"Jabberwocky": One of literature's best bits of nonsense

Today we have a frabjous treat for you.

ئه‌مڕۆ چاره‌سه‌ریكی باشمان پیه‌ بۆت.

This poem is full of seemingly nonsensical words

ئه‌م هۆنراوه‌ پڕه‌ له‌ وشه‌ی بێ مانا

that somehow manage to make sense.

به‌شیوه‌یه‌ك ده‌توانی تێ بگه‌یت.

به‌بی ئه‌وه‌ی زیاتر ئاماده‌ بكه‌ن:

"Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll.

"جابروۆکی" لەلایەن لویس کارۆڵ.

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:

تاوی بریلیگ و تاڤەکانی سلیت ئایا گیێ و لە ناو وابدا دەنگی هەڵدا:

All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

هەموو میمییەکان بۆرۆگۆڤەکان بوون، وە دایکەکە زۆر بە باشی.

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!

ئاگاداربە جابرووۆک، کوڕی خۆم! ئەو جەویی کە گاز دەگرێت ، ئەو قوولەی کە دەیگرسێ !

Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!”

جا تۆ ئەی خوابە، بەڕاستی تۆ له لای پەروەردگارت بەتەوبه باندیراچێکی زۆر سەختە"

He took his vorpal sword in hand; Long time the manxome foe he sought—

شمشێرە خوێنبەرەکەی بە دەستەوە گرت، ئەو دوژمنە مانشومیەی کە بۆی دەپشکنی،

So rested he by the Tumtum tree And stood awhile in thought.

ئینجا بەدار خورمای زەرد ی دایگرتن کەمێکیش بیری لێ کردەوە.

And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,

وە وەک لە ناو ماسی دەریادا وای دەزانی کە ڕاوەستاوە جابرووۆکی چاو گڕ,

Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came!

هات بە ناو دار تاوی توولەکەدا وە کاتێک هات

One, two! One, two! And through and through

یەک دوو! یەک دوو! وە لە ڕێگەی و بەناو

The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!

چەقۆکەی بە لەش و پۆخڵ ڕۆیشت!

He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.

بە مردوویی بەجێی هێشت و سەری ئەو گەڕایەوە بۆ دواوە.

“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy!

ئایا تۆ جابرووۆکیت بە دەستەوە نەوی کردووە؟ وەرە سەر باوەشم کوڕە بێگیان !

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”

ئەی ڕۆژی ناخۆشی ! !(کالۆ) !(کالەی)! "

He chortled in his joy.

لە خۆشیدا دەچەوسێت.
