Now this show is a gentle, respectful and very blunt way

इस शो के ज़रिये मैं, आदर, सामान और सीधे तरीके से

of calling out corrupt African leaders.

अफ्रीका के भ्रष्ट नेताओं की निंदा करती हू।

I need some water --

मुझे पानी चाहिए --

I said I need some water!

मैंने बोलै मुझे पानी दो !

See?

I basically keep it real with them, ha!

मई सीढ़ी बात करती हूँ

Especially when they mess up, which is a lot of times.

जब वो लोग गलती करते हैं, जो बोहोत होता हैं,

If any African official is watching me, by the way,

वैसे अगर कोई अफ्रीकन नेता मुझे इस समय देख रहा हैं

I'm not talking about you, sir.

तो मैं आपकी बात नहीं कर रही हू।

I'm talking about your colleagues, yes.

मैं आपके साथियों की बात कर रही हू।

I do this because Africa has everything in it to be great.

मैं ये इसलिए करती हूँ क्युकी अफ्रीका में खूब शमता हैं।

You know, I grew up believing

मैं ये सोच कर बड़ी हुई,

that Africa as a continent is a giant.

के अफ्रीका का कांटिनेंट विशाल हैं I

We've got skills, intellectuals,

हमारे पास हुनर , समझदारी ,

natural resources more than any other continent.

और अधिक प्रकृति सम्पदा हैं I

Africa supplies 31 percent of the world's gold,

दुनिया का ३१% सोना , मैंगनीज और यूरेनियम,

manganese and uranium,

अफ्रीका सप्लाई करता है,

57 percent of the world's diamonds

और दुनिया का ५७% हीरा ,

and 13 percent of the world's oil.

१३% तेल भी अफ्रीका से ही आता है।

We have no reason to depend on aid

हमें चीन या वर्ल्ड बैंक के आर्थिक साहित्यह

or borrowing money from China or the World Bank.

की कोई ज़रुरत नहीं हैं।

But without good leaders,

लेकिन अच्छे नेताओं क बिना,

we're like an eagle that has no idea it could fly,

हम एक पक्षी की तरह हैं जिसको उड़ना नहीं आता,

let alone soar.

ऊचा जाने की बात ही नहीं आती।

Africa is a like a sleeping giant.

अफ्रीका एक सोता हुआ दानव हैंI

Now the truth is, I'm trying to wake up this giant,

और मैं,कोशिश कर रही हूँ इसको उठाने की,

and that's why I air the dirty laundry

इसीलिए मैं सफाई कर रही हूँ, उन लोगो की

of those in charge of the giant.

जिसने ऐसी हालत की हैं अफ्रीका क।

Our politicians, our religious leaders,

हमारे नातों, धार्मिक नातों को,

with huge respect, of course,

पूरे समान्न के साथ ,

because more than anything else,

क्युकी अफ्रीका के नेताओं को अपना समान्न,

African leaders love to be respected.

सबसे प्यारा है।

So I give it to them in doses.

इसीलिए मैं उन्हें ये टुकड़ो में दे रही हू।

On my show,

अपने शो पे,

I kneel for them -- ha! --

मैं उनके लिए झुकती हूँ--

I call them my uncles, my aunties,

मैं उनको चाचा, चची ,

my fathers in the lord,

या पिताजी भी बुलाती हू।

and then --

और फिर, हमारी समझदारी पर--

I insult them for insulting our intelligence.

मज़ाक उड़ाने के लिए, मैं उनकी बेज़्जतत्ति करती हूँ।

And it's because we are tired

क्युकी हम परेशान हो गए हैं

of the hypocrisy and false promises.

For example,

the Nigerian president vowed to end medical tourism

नाइजीरिया के राष्ट्रपति ने वचन लिया था की वो मेडिकल टूरिज्म बंध करेंगे

by fixing our dilapidated hospitals

and building us new ones.

और नए अस्पताल बना के।

But what did he do?

पर उन्होंने क्या किया?

He spends three months receiving treatment in London in 2017.

२०१७ में वे अपने इलाज के लिए लंदन में थे।

We were without a president for three months.

३ महीने तक यहाँ कोई राष्ट्रपति नहीं था।

We were president-less for three months.

हम राष्ट्रपति के बिना थे।

So then it becomes my job to call out the President,

अब ये मेरा काम हो गया हैं की मैं राष्ट्रपति की बात करू,

with respect, of course.

बिलकुल, आदर के साथ।

I said, "Ha, Mr. President, it's your girl, Adeola.

मैंने बोला, "देखो , राष्ट्रपति साहब, मैं अडोला हूँ ।

You know how I do, how you doing?

आप तो मुझे जानते ही हो , कैसे हो आप?

You have no shame."

I forgot to add "sir."

"Sir, you have no shame.

Thirty-five thousand Nigerian doctors are presently working in the US,

३५००० नाइजीरियन डॉक्टर्स अमेरिका,इंग्लैंड,

the UK and Canada,

और कनाडा में हैं।

doing amazing things,

बोहोत अच्छे काम कर रहे हैं,

because in Nigeria, they are not well-paid,

neither do they have the necessary equipment

to do the job of being a doctor.

And this is happening in many African countries.

We have the capacity to fly.

But sadly, a lot of African talent is flying straight out of Africa

to other continents.

For example,

this Nigerian doctor operated on an unborn baby

एक नाइजीरिया के डॉक्टर ने ऑपरेशन किया एक अजन्मे बच्चे पर

in Texas.

टेक्सास, अमेरिका में।

Also, this Nigerian doctor

इस ही डॉक्टर ने अठेलतेस

discovered the neurological effects of concussion on athletes.

के दिमागी असर कि खोज की जब सिर में चोट लगती हैं।

And many countries have African athletes

कई दक्षो के पास अफ्रीकी अथलेट्स हैं ,

winning the gold medal for them.

जो उनके लिए गोल्ड मैडल लाते हैं I

The interesting thing is,

मज़ेदार बात तो ये हैं की,

we're waiting for God to fix Africa.

हम यहाँ भगवान का इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं।

Like, for real, it's not a joke, we are, we're waiting for God.

सच्ची,मज़ाक नै कर रही।

I mean, just look at the president of Burundi.

आप देखिये, बुरुंडी के राष्ट्रपति को I

He's jailing journalists and opposition members,

उन्होंने पत्रकार और नेताओं को गिरफ्तार किया हैं।

but he declared national day of prayer

पर उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय प्रार्थना दिवस घोषित किया ।

so that people could pray for God to fix the country.

ताकि जनता प्रार्थना करे अफ्रीका के लिए।

And I'm like, shouldn't he be fixing the country?

और मैं सोचती हूँ के क्या ये इनका काम नहीं हैं ?

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.

ना, ना, ना ,ना, ना I

We want God to fix it.

हमें तो चाहिए के भगवान सब ठीक करे।

Do you see what I have to deal with?

आप समाज सकते हो मेरी प्रॉब्लम ?

I'm telling you,

मैं बोल रही हूँ

thunder is getting ready to hit these politicians some day.

जल्द ही तूफ़ान आने वाला हैं इन नेताओं के ऊपर।

We are better than this.

हम इनसे अच्छे हैं I

I want our leaders to start taking responsibility

मुझे चाहिए के ये सब नेता जवाबदारी ले I

and stop putting everything on God.

और भगवान भरोसे न रहे I

God has given us everything we need.

ऊपर वाले ने हमे सब कुछ दिया हैं I

It's right here, let's use it.

सब यही हैं , उसका इस्तेमाल करते हैं।

But here's the thing, my favorite part of what I do

मेरा पसंदीदा काम ये हैं की,

is featuring Africans doing amazing work,

मैं अफ्रीका के लोगो का बेहतरीन काम दिखती हूँ ,

ordinary people touching lives.

साधारण जनता की कहानिया I

Like this Kenyan woman, Wangari Maathai,

जैसे की , एक केन्याई नारी , वंगारी माथै,

the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace prize,

बानी नोबेल पीस प्राइज जितने वाली पहली अफ्रीकी नारी ,

for standing up for human rights

मानव अधिकार के क्षेत्र में

and planting a million trees.

और १० लाख पेड़ लनगे के लिए।

Also this Zimbabwean woman,

एक और जिबाब्वें की नारी

Dr. Tererai Trent,

डॉ. त्रैराइ ट्रेंट ,

who was married off at the age of 14

इनकी शादी १४ साल कि उम्र में हो गई थी ,

in exchange for a cow.

एक गाई के बदले में i

Yet, this woman taught herself to read and write,

तोह भी इसने खुद को पढ़ना, लिखना सिखाय,

and she ended up on Oprah's show.

और बाद में ओपराह शो पर गई I

Oh, Father, I want to be on Oprah some day.

उसका हमेशा से सपना था ओपराह शो पे जाने का I

Today, this woman has built schools

आज, इस औरत ने विद्यालय बनाये हैं,

for thousands of children in Zimbabwe.

हज़ारो ज़िंबाब्वे के बच्चो के लिए।

Also, popular British architect David Adjaye has designed

ऐसे ही, एक बड़े अँगरेज़ वास्तुकार, डेविड अड़जाये ने

spectacular buildings around the world.

पुरे विश्वभर में लाजवाब इमारते को डिज़ाइन किया हैं I

And he's both Ghanian and Tanzanian,

वे तंज़ानिया और घाना के हैं।

so we know that it has to be the Ghanian Jollof rice,

तो हम बोल सकते हैं की उन्होंने घाना जोल्लाफ राइस ,

which he ate,

खाया हैं,

that gave him the inspiration to design.

जिसने उनको प्रेरणा दी डिज़ाइन करने की I

Ah, maybe it's the Nigerian Jollof rice,

शायद वो नाइजीरिया जोल्लाफ राइस हैं

because Nigerian one is better.

क्युकी नाइजीरिया का बेहतर हैं I

Anyway, but that is what gave him the inspiration to become

फिर भी इस ही ने इनको प्रेरणा दी,

the great man that he is today.

आज इतना बड़ा इंसान बनने के लिए।

And while I have your attention,

अब जब आप मुझे सुन रहे हो,

I have one more thing to say,

मुझे एक बात बोलनी हैं।

OK, that's good, don't get too close, that's good.

I don't like the way some of you

portray Africa.

में से कुछ लोग अफ्रीका दिखाते हो।

Not all of you, just some of you.

सब नहीं, बस कुछ ही।

First of all, it's not a country, it's a continent.

सबसे पहले अफ्रीका एक महादेश हैं , देश नहीं।

I do not know Paul from Uganda,

मैं कोई यूगांडा के पॉल को नहीं जानती।

I don't know Rebecca from Zimbabwe.

न तो मई ज़िंबाब्वे कि रेबेका को जानती हूँ,

Nigeria is as far from Zimbabwe

नाइजीरिया बोहोत दूर हैं ज़िंबाब्वे से

as New York is from France.

उतना ही जितना नई यॉर्क हैं फ्रांस से I

And it's not a bunch of naked people in need of Western charity.

और हम इतने भी गरीब नहीं हैं के हमें दान कि ज़रुरत हैं।

You have it all wrong.

आप गलत हो।

शेर रास्तो पे नहीं चल रहे, समझे ?

Lions are not roaming our streets, OK?

And I could go on,

और भी बोहोत हैं,

but you already know what I'm talking about.

पर आप समाज गए हो मेरी बात।

So while I try to do my job,

trying to wake up the sleeping giant, Africa,

सोते हुआ अफ्रीका को उठाने की ,

so she could take her rightful place on the world's arena,

ताकि वे अपनी जगह बना सके दुनिया में,
