بني ، نحن بحاجة إلى التحدث ، أخبرتني والدتك أنك صرخت في وجهها ، لماذا فعلت ذلك ،

I don't want to talk about that right  now I have to go out with my friends

لا أريد التحدث عن ذلك الآن ، يجب أن أخرج مع أصدقائي ،

hey wait a minute sit down please I  need to tell you an important story

انتظر دقيقة اجلس من فضلك أريد أن أخبرك قصة مهمة

I don't have time for that right  now maybe some other time that

okay don't sit down but I'm gonna  tell you this real life story anyway

like you I was once a teenager I liked to hang out  with my friends go to Paris play soccer they had a

beautiful girl and those things I remember it very  clearly I was 15 years old I was in high school

فتاة جميلة ، وتلك الأشياء التي أتذكرها بوضوح شديد ، كنت في الخامسة عشرة من عمري كنت في المدرسة الثانوية ،

I love trying new things I remember I was  interested in taking dance classes those typical  

أحب تجربة أشياء جديدة أتذكر أنني كنت مهتمًا بأخذ دروس في الرقص تلك

dances we usually see on TV I love that and there  was a musical group it was an artistic group

الرقصات النموذجية التي نراها عادة على التلفزيون أنا أحب ذلك وكان هناك فرقة موسيقية كانت فرقة فنية

anyway I joined that group I didn't have to  pay any money because it was totally free  

على أي حال انضممت إلى تلك المجموعة ولم يكن علي أن أدفع أي أموال لأنها كانت مجانية تمامًا

so I didn't need to ask my mother for money  

لذلك لم أكن بحاجة إلى مطالبة والدتي بالمال

oh I told you last time that I only lived  with my mother because my parents got divorced

، لقد أخبرتك مؤخرًا الوقت الذي عشت فيه مع والدتي فقط لأن والديّ انفصلا لأنني

as I was telling you we didn't have to pay  anything to be part of that amazing artistic group  

كنت أقول لك أنه لم يكن علينا دفع أي شيء لكي نكون جزءًا من تلك المجموعة الفنية الرائعة ،

so I just asked them to join  them and they told me of course  

لذلك طلبت منهم فقط الانضمام إليهم وأخبروني بالطبع

I was so happy I mean I loved that dancing

أنني سعيد للغاية أعني أنني أحببت أن الرقص الذي

I used to go to dance rehearsals  to or sometimes three times a week  

اعتدت أن أذهب إليه لتدريبات الرقص أو أحيانًا ثلاث مرات في الأسبوع

it was near my home so I didn't have to  take the bus taxi or train to get there  

كان بالقرب من منزلي ، لذلك لم أضطر إلى ركوب حافلة الأجرة أو القطار للوصول إلى هناك ،

the only problem was that  rehearsals started a little late

كانت المشكلة الوحيدة هي أن البروفات بدأت في وقت متأخر قليلاً

I had to be there at eight in the evening  and it ended at 11 PM and when we had a  

، كان علي أن أكون هناك في الثامنة مساءً وانتهى الأمر في الساعة 11 مساءً وعندما كان لدينا عرض

presentation we had to stay there a little more  so sometimes we finished rehearsals at midnight

so I stayed there until very late  sometimes of course my mom didn't like that

and I understand it now it was very late for  me to be outside and it could be too dangerous

you know we didn't live in a very safe City and  at that time I mean at midnight things could

become very dangerous but I didn't care I was a  teenager and I just wanted to do what I wanted

my mom used to get angry every time I arrived  home late and it's understandable I used to

arrive at 1 or 2 am and I was only 15 years old  she knew it was not correct but I didn't care

في الساعة 1 أو 2 صباحًا وكان عمري 15 عامًا فقط كانت تعرف أن ذلك غير صحيح ، لكنني لم أهتم ،

I had the idea that I could do  whatever I wanted with my own life  

كان لدي فكرة أنه يمكنني فعل ما أريده بحياتي الخاصة ،

I didn't like people telling me  what to do all the time I hated that  

لم أحب أن يخبرني الناس بما يجب أن أفعله طوال الوقت كنت أكره ذلك ،

so when my mom could yell at me for  being late I would get mad at her

لذلك عندما كنت أمي يمكن أن أصرخ في وجهي لتأخري سأغضب منها التي

we used to fight because of that the worst  thing was that as I made a lot of friends

at that artistic group they used to  invite me to go to different parties  

في تلك المجموعة الفنية كانوا يدعونني للذهاب إلى حفلات مختلفة

you know they celebrated their birthdays

تعلمون أنهم احتفلوا بها أعياد ميلادهم

or sometimes we just decided  to stay there talking for hours  

أو في بعض الأحيان قررنا البقاء هناك للتحدث لساعات ، لقد أحببت حقًا القيام

I really loved to do that but of course doing  those things made me arrive home even later  

بذلك ولكن بالطبع جعلني هذه الأشياء أصل إلى المنزل حتى في وقت لاحق

and the fight with my mom was  even stronger for that reason

وكان القتال مع أمي أقوى لهذا السبب

the days passed and we kept fighting more and  more due to my bad behavior I hated that my

mom was yelling at me all the time or telling  me what to do and what not to do I hated it

so things were getting worse and  worse the relationship with my

mother was increasingly toxic one day  I had finished my musical rehearsal

and they invited me to a party  it was my best friend's party

obviously I had to go to that party and I couldn't  tell my mom that I was going to the party because

we didn't have a smartphone back then so I just  accepted the invitation and went to that party

the party finished at three or four in the morning  I don't remember well but it was very late I went

home and my mother was waiting for me she  hadn't slept the whole night because of me

she was waiting for me to arrive home she was so  worried but so angry at the same time she yelled

at me she said why do you always do this kind  of things don't you worry about your mom or what

وجهي وقالت لماذا تفعل دائمًا هذا النوع من الأشياء ، لا تقلق بشأن والدتك أو ماذا

I was tired of that we had a terrible fight  that night it was too hard so after that  

لقد سئمت من أن لدينا معركة رهيبة في تلك الليلة ، كان الأمر صعبًا للغاية ، وبعد ذلك

we stopped talking it to each other for a few  days I was mad at her she was mad at me anyway

the days passed and soon my birthday could arrive  I was still mad at her so that morning I mean the

morning of my birthday she came to me and  asked me what do you want to eat today son

I would prepare whatever you want  because it's your birthday she said  

سأعد ما تريد لأنه عيد ميلادك ، قالت

Patrick I will never forget that moment I still  remember how I answered her and the words I used

باتريك لن أنسى تلك اللحظة أبدًا ما زلت أتذكر كيف أجبتها والكلمات التي استخدمتها

she seemed to be happy because of my birthday  I was still mad at her still she asked me  

بدت سعيدة بسبب عيد ميلادي ما زلت غاضبة منها وسألتني

what do you want to eat today son it's your  birthday and I will cook whatever you want  

ماذا تريد أن تأكل اليوم يا بني إنه عيد ميلادك وسأطبخ ما تريد

with a smile on her face

بابتسامة على وجهها

I looked at her angrily and told her you  know what I want I want you to leave me alone  

نظرت إليها بغضب وأخبرت هي أنت تعرف ما أريده أريدك أن تتركيني وشأني

don't tell me what to do and leave me alone  that's what I want for my birthday okay

لا تخبرني ماذا أفعل وتتركني وشأني هذا ما أريده في عيد ميلادي ، حسنًا ،

she just looked at me with some tears in her  eyes and said I didn't know I was bothering  

نظرت إلي فقط وبعض الدموع في عينيها وقالت إنني لا أفعل أعلم أنني كنت أزعجك

you so much forgive me I said yeah you bother  me so much so leave me alone that's what I want

كثيرًا سامحني ، فقلت نعم ، أنت تزعجني كثيرًا ، لذا دعني وشأني هذا ما أريده ،

then she told me okay don't worry I will never  bother you again I promise then I left home and  

ثم أخبرتني حسنًا ، لا تقلق ، لن أزعجك مرة أخرى ، أعدك ، ثم غادرت المنزل وذهبت

I went to the school because I had some classes  as I was leaving I saw her cry and I didn't care

إلى المدرسة لأن لدي بعض الفصول أثناء مغادرتي ، رأيتها تبكي ولم أكن أهتم ،

but all the way to school I was thinking about  what I had done I knew I had done something  

لكن طوال الطريق إلى المدرسة كنت أفكر في ما فعلته كنت أعرف أنني فعلت شيئًا

terrible I knew I had heart my mom all I saw  was my mother's face with tears in her eyes

فظيعًا كنت أعرف أنني كنت أشعر بقلب أمي جميعًا رأيت وجه والدتي والدموع في عينيها

I felt terrible I wanted to say sorry to her  I wanted to apologize so I finished my classes  

شعرت بالفزع وأردت أن أقول لها آسف وأردت الاعتذار لذلك أنهيت دروسي

and I decided to go home quickly to apologize to  my mom for what I had said to her that morning

وقررت العودة إلى المنزل بسرعة لأعتذر لأمي على ما قلته لها في الصباح

when I arrived home my mom was  not there anymore I didn't know  

عندما وصلت إلى المنزل ، لم تعد أمي موجودة ، لم أعد أعرف

where she had left but I felt terrible I  wanted to say I was sorry but I couldn't  

المكان الذي غادرته ، لكنني شعرت بالفزع وأردت أن أقول إنني آسف ، لكنني لم أستطع

she arrived very late that day  I never knew where she had gone

الوصول في وقت متأخر جدًا من ذلك اليوم ، ولم أكن أعرف مطلقًا إلى أين ذهبت

when she arrived I couldn't tell  her anything I feel terrible I felt  

ومتى . وصلت لم أستطع إخبارها بأي شيء أشعر به فظيعًا ، شعرت

ashamed to ask her for forgiveness or to  Simply look at her in the eyes directly  

بالخجل لأطلب منها المغفرة أو ببساطة أنظر إليها في عينيها مباشرة

so I didn't say anything  I always remember that day

لذلك لم أقل شيئًا أتذكره دائمًا في ذلك اليوم ،

I behaved terrible and made my mother cry  and until now I can't forgive myself for that  

لقد تصرفت بشكل فظيع وجعلت والدتي تبكي وحتى الآن لا أستطيع أن أسامح نفسي لأنها

she's not here anymore and I  could never ask her to forgive me  

لم تعد هنا بعد الآن ولا يمكنني أن أطلب منها أن تسامحني

yes Dad I get it now I won't  yell at my mom anymore I'm sorry
