"You've Got This" - Motivational Speech for English Language Learners

"Tienes esto": discurso motivacional para estudiantes del idioma inglés

Dear English language learner,

Estimado estudiante de inglés,

I know that you may be  feeling discouraged right now. 

sé que puede sentirse desanimado en este momento.

Maybe you've been trying to learn English for a  while, and it just doesn't seem to be clicking. 

Tal vez has estado tratando de aprender inglés por un tiempo y parece que no funciona.

Maybe you're struggling to understand native  speakers, or you're too shy to speak up in class.

Tal vez te cuesta entender a los hablantes nativos o eres demasiado tímido para hablar en clase.

But I want to tell you something: you can do this. 

Pero quiero decirte algo: puedes hacer esto.

You can become fluent in English. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

Puedes volverte fluido en inglés. No será fácil, pero valdrá la pena.

You see, learning a language is a  lot like training for a big fight. 

Verás, aprender un idioma es muy parecido a entrenar para una gran pelea.

You have to put in the work every day, even  when it feels like you're not making progress. 

Tienes que esforzarte todos los días, incluso cuando sientas que no estás progresando.

You have to push through the  pain and the frustration,  

Tienes que superar el dolor y la frustración,

and keep going even when you feel like giving up.

y seguir adelante incluso cuando tengas ganas de rendirte.

But if you do that, if you keep  fighting, you will see results. 

Pero si haces eso, si sigues luchando, verás resultados.

You will start to understand more and more, and  you will be able to express yourself more clearly.  

Empezarás a comprender cada vez más y podrás expresarte con mayor claridad.

You will be able to connect with  people from all over the world,  

Podrá conectarse con personas de todo el mundo

and you will be able to open up a whole  new world of opportunities for yourself.

y podrá abrir un mundo completamente nuevo de oportunidades para usted.

So if your English is bad right now, don't worry. Just keep going. 

Entonces, si tu inglés es malo en este momento, no te preocupes. Solo continúa.

Keep studying, keep practicing,  keep pushing yourself to do better. 

Sigue estudiando, sigue practicando, sigue esforzándote para hacerlo mejor.

And one day, you will wake up  and realise that you are fluent.

Remember, it's not about how good you  are today. It's about how good you
