Some years ago, I was visiting Paris

It is made from very common substances:

You can see soap bubbles constantly changing their colors.

This is due to the interaction with light at various directions

One of the common substances, water molecules,

On most surfaces, water droplets tend to curve inwards,

The water molecule on the surface is constantly being pulled inwards

Now by adding soap,

Now, let us look at bubbles in another perspective.

The bubbles that are trapped inside those inks

အဲဒီမှင်တွေ အကြားမှာ ပိတ်မိနေကြတဲ့ ပူဖောင်းတွေဟာဖြင့်

vary between a few millimeters,

အရွယ်အစားအ မီလီမီတာ အနည်းငယ်မှ စလျက်

a few microns

မိုက်ခရွန် အနည်းငယ်ထိ၊

or even a few nanometers in size.

And what we are concerned about

is the oxygen and the moisture that is trapped inside.

At this size scale, removing them is not easy.

that we can use to produce display for your smartphone, for example.

It's supposed to last for many years,

but if the ink that we use has been absorbed with oxygen and moisture

သုံးလိုက်တဲ့ မှင်ထဲမှာ အောက်စီဂျင်နဲ့ အစိုဓာတ်တွေ ရောပါနေခဲ့ပါက

[which] are not being removed,

အဲဒါတွေကို ဖယ်ရှား မပစ်ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပါက၊

then we can quickly see dark spots appear in the pixels.

မကြာခင်မှာကိုပဲ pixel တွေထဲမှာ အမည်းစက်တွေ ပေါ်လာမှာကို မြင်လာရမှာပါ။

Now, one challenge we face in removing the microbubbles

မိုက်ခရို ပူဖောင်းတွေကို ဖယ်ရှားရာတွင် ကျွန်မတို့ ရင်ဆိုင်ရတဲ့ ပြဿနာ တစ်ခုက

is that they are not very cooperative.

They like to sit there,

But how do we kick them out?

One technology we use

ကျွန်မတို့ သုံးတဲ့ နည်းပညာ တစ်ခုက

is to force the ink going through a thin, long and tiny tube

မှင်ကို ပါးပြီး ရှည်လျားလျက် သေးလှတဲ့ ပြွန်မှ ဖြတ်စေခြင်းပါပဲ၊

with a porous wall,

ပြွန်ရဲ့ နံရံဟာ စုပါယူနိုင်စွမ်း ရှိတယ်။

and we place the tubes inside the vacuum chamber,

အဲဒီလို ပြွန်တွေကို လေဟာ အခန်းထဲမှာ ထားရှိကြပါတယ်၊

so that the bubbles can be squeezed out from the ink

အဲဒီလိုနည်းဖြင့် ပူဖောင်းတွေကို မှင်ထဲကနေပြီး

and be removed.

ညှစ်ယူလိုက်ပြီး ထုတ်ပစ်လိုက်တာပါ။

Once we manage to remove the bubbles from the ink that we produce,

ကျွန်မတို့ ထုတ်လုပ်ကြတဲ့ မှင်ထဲကနေပြီး ပူဖောင်းတွေကို ထုတ်ပစ်တဲ့ နောက်မှာတော့

it is time for celebration.

These are the bubbles filled with carbon dioxide,

a gas that's been produced during the fermentation process of the wine.
