Now, the problem is the ocean's a moving target

So, to get around these challenges,

we combined satellite remote sensing

So by combining all of our data with our collaborators,

we had 20-year time series of toxins and phytoplankton cell counts.

And that allowed us to understand the patterns of these blooms
