب گرد دیگری روبرو شدیم:

we found our next setback:

مردها شاهد تغییرات محسوسی در همسرانشان شدند.

A lot of men started seeing the visible changes in their wife.

بیشتر حرف میزند... تصمیم میگیرد..

She's speaking more, she's making decisions --

خدای من، همه امور خانه را در دست گرفته است.

oh my gosh, she's handling everything in the house.

جلوی آمدن زن ها به مرکز را گرفتند

They stopped them from coming to the centers,

و اینبار با خودمان گفتیم، خب نوبت استراتژی دوم است

and this time, we were like, okay, time for strategy two.

وارد صنعت مد در پاکستان شدیم

We went to the fashion industry in Pakistan

و تصمیم گرفتیم راجع به امور آنجا تحقیق کنیم.

and decided to do research about what happens there.

معلوم شد صنعت مد در پاکستان بسیار قویست و هر روزه پیشرفت میکند،

Turns out the fashion industry in Pakistan is very strong and growing day by day,

امانه نشانه ای از مناطق قبیله نشین دارد

but there is less contribution from the tribal areas

نه رابطه ای با آن مناطق ، مخصوصا زنانش .

and to the tribal areas, especially women.

بنابراین تصمیم راه اندازی اولین برند مد زنان قبیله نشین گرفتیم

So we decided to launch our first ever tribal women's very own fashion brand,

که الان Nomads(کوچ نشین ها) نام دارد

which is now called Nomads.

بنابر این زن ها پول بیشتری بدست آوردند

And so women started earning more,

حالا بخش بیشتری از مخارج خانه دست آنها بود

they started contributing more financially to the house,

حالا مردها قبل از نه گفتن برای آمدن به مرکز

and men had to think again before saying no to them

باید بیشتر فکر میکردند

when they were coming to the centers.

در ۲۰۱۳، اولین مرکز سوغر راه افتاد

In 2013, we launched our first Sughar Hub instead of a center.

با همکاری TripAdvisor

We partnered with TripAdvisor

در مرکز دهکده یک سالن سیمانی درست کردیم

and created a cement hall in the middle of a village

و از سازمانهای زیاد دیگری دعوت بکار کردیم

and invited so many other organizations to work over there.

این ایستگاه را برای کارهای عام المنفعه راه انداختیم

We created this platform for the nonprofits

تا بتوانند روی مسایل دیگری که سوغرکار نمیکرد

so they can touch and work on the other issues

کار کنند

that Sughar is not working on,

و جای خوبی برای آموزش دادن است

which would be an easy place for them to give trainings,

به عنوان مدرسه کشاورزی و حتی بازار بکار میرود

use it as a farmer school, even as a marketplace,

و یا هر کار دیگری که میخواستند انجام دهند

and anything they want to use it for,

و کارشان واقعا فوق العاده بود.

and they have been doing really amazingly.

و تا کنون توانسته بودیم از ۹۰۰ زن حمایت کنیم

And so far, we have been able to support 900 women

در ۲۴ دهکده اطراف پاکستان.

in 24 villages around Pakistan.

اما این چیزی نبود که واقعا میخواستم

But that's actually not what I want.

آرزوی من حمایت از یک میلیون زن تا ده سال آینده بود

It is not just going to fund Sughar but many other organizations in Pakistan

to replicate the idea

و حتی راه های خلاقانه تری برای

and to find even more innovative ways

تحقق توانایی های زنان بومی پاکستان بیابند

to unleash the rural women's potential in Pakistan.

Khalida Brohi: I think my job is to give the inspiration out,

نمیتوانم بگویم چطور راههای زیادی هست

I can't teach how to do it, because there are so many different ways.

ما تنها سه راه را تجربه کردیم

We have been experimenting with three ways only.

صدها راه متفاوت برای توانند سازی زنان وجود دارد

There are a hundred different ways to unleash potential in women.

من فقط انگیزه میدهم و شغل من اینست

I would just give the inspiration and that's my job.

و این کار را ادامه میدهم سوغر رشد می کند.

I will keep doing it. Sughar will still be growing.

برنامه مان اینست که دو روستای دیگر را پوشش دهیم

We are planning to reach out to two more villages,

و فکر میکنم بزودی از مرزهای پاکستان میگذریم

and soon I believe we will be scaling out of Pakistan

و به جنوب اسیا و فراتر میرویم

into South Asia and beyond.

ک الف: وقتی راجع به تیمت صحبت میکردی را خیلی دوست داشتم

CA: I love that when you talked about your team in the talk,

منظورم اینست که فقط ۱۸ سال داشتی

I mean, you were all 18 at the time.

تیمت چه شکلی بود؟

What did this team look like?

دوستان مدرسه، درسته؟

This was school friends, right?

خ ب: باور میکنید که من به سنی

KB: Do people here believe that I'm at an age

رسیده ام که در روستایم باید مادربزرگ میشدم؟

where I'm supposed to be a grandmother in my village?

مادرم در ۹ سالگی ازدواج کرد، و من بزرگترین زن مجرد هستم

My mom was married at nine, and I am the oldest woman not married

و هیچ کاری در زندگی ام در روستا نکرده ام.

and not doing anything in my life in my village.

ک الف: صبر کن ببینم،کاری نکرده ای؟

CA: Wait, wait, wait, not doing anything?

خ ب: نه ک الف: درسته.

KB: No. CA: You're right.

خ الف: مردم خیلی اوقات دلشان برای من میسوزد

KB: People feel sorry for me, a lot of times.

ک الف: ولی حالا چقدر وقت در بلوچستان میگذرانی؟

CA: But how much time are you spending now actually back in Balochistan?

خ ب: انجا زندگی میکنم

KB: I live over there.

هنوز بین بلوچستان و کراچی زندگی میکنیم

We live between, still, Karachi and Balochistan.

خواهر برادرانم همه به مدرسه میروند

My siblings are all going to school.

هنوزم بزرگترین هشت فرزند خانواده ام

I am still the oldest of eight siblings.

CA: But what you're doing is definitely threatening to some people there.

How do you handle safety? Do you feel safe?

KB: This question has come to me a lot of times before,

فکر میکنم کلمه ترس تا به سراغم میآید و رنگ میبازد

and I feel like the word "fear" just comes to me and then drops,

اما ترس دیگری دارم که بآان متفاوت است

but there is one fear that I have that is different from that.

ترس اینکه اگر کشته شوم چه اتفاقی برای آنهایی که

The fear is that if I get killed, what would happen to the people

انقدر دوستم دارند میفتد؟

who love me so much?

مادرم تا نیمه شب منتظر میماند تا برگردم

My mom waits for me till late at night that I should come home.

خواهرانم می خواهند چیزهای زیادی از من بیاموزند

My sisters want to learn so much from me,

دختران زیادی در قبیله ام میخواهند با من حرف بزنند

and there are many, many girls in my community who want to talk to me

و سوال های مختلف بپرسند

and ask me different things,

and I recently got engaged. (Laughs)

مجبور شدم یکسال تمام بجنگم. این ماجرای دیگری است.

I had to fight for a whole year. That's totally a different story.

اما فکر میکنم این تنها چیزی است که برایش میترسم

But I think that's the only thing that I'm afraid of,

و نمیخواهم شبی بیاید که مادر چشم انتظارم کسی را نیابد

and I don't want my mom to not see anyone when she waits in the night.

CA: So people who want to help you on their way,

KB: Definitely. We are looking for as many people as we can,

زیرا الان بنیاد در مراحل ابتداییست

because now that the foundation's in the beginning process,

و من تلاش میکنم راجع به اجرای کار

I am trying to learn a lot about how to operate,

سرمایه جمع کردن، ارتباط با سازمانهای دیگر و مخصوصا راجع

how to get funding or reach out to more organizations,

به تجارت الکترونیک که برایم کاملا جدید است چیز یاد بگیرم.

and especially in the e-commerce, which is very new for me.

I mean, I am not a fashion person, believe me.
