Now, we had no money, no space, no game plan,

the only time of year that we prostrate fully to the ground

It's a sign of total submission.

In a world that conspires to make us believe that we are invisible

and that we are impotent,

هر چقدر نعمت و امتیاز به ما داده شده،

religious communities and religious ritual

هر چقدر منابع داریم،

can remind us that for whatever amount of time we have here on this Earth,

whatever gifts and blessings we were given,

whatever resources we have,

The fourth and final is interconnectedness.

A few years ago, there was a man walking on the beach in Alaska,

that had some Japanese letters written on it.

How small our world has become.

It's so hard for us to remember how interconnected we all are

And yet, we know

Well, not so, because this is also my problem.

And guess what? Transphobia and Islamophobia

and racism of all forms, those are also all of our problems.

And so too is anti-Semitism all of our problems.

Because Emma Lazarus was right.

Emma Lazarus was right when she said until all of us are free,

we are none of us free.

We are all in this together.

And now somewhere at the intersection of these four trends,

در این کشور جنبش عدالت بین ادیانی در حال شکوفایی است

of wakefulness and hope and mightiness and interconnectedness,

که مدعی است روند باید معکوس شده

و دین هم می‌تواند و هم باید نیرویی در جهت بهبود جهان باشد.

there is a burgeoning, multifaith justice movement in this country

قلوب از مذهب افراط‌گرایانه معیوب شکسته است

that is staking a claim on a countertrend,

saying that religion can and must be a force for good in the world.

و ما شایسته دینی بهتر از دین روزمرگی-زده و شکست‌خورده هستیم.

الآن وقت آن است که رهبران مذهبی و اجتماعات مذهبی

Our hearts hurt from the failed religion of extremism,

تغییر در فضای فرهنگی و روحانی را رهبری کنند

and we deserve more than the failed religion of routine-ism.

که این کشور و کل جهان به شدت نیازمند این تغییر است --

It is time for religious leaders and religious communities

تغییر به سوی عشق،

to take the lead in the spiritual and cultural shift

به سوی عدالت، به سوی برابری و به سوی احترام به همگان.

that this country and the world so desperately needs --

چیزی کمتر از این مناسب فرزندان ما نیست.

a shift toward love,

toward justice, toward equality and toward dignity for all.
