Filled with all of their empty.

They wanted her to be more like them.

ئەویان زیاتر بە وێنەی خۆیان دەویست.

Not knowing her conception was immaculate.

بێ ئەوەی بزانن دووگیان بوونی ئەو بێ گوناهانە بوو.

That she was birthed in sandalwood-scented river water,

ئەو لە ئاوی ڕووبارێک بە بۆنی دارچین لە دایک بوو،

sweet sapphire honey-touched tongue,

زمانێکی هەنگوینی و شیرین وەکو مرواری،

she was too much of a mouthful for the greedy.

ئەو پارویەکی گەورەتر لە زار بوو بۆ چاوچنۆکەکان.

Just a small amount of her was more than they could stand.

تەنیا بەشێکی بچووک لە ئەو سەرتر لە تاقەتی ئەوان بوو.

Oh, they wanted her bland.

ئاه، ئەویان بێ دەنگ دەویست.

And barren.

و بێ ئاکام.

Unspirited, un-African, uncultured,

هەست بە خولانەوەی بکەن،

spanning several lifetimes.

Hear her speaking, sparking alarm.

گوێتان لە قسەکردنیەتی، بڵێسەیەکی وریاکەرەوە.

Heaven hears her knocking on the door,

safely transporting the ones who call for her assistance.

سەلامەتی ئەوانە دەگوازێتەوە کە داوای یارمەتی دانی دەکەن.

Wild women, they open portals to new worlds,

ئافرەتە کێویەکان، دەرگاکانی جیهانە نوێیەکان دەکەنەوە،

new speech, new dreams.

ئاخاوتنی نوێ، خەونی نوێ.
