I then got this email from YouTube

weirdly notifying me

그 이메일은 이런 내용을 상기시켜주었습니다.

that there was content in that

제가 올린 동영상의 일부 내용을

owned by the mysterious WMG

누구인지 모르겠지만, WMG라는 곳에서 소유하고 있다더군요.

that matched their content ID.

자신들의 저작물 ID 확인에서 일치 했답니다.

So I didn't think much about it.

저는 이 이메일을 진지하게 받아들이지 않았습니다.

And then on Twitter, somebody said to me,

그리고, 트위터에서, 누군가 제게 트윗을 날렸습니다.

"Your talk on YouTube was DMCA'd. Was that your purpose?"

"유튜브에 올린 대담이 저작권법 위반이라는데, 일부러 그러신건가요?"

imagining that I had this deep conspiracy

아마 제가 의도적으로

to reveal the obvious flaws in the DMCA.

디지털 저작권법의 명백한 오류를 폭로하려 했다는 생각을 하셨나봅니다.

I answered, "No." I didn't even think about it.

대답은 "아니오"였습니다. 저는 그런 생각을 한 적이 없어요.

But then I went to the site

하지만, 다시 사이트에 들어가서 보니

and all of the audio in my site had been silenced.

제가 올린 파일의 음성 파일이 전부 무음 처리 되었더군요.

My whole 45-minute video

had been silenced

because there were snippets in that video,

Now, interestingly,

they still sold ads for that music,

but you couldn't hear anything

So I did what the current regime

So here's the lessons of openness

We need to speak of those values.

It's a value of the limits in regulation.

Now, if we can learn those values

from at least some influences on the Right,

if we can take them and incorporate them,

maybe we could do a little trade.

We learn those values on the Left,
