what we would do is we'd get on the piano

and you wouldn't even get off to eat,

فلن نقوم منه أبداً حتى من أجل الأكل ،

because you wouldn't want to give it up

لأن كلٍ منا لايريد أن يتنازل عنه

to your brother or sister, and they'd wait

لأخيه أو أخته ، وكان عليهم الإنتظار

and wait and wait, and it'd be midnight

والإنتظار مطوّلاً ، حتى منتصف الليل

and you'd be still sitting there on the piano,

وأنت لاتزال تجلسُ على البيانو ،

but it was their way to get us to practice.

تلك كانت طريقتهم لحملنا على التدرب.
