with the 80,000 live audience in the stadium.

ಸುಮಾರು ೮೦೦೦೦ ಜನ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ಆ ಸ್ಟೇಡಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ

Guess who was the performing guest?

So it's not like "hello" or "thank you,"

ಹಲೋ .. ಥಾಂಕ್ಯೂ ಅನ್ನೋ ಹಾಗೆ

that ordinary stuff.

ತುಂಬಾ ಸರಳವಾಗ ಪದಗಳೇನು ಅಲ್ಲ ಅವು.

It means "green onion for free."

ಆಕೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು "ಸಣ್ಣ ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ಉಚಿತ" ಅಂತ.

Why did she say that?

ಯಾಕೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರಬಹುದು ..?

Because it was a line

ಯಾಕೆ ಅಂದರೆ .. ಅ ಮಾತನ್ನ

from our Chinese parallel Susan Boyle --

And the last sentence of Nessun Dorma

ಸುಸಾನ್ ಆ ದಿನ ಸ್ಟೇಡಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ

that she was singing in the stadium

ತನ್ನ ಹಾಡಿನ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೇ ಸಾಲುಗಳನ್ನ ಹಾಡಿದಳು .

was "green onion for free."

"ಸಣ್ಣ ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ಉಚಿತ"

So [as] Susan Boyle was saying that,

ಸುಸಾನ್ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ

80,000 live audience sang together.

with another thousand college girls.

The producer told us

ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಹೇಳಿದ ..

they were looking for some sweet, innocent

"ನಾವು, ನೋಡಲು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿರುವ

and beautiful fresh face.

ಹೊಸ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ" ಎಂದು

So when it was my turn, I stood up and said,

ನನ್ನ ಸರದಿಯು ಬಂದಾಗ, ಕೇಳಿಯೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟೆ

"Why [do] women's personalities on television

"ಯಾವಾಗಲು ಟಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರು

always have to be beautiful, sweet, innocent

ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ, ಮುದ್ದಾಗಿ ಹಾಗು

and, you know, supportive?

Why can't they have their own ideas

I thought I kind of offended them.

But actually, they were impressed by my words.

And so I was in the second round of competition,

Well after a few years,

to witness the transformation of the whole country.

I was in Beijing's bidding for the Olympic Games.

I was representing the Shanghai Expo.

I saw China embracing the world

and vice versa.

But then sometimes I'm thinking,

So today I want to talk about young people

through the platform of social media.

First of all, who are they? [What] do they look like?

at the Chamber of Commerce.

ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನ ಜನರಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಳು.

She didn't realize

ಆಕೆಗೆ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ

that she stepped on a sensitive nerve

but sometimes they're a little bit lost

in terms of what they want for their personal life.

China is soon to pass the U.S.

ಮೀರಿ ಐಶಾರಾಮಿ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಿಗೆ

for luxury brands --

ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

that's not including the Chinese expenditures

ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಯುರೋಪು ಹಾಗು ಇತರ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ

in Europe and elsewhere.

But you know what, half of those consumers

that she would rather cry in a BMW

ತಾನು ಸೈಕಲ್ ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ನಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ

than smile on a bicycle.

ಬಿ.ಎಂ. ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯು. ಕಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಅಳುವುದನ್ನೇ ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

But of course, we do have young people

ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ನಗುವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ

who would still prefer to smile,

ಯುವಜನರು ಸಹ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

whether in a BMW or [on] a bicycle.

ಕಾರ್ ಆಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸೈಕಲ್ ನಲ್ಲೆ ಆಗಲಿ.

So in the next picture, you see a very popular phenomenon

ಹಾಗೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ , ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಯೋಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ..

called "naked" wedding, or "naked" marriage.

It does not mean they will wear nothing in the wedding,

but it shows that these young couples are ready to get married

ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಜೋಡಿಯು ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಲಂಕಾರ ,

without a house, without a car, without a diamond ring

ಒಡವೆ ಹಾಗು ಸಡಗರವಿಲ್ಲದೇ

and without a wedding banquet,

ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

to show their commitment to true love.

ಕಾರಣ, ಅವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು.

And also, people are doing good through social media.

ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ತರಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ..?

ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟು

ಸಮಂಜಸವಾಗಿದೆ..?

to keep more people content

ಇಂತಹಾ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ,

with all sorts of friction going on at the same time?

ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ

I guess these are the questions people are going to answer.

ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ.

And our younger generation

ಅದು ನಮ್ಮ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ..

are going to transform this country

ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ.

while at the same time being transformed themselves.
