Meet Dermatophagoides farinae.

मिलिए देर्मतोफगोईड्स फरिने से

Crawling around on eight legs,

अपने आठ पैरो पर रेंगती हुई,

this creature has no eyes to appreciate the kaleidoscope of colors around her.

इस प्राणी को अपने आस-पास के बहुरूपी रंगो को सराहने के लिए आँखे नहीं हैं |

She relies on her extraordinary sense of smell

यह अपना भोजन खोजने तथा अंडे देने,

सुरक्षित जगह ढूंढने के लिए,

to lead her to food and safe places to lay eggs.

अपने सूंघने की असाधारण क्षमता पर निर्भर रहती है |

And she’s smaller than a pinhead.

यह सुई की नोक से भी छोटी होती है

Dermatophagoides farinae is a dust mite.

देर्मतोफगोईड्स फरिने , एक धूल की घुन होती है |

Less than a tenth the size of an ant,

जिसका आकर चींटी से दस गुना छोटा होता है,

a dust mite’s whole world is contained in the dusty film under a bed

एक धूल की घुन की दुनिया,

बिस्तर के नीचे धूल की परत मे

or in a forgotten corner.

या किसी कोने मे समायी होती है |

This realm is right under our noses, but from our perspective,

इस दुनिया के दायरे मे हमारी नाक के नीचे,

the tiny specks of brilliant color blend together into a nondescript grey.

पर हमारी नज़रो से दूर

यह रंगबिरंगे सूक्ष्म कण मिलकर एक धूसर रंग बनाते है |

What are these colorful microscopic particles?

यह रंगबिरंगे सूक्ष्म कण क्या होते है ?

What distinguishes the dust in your house from, say, sand on a beach

आपकी घर की धूल और किसी समुद्री किनारे की रेत मे

यह अंतर है की

is that it is a mixture of many different ingredients.

यह (घर की धूल) विभिन्न सामग्रियों का मिश्रण है |

It can contain grains of sand,

इसमें होते हैं बालू के कण ,

dead skin cells,

त्वचा की मृत कोशिकाएं

tiny hairs and threads,

बहुत छोटे बाल और तंतु

जानवरो की मृत कोशिकाएं, फर, बाल

animal dander,

pollen,

परागकण

manmade pollutants,

मानव निर्मित प्रदूषक कण

minerals from outer space,

बाह्य अंतरिक्ष से खनिज लवण

and, of course, dust mites.

और बेशक धूल की घुने˙

धूल की घुने खाती हैं जानवरो की मृत कोशिकाएं, फर, बाल

Dust mites eat animal dander,

human skin,

मानव त्वचा की मृत कोशिकाएं

and some fungi.

और कुछ प्रकार के कवक

We shed dead skin cells constantly,

हम अपनी त्वचा की मृत कोशिकाएं हरसमय गिराते रहते है ,

and wherever we live, they mix into the household dust.

और हम जहां भी रहते हैं , ये घरेलु धूल के साथ मिल जाते हैं

The same goes for our pets:

ऐसा ही कुछ हमारे पालतू जानवरो के साथ भी होता है

their dander and hairs enter the mix,

उनकी मृत कोशिकाएं,

फर, बाल भी इस मिश्रण मे मिल जाते हैं

as do tiny pieces of thread and cotton fibers from our clothes.

जैसे की हमारे कपड़ो से सुक्ष्म तंतु और रेशे

These components make every household’s dust

इन्ही घटकों से मिलकर

हर घर की धूल बनी होती है

a unique blend of bits from its particular inhabitants.

जो की हर घर में रहनेवालो के हिसाब से अलग अलग होती है

Household dust also contains substances that blow in from the wider world.

घरेलु धूल में घर के बाहर से आये पदार्थ भी होते है |

जो वहां की स्थानीय जियोलॉजी पर निर्भर करते हैं ,

Depending on the local geology,

finely ground quartz, coal, or volcanic ash

बारीक पिसा क्वार्ट्ज़ , कोयला या ज्वालामुखीय राख

might enter the air as atmospheric dust,

परागकणों तथा बीजाणुओ के साथ

along with pollen and fungal spores.

वायुमंडलीय धूल मे मिल सकते है |

Industrial activities also contribute cement powder,

इस धूल में औद्योगिक गतिविधियों का भी योगदान होता है

particles from car tires,

सीमेंट पाउडर, कार टायर के कण

and other chemicals to the airborne mix.

और भी दूसरे रसायन होते हैं इस हवाई मिश्रण मे

The combination of these elements can be as unique as a fingerprint.

अलग अलग जगह इन घटकों का मिश्रण किसी की उंगलियों की छाप की तरह ही

अद्वितीय हो सकता है,

In Spain, where the land is rich in carbonate materials,

स्पेन मे , जहा कार्बोनेट के पदार्थो की अधिकता है ,

dust contains 20 times as much calcium as dust in Nigeria,

धूल में कैल्शियम , नाइजीरिया जैसे जगहों की तुलना में

२० गुना ज्यादा है,

where the geology is quite different.

जहां का भूविज्ञान काफी अलग है |

After a particularly violent storm,

हज़ारो मील दूर लंदन मे

वहा की धूल मे सहारा रेगिस्तान के कण पाये

In the future,

भविष्य मे

we may be able to pinpoint the origins of dust samples even more specifically,

शायद हम इन धूल के नमूनों के मूल स्थान का अधिक सटीकता से पता लगा सके,

down to a particular neighborhood or even house -

किसी ख़ास इलाके, मोहल्ले

यहाँ तक की किसी विशेष घर की हद तक -

something that may be of great help for forensic specialists.

In addition to markers of humans, animals, and landscapes,

विभिन्न जन्तुओ तथा परिदृश्यों के चिन्हों अलावा भी

dust also contains particles from further afield.

धूल में सुदूर जगहों के कण भी पाए जाते हैं |

When a star explodes in a distant galaxy,

जब किसी सुदूर आकाशगंगा मे

किसी सितारे का विस्फोट होता है,

super hot gases vaporize everything nearby.

अत्यंत गर्म गैसे आसपास की सभी चीजों को वाष्पीकृत कर देती हैं

Then, the dust settles; minerals condense out of the gas.

फिर धूल व्यवस्थित होती है, और खनिज संघनित होते हैं

Floating out there between planets and galaxies,

ग्रहो और आकाशगंगाओ के बीच तैरते,

this extraterrestrial dust contains tiny pieces of extinguished stars

इस परलौकिक धूल में होते हैं उन सितारों के सुक्ष्म कण

and the building blocks of future celestial bodies.

Every year, tens of thousands of tons of cosmic dust

lands on Earth and mingles with terrestrial minerals.

This blend of chemicals, minerals, and intergalactic particles

settles out of the air onto surfaces in our homes,

mixing with the detritus of each house’s occupants.

Stars explode,

सितारों मे विस्फोट होते है

mountains erode,

पहाड़ नष्ट हो जाते है,

and buildings, plants, and animals

इमारते, जीव-जंतु, और पेड़-पौधे

are all slowly but surely pulverized into fine grey powder.

सभी ख़ाक मे मिल जाते है |

सभी की यही नियति है,

We’re all destined to become dust,

but it’s also possible that we came from it.

पर यह भी संभव है की

हम सब इसी से यहाँ पर आये हैं |

Interstellar dust has been found to carry organic compounds through space.

अंतरिक्ष मे विचरती खगोलीय धूल मे जैविक तत्त्व पाए गए है |

It’s possible that billions of years ago,

यह संभव है की अरबो सालों पहले

some of these cosmic particles were the seed of life

हमारे इस छोटे से नीले ग्रह पर

on our little blue planet.

इसी मे से कुछ धूल जीवन का बीज थी |
