And in this video, I'm going to show you a term that is perfect for a business situation.

ပြီးတော့ ဒီဗီဒီယိုမှာ၊ လုပ်ငန်းအခြေအနေအတွက် ပြီးပြည့်စုံတဲ့ အသုံးအနှုန်းတစ်ခုကို သင်ပြပါမယ်။

OK, now, maybe you already know the word compromise.

အိုကေ၊ အခု၊ အလျှော့အတင်းဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးကို သင်သိပြီးဖြစ်မယ်။

Well, there is a phrase you can use that means the same thing is compromise.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ တူညီသောအရာသည် အပေးအယူလုပ်ခြင်းကို ဆိုလိုသည်ဟု သင်သုံးနိုင်သော စကားစုတစ်ခုရှိသည်။

It's just easy to say kind of casual and it's great for sentences.

ပေါ့ပေါ့ပါးပါး ပြောရတာ လွယ်ပြီး ဝါကျတွေအတွက် အရမ်းကောင်းပါတယ်။

OK, now that phrase is meat in the middle.

အိုကေ၊ အခု ဒီစကားလုံးက အလယ်မှာ အသားပါပဲ။

All right.

ကောင်းပါပြီ။

Now, it's kind of exactly what you think.

အခုက မင်းထင်တဲ့အတိုင်းပဲ။

All right.

ကောင်းပါပြီ။

So now you can think about it like this.

ဒီတော့ အခုဒီအတိုင်းပဲ တွေးကြည့်လို့ရတယ်။

There's two men having a business negotiation.

နှစ်ယောက်သား စီးပွားရေး ညှိနှိုင်းမှု လုပ်နေသည် ။

OK.

အိုကေတယ်နော်။

And now maybe the first man wants the price to be $20.

အခုလည်း ပထမလူက စျေးနှုန်းကို $20 လိုချင်နေတာ ဖြစ်ကောင်းဖြစ်မယ်။

OK.

အိုကေတယ်နော်။

And the second man, he wants the price to be $10.

ဒုတိယလူကတော့ စျေးနှုန်းကို $10 ဖြစ်စေချင်တယ်။

OK.

Well, the first man doesn't want $10, and the second man doesn't want $20.

အိုကေတယ်နော်။

ပထမလူက $10 မလိုချင်ဘူး၊ ဒုတိယလူက $20 မလိုချင်ဘူး။

So they negotiate, and then they decide to meet in the middle.

ဒါနဲ့ ညှိနှိုင်းပြီးတော့ အလယ်မှာ တွေ့ဖို့ ဆုံးဖြတ်လိုက်တယ်။

That means the man who wants $20 comes down,

ဆိုလိုတာက $20 လိုချင်တဲ့သူက ဆင်းလာပြီး

and the man who wants $10 comes up and they choose $15.

$10 လိုချင်တဲ့သူက တက်လာပြီး $15 ကို ရွေးတယ်။

See that?

အဲဒါကိုတွေ့လား။

They both give up a little.

နှစ်ယောက်စလုံး နည်းနည်းတော့ စွန့်စားကြတယ်။

They meet in the middle.

အလယ်မှာဆုံကြတယ်။

It's a fair way to finish a negotiation,

စေ့စပ်ညှိနှိုင်းမှုကို ပြီးမြောက်ရန် တရားမျှတသော နည်းလမ်းဖြစ်သည်၊

because if you look at the sentence I've written up here,

အကြောင်းမှာ ဤနေရာတွင် ကျွန်ုပ်ရေးထားသော စာကြောင်းကို ကြည့်ပါ

it says, "Let's meet in the middle so we can both be happy."

က "အလယ်မှာ ဆုံကြရအောင်၊ ငါတို့နှစ်ယောက် ပျော်ရွှင်နိုင်ပါစေ" လို့ ဆိုထားပါတယ်။

It's kind of like everybody wins if you meet in the middle.

အလယ်မှာဆုံရင် လူတိုင်းအနိုင်ရသလိုပါပဲ။

This is good for business when you're talking about contract or prices of things.

စာချုပ် (သို့) စျေးနှုန်းများအကြောင်း ပြောသောအခါတွင် ၎င်းသည် လုပ်ငန်းအတွက် ကောင်းမွန်သည်။

You can actually also use this if you're shopping at a market

စျေးတစ်ခုတွင် ဈေးဝယ်နေပြီး တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ရောင်းချနေသူသည် စျေးအလွန်မြင့်သည်ဟု သင်ထင်ပါက

and maybe you think the person selling something is asking for a price too high.

၎င်းကို သင် အမှန်တကယ် အသုံးပြုနိုင်သည် ။

Maybe you offer a lower price.

သက်သာသောစျေးနှုန်းကို ပေးဆောင်နိုင်ပါသည်။

And after some talking, maybe you meet in the middle or compromise.

စကားပြောပြီးရင် အလယ်မှာတွေ့တာ ဒါမှမဟုတ် အပေးအယူလုပ်လို့ရပါတယ်။

Same meaning.

အဓိပ္ပါယ်တူတယ်။

OK, if you meet in the middle, Both sides win.

Let's look at some written examples of this being used.

Here are some sentences of how you can use.

ဤသည်မှာ သင်အသုံးပြုနည်း၏ စာကြောင်းအချို့ဖြစ်သည်။

Meet in the middle.

We are both far from what we want, but if we meet in the middle we can both be happy.

So there you see some easy and practical examples of using the phrase meet in the middle.

So if you practice it and you use it, I promise you that English speakers know the meaning

and will think it fits perfectly into your conversation.
