Jakob Trollback: Rethinking the music video

I’m working a lot with motion and animation,

मैं आजकल गति और जीवन्तता के साथ बहुत काम कर रहा हूँ,

and also I'm an old DJ and a musician.

और मैं एक पुराना डीजे और एक संगीतकार भी हूँ।

So, music videos are something that I always found interesting,

इसलिए संगीत के चलचित्र मुझे हमेशा दिलचस्प लगते हैं,

but they always seem to be so reactive.

परन्तु वो हमेशा प्रतिक्रियाशील प्रतीत होते हैं।

So I was thinking, can you remove us as creators

इसलिए मैं सोच रहा था , क्या आप हमें रचियता ना बना कर

and try to make the music be the voice

और संगीत को ही आवाज़ बनाने की कोशिश कर सकते हैं

and have the animation following it?

और जीवन्तता इसका अनुकरण करे?

So with two designers, Tolga and Christina, at my office, we took a track --

दो रूपकारों , तोल्गा और करिसटीना, के साथ मिलकर मैंने ऑफिस में एक गाना चुना--

many of you probably know it. It’s about 25 years old,

आप सब में काफी लोग इसे शायद जानते होंगे। यह लगभग 25 साल पुराना है गाना है,

and it's David Byrne and Brian Eno --

और यह डेविड ब्य्रने और ब्रियन एनो हैं--

and we did this little animation.

और हमने यह छोटी सी जीवन्तता की।

And I think that it's maybe interesting, also,

that it deals with two problematic issues,

which are rising waters and religion.

Song: Before God destroyed the people on the Earth,

he warned Noah to build an Ark.

नोआह को बड़ा जहाज़ बनाने की चेतावनी दी थी।

And after Noah built his Ark,

और जब नोआह ने बड़ा जहाज़ बना लिया,

I believe he told Noah to warn the people

मुझे यकीन है की भगवान् ने नोआह को लोगों को चेतावनी देने की लिया कहा था

that they must change all their wicked ways

कि उन्हें अपने सभी दुष्ट तरीके बदलने पड़ेंगे

before he come upon them and destroy them.

इससे पहले की वो यहाँ आ कर उन्हें नष्ट करें।

And when Noah had done built his Ark,

और जब नोआह ने बड़ी जहाज़ बना ली,

I understand that somebody began to rend a song.

मैं समझता हूँ की कोई एक गीत चिल्लाने लगा।

And the song began to move on I understand like this.

और मैं ऐसा समझता हु कि यह गाना ऐसे चलने लगा।

And when Noah had done built his Ark ...

और जब नोआह ने बड़ी जहाज़ बना ली....

Move on ... In fact ... Concern ...

चलते रहो ...वास्तव में ..चिंता है ..

So they get tired, has come dark and rain; they get weary and tired.

और जब वो थक गए, अँधेरा हो गया और बारिश आ गयी ; वो ऊब गए और थक गए।

And then he went and knocked an old lady house.

और तब उसने एक बुजुर्ग औरत के घर का दरवाज़ा खटखटाया।

And old lady ran to the door and say, "Who is it?"

और एक बुजुर्ग औरत दरवाज़े पे आई और बोली,"कौन है?"

Jack say, "Me, Mama-san, could we spend the night here?

जैक ने कहा," मैं,मामा-सान, क्या हम यहाँ रात व्यतीत कर सकते है?

Because we’re far from home, we’re very tired."

क्योंकि हम घर से बहुत दूर हैं, हम बहुत थके हुए हैं।"

And the old lady said, "Oh yes, come on in."

और बुजुर्ग औरत ने कहा,"हाँ , अन्दर आ जाईऐ ।

It was come dark and rain, will make you weary and tired.

अँधेरा हो गया हैं और बारिश भी आ गयी है,यह आपको ऊबाऊ और थका हुआ बना देगी।
