Humans do not see trees.

इंसानो को पेड़ नहीं दीखते।

They walk by us every day.

वह हमारे पास से हर दिन गुज़रते हैं

They sit and sleep, smoke and picnic

वह हमारी छाया में बैठते हैं, सोते हैं, सिगरेट पीते हैं, पिकनिक करते हैं,

and secretly kiss in our shade.

They pluck our leaves and gorge on our fruits.

They break our branches

So one of the many beauties of the art of storytelling

at a time when our planet is burning

Tree time is circular.

Both the past and the future breathe within the present moment.

And the present does not move in one direction.

Instead it draws circles within circles,
