But how do you speak like a Cockney you ask?

Well my son there are a few rules you have to follow

if you want to sound like a true Londoner.

First one is that "Schwa" sound my good friend Aly taught ya!

that's the "UH" sound.

الصوت الذي يبدو "أه"

With a Cockney accent, it is more pronounced.

في لهجة الكوكني هو واضح اكثر

Regular person might say "Doctor"

الشخص العادي يقول "Doctor"

But a Cockney says it "DoctAAAHH"

لكن بالكوكني يقول "DoctAAAHH"

Same as in Stronger" "Faster" "Harder"

كما في "stronger" "faster" "harder" ..الخ

"StrongAAHH!"

"StrongAAHH"

"FastAAHH!"

"FastAAHH!"

"HARDAHH!"

"HARDAHH!"

That brings us to our next point,

هذا يوصلنا الى النقطة التالية

Hs? Don't need em! Get rid of em!

حروف الH؟ لا نحتاجهم تخلص منهم

Any word that begins with an H sound,

كل كلمة تبدأ بالحرف H

Get rid of that H!

تخلص من ذلك الH

Don't need you, H! Never have! You're useless!

لا نحتاجك يا H انت بلا قيمة

Words like: "Who" "Have" "House"

كلمات مثل "who" "Have" House" ...الخ

we don't use the Hs! Get rid of them!

OOH! AV! OUSE!

You learned that "L"sounds can sometimes sound like a "W"

like "Hew"

This is the T sound which is replaced by the sound in the middle of 'Uh-Oh'

هذا الT المستبدل بالصوت "Uh-Oh" في وسطها

The "Uh---" sound

صوت ال"Uh---"

Words like:

should sound like:

The T stops in the throat

الT يتوقف في الحنجرة

So none of this:

Nah!

Should be:

Remember to use the Glottal T

the L that sounds like a W, and that big 'schwa' sound.

There are two types of 'TH' sounds in English

هناك نوعان من اصوات الTH بالانكليزية

The 'voiced' which sounds like a:

الملفوظة "ذ" ستبدو

They have a vibration in the throat

يكون لديهم اهتزاز بالحنجرة

For example in words like:

كمثال للكلمات:

Those 'TH' sounds will be replaced by a V sound

اصوات الth ستستبدل بأصوات الV

For example:

The other 'TH' sound is UNvoiced, and that sounds like:

and they should be replaced by Fs

We just don't say the TH sounds all the time

Also us cockneys, we prefer to say "me" instead of "my"

and we don't use Hs because who needs them.

Also a Cockney's quite partial to double negatives

and using the third person in reverse.

For example

and third persons, we usually use them in reverse

But we have our words for things
