Hi everybody and welcome to this video.

အားလုံးပဲမင်္ဂလာပါ ဒီဗီဒီယိုကိုကြိုဆိုပါတယ်။

In this video, we’re going to talk about subjective pronouns.

ဤဗီဒီယိုတွင်၊ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စားများအကြောင်း ဆွေးနွေးပါမည်။

So, let’s take a look at the board.

ဒီတော့ ဘုတ်ကို ကြည့်ရအောင်။

Here they are. The subjective pronouns.

ဒီမှာ သူတို့ ရှိတယ်။ အစီအရင် နာမ်စားများ။

Please take a careful look. They’re very important in English.

ကျေးဇူးပြု၍ သတိထားကြည့်ပါ။ သူတို့က အင်္ဂလိပ်လို အရမ်းအရေးကြီးတယ်။

Okay. So, the first subjective pronoun is ‘I’.

ဟုတ်ပြီ ဒီတော့ ပထမပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စားက 'ငါ'။

“I” means me. “I’m Esther”.

"ငါ" ဆိုသည်မှာ ကျွန်ုပ်ကို ဆိုလိုသည်။ "ကျွန်တော်က Esther"

He Now, “he” is only used for boys or men.

He ယခု "သူ" ကို ယောက်ျားလေးများ သို့မဟုတ် အမျိုးသားများအတွက်သာ အသုံးပြုသည်။

Okay. He

ဟုတ်ပြီ သူက

So another boy or man is “he”.

ဒါဆို တခြားကောင်လေး ဒါမှမဟုတ် ယောက်ျားက "သူ" တဲ့။

“She” is used for girls or women.

“She” ကို မိန်းကလေးများ သို့မဟုတ် အမျိုးသမီးများအတွက် သုံးသည်။

Okay. She

ဟုတ်ပြီ She

It “It” is used for a place like a school, an animal like a dog, or a thing like a chair.

It “It” ကို ကျောင်းလိုနေရာမျိုး၊ ခွေးလို တိရိစ္ဆာန် ဒါမှမဟုတ် ကုလားထိုင်လို အရာတွေအတွက် သုံးပါတယ်။

Okay. It

ဟုတ်ပြီ နောက်တစ်ခုက "မင်း" ပါ

The next one is “you”. “You” means you.

။ "သင်" ဆိုသည်မှာ သင်ဖြစ်သည်။

Okay. “you”.

ဟုတ်ပြီ "မင်း"

We “We” means other people and me.

ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ "ကျွန်ုပ်" ဆိုသည်မှာ အခြားသူများနှင့် ကျွန်ုပ်ကို ဆိုလိုသည်။

For example, “I sing”, “you sing”, then “we sing”.

ဥပမာအားဖြင့် "ငါသီချင်းဆိုသည်"၊ "မင်းသီချင်းဆိုသည်"၊ ထို့နောက် "ငါတို့ဆိုသည်"။

Okay. “we”.

ဟုတ်ပြီ "ငါတို့"။

And the last one is “they”.

နောက်ဆုံးတစ်ခုကတော့ "သူတို့" ပါ။

“They” means many people, places, animals or things.

“သူတို့” ဆိုသည်မှာ လူများ၊ နေရာများ၊ တိရိစ္ဆာန်များ သို့မဟုတ် အရာများစွာကို ဆိုလိုသည်။

Okay. So, more than one.

ဟုတ်ပြီ ဒီတော့ တစ်ခုထက်ပိုတယ်။

If there’s more than one, we use the subjective pronoun ‘they’.

တစ်ခုထက်ပိုပါက၊ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စား 'သူတို့' ကိုသုံးသည်။

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ နောက်အပိုင်းကို ဆက်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

Okay, so let’s practice together with subjective pronouns.

ကောင်းပြီ ဒါဆို subjective pronoun တွေနဲ့ တွဲလေ့ကျင့်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

The first sentence on the board says, “Jenny sings”.

ဘုတ်ပေါ်က ပထမဆုံးစာကြောင်းက "Jenny sing" လို့ဆိုတယ်။

Now Jenny is one girl.

အခု Jenny က မိန်းကလေးတစ်ယောက်ပါ။

So we can say, “She sings”.

ဒါကြောင့် “သူမ သီချင်းဆို” လို့ ပြောနိုင်ပါတယ်။

“Jack sings”. Jack is one boy.

"ဂျက်က သီချင်းဆိုတယ်" Jack က ကောင်လေးတစ်ယောက်ပါ။

So we have to say, “he sings”.

ဒါကြောင့် "သူသီချင်းဆိုတယ်" လို့ပြောရမယ်။

The last sentence says, “Jenny and Jack sing”.

နောက်ဆုံးစာကြောင်းက "Jenny နဲ့ Jack သီချင်းဆိုတယ်" တဲ့။

Now Jenny and Jack are two people.

အခု Jenny နဲ့ Jack က လူနှစ်ယောက်ပါ။

So we have to say, “they sing”.

ဒါကြောင့် "သူတို့သီချင်းဆိုတယ်" လို့ပြောရမယ်။

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ နောက်အပိုင်းကို ဆက်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

Okay, let’s do some more practice.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ နောက်ထပ် အလေ့အကျင့်တစ်ခု လုပ်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

The first sentence on the board says,

ဘုတ်ပေါ်က ပထမဆုံးစာကြောင်းက

“The cat runs”.

"ကြောင်ပြေးတယ်" လို့ဆိုတယ်။

‘The cat’ is an animal, so we have to say, “It runs”.

'ကြောင်' က တိရစ္ဆာန်မို့လို့ "ပြေးတယ်" လို့ ပြောရမယ်။

The next sentence says, “The dog and cat run”.

နောက်စာကြောင်းကတော့ “ခွေးနဲ့ကြောင် ပြေးတယ်” တဲ့။

Now, ‘the dog and cat’, they are two animals.

အခု 'ခွေးနဲ့ ကြောင်' က တိရစ္ဆာန်နှစ်ကောင်။

So anytime you have two or more things, we say, “They run”.

ဒီတော့ မင်းမှာ နှစ်ခု ဒါမှမဟုတ် နှစ်ခုထက်ပိုတဲ့ အချိန်တိုင်း ငါတို့က “သူတို့ပြေးတယ်” လို့ပြောကြတယ်။

‘They’.

'သူတို့'။

Okay, now, for the last sentence, I’m going to talk about my cat, Ongee.

အိုကေ၊ အခု နောက်ဆုံးစာကြောင်းအတွက်၊ ငါက ငါ့ကြောင် Ongee အကြောင်းပြောမယ်။

Ongee is a cat. He’s an animal.

Onge က ကြောင်တစ်ကောင်ပါ။ သူသည် တိရစ္ဆာန်ဖြစ်သည်။

But he has a name. He’s a boy cat.

ဒါပေမယ့် သူ့မှာ နာမည်ရှိတယ်။ သူက ကြောင်ကောင်လေး။

Okay and I love him. And he’s like family.

ကောင်းပြီ ငါသူ့ကိုချစ်တယ်။ ပြီးတော့ သူက မိသားစုလိုပါပဲ။

So, “Ongee runs”. I can say “He runs”.

ဒီတော့ "Ongee ပြေး" ။ “သူပြေးတယ်” လို့ ပြောနိုင်ပါတယ်။

Okay. Let’s move on to the next part.

ဟုတ်ပြီ နောက်အပိုင်းကို ဆက်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

Okay, here are some more examples.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ဤသည်မှာ အချို့သော ဥပမာများဖြစ်သည်။

But, this time, you have to figure out the subjective pronoun together with me.

ဒါပေမယ့် ဒီတစ်ခါတော့ မင်းက ငါနဲ့ တွဲပြီးတော့ ပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စားကို တွက်ကြည့်ရမယ်။

Okay. So, “My students study”.

ဟုတ်ပြီ ဒီတော့ “ငါ့တပည့်တွေ စာကျက်” တဲ့။

What should we use?

ဘာကိုသုံးသင့်သလဲ။

Well, ‘My students’, there’s an ‘s’. Right.

'ငါ့တပည့်' 's' ရှိတယ်။ မှန်တယ်။

They’re people and there’s more than one.

သူတို့က လူတွေဖြစ်ပြီး တစ်ခုထက်ပိုပါတယ်။

Many people.

လူအများ။

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘they’.

ထို့ကြောင့် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စား 'သူတို့' ကိုသုံးရမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

“They study”.

“လေ့လာကြတယ်”။

The next example.

နောက်ဥပမာ။

“John is handsome”.

"ဂျွန်က ချောတယ်"

Okay, ‘John’, that’s a person.

အိုကေ၊ 'ဂျွန်'၊ ဒါလူပဲ။

There’s only one. Right…

တစ်ခုပဲရှိတယ်။ ဟုတ်တယ်…

And it’s a boy, ‘John’.

ကောင်လေးက 'John' ပါ။

So what should we use?

ဒါဆို ဘာကိုသုံးသင့်လဲ။

We have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘he’.

ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စား 'သူ' ကိုသုံးရမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

One boy. We say, “he”.

ကောင်လေးတစ်ယောက်။ ငါတို့က "သူ" လို့ပြောတာ။

“He is handsome”.

“သူက ရုပ်ချောတယ်”။

Okay, the last one. “Pizza is delicious”.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ နောက်ဆုံးတစ်ခု။ "ပီဇာက အရသာရှိတယ်"

‘Pizza’ is a thing.

'ပီဇာ' သည် အရာတစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။

And there’s only one. Right.

ပြီးတော့ တစ်ခုပဲရှိတယ်။ မှန်တယ်။

There’s no ‘s’. One pizza.

's' မရှိပါ။ ပီဇာတစ်လုံး။

We say, “it”.

ငါတို့က "အဲဒါ" လို့ပြောတာ။

“It is delicious”. Okay.

“စားလို့ကောင်းတယ်”။ ဟုတ်ပြီ

Let’s move on to some more examples.

နောက်ထပ် ဥပမာအချို့ကို ဆက်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

Okay, the first example says,

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ပထမဥပမာက

“Seoul is a city”.

"ဆိုးလ်သည် မြို့တစ်မြို့" ဟုဆိုသည်။

Now, ‘Seoul’ is a place. Okay.

အခုတော့ 'ဆိုးလ်' က နေရာတစ်ခုပါ။ ဟုတ်ပြီ

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘it’.

ဒါကြောင့် 'it' ဆိုတဲ့ subjective pronoun ကို သုံးရပါမယ်။

“It is a city”.

"ဒါက မြို့တစ်မြို့"

The next example says,

နောက်ဥပမာတစ်ခုကတော့

“My parents love Ongee”.

“ငါ့မိဘတွေက Onge ကိုချစ်တယ်” လို့ပြောထားတယ်။

Now, ‘Ongee’ is my cat. “My parents love Ongee”.

အခုတော့ 'Ongee' က ငါ့ကြောင်။ "ငါ့မိဘတွေက Onge ကိုချစ်တယ်"

Well, ‘my parents’, they are two people. My mom and my dad.

'ငါ့မိဘ' က လူနှစ်ယောက်။ ငါ့အမေနဲ့ ငါ့အဖေ။

So, what do I use?

ဒါဆို ငါဘာသုံးရမလဲ။

I have to say, “they”. “They love Ongee”.

“သူတို့” လို့ပြောရမယ်။ "သူတို့က Onge ကိုချစ်တယ်"

The last example is very similar to the second one.

နောက်ဆုံးဥပမာသည် ဒုတိယပုံနှင့် အလွန်ဆင်တူသည်။

“My parents and I love Ongee”. Okay.

"ငါ့မိဘတွေနဲ့ ငါ Ongee ကိုချစ်တယ်" ဟုတ်ပြီ

The difference is… it says, “and I”.

ကွာခြားချက်ကတော့… “ငါ” လို့ ပြောတယ်။

So this is ‘my parents’ with ‘me’.

ဒီတော့ ဒါက 'ငါ့မိဘ' နဲ့ 'ငါ'။

So I have to say, “we”. “We love Ongee”.

ဒါကြောင့် "ငါတို့" လို့ပြောရမယ်။ "ငါတို့ Onge ကိုချစ်တယ်"

Okay. All of us.

ဟုတ်ပြီ ငါတို့အားလုံး။

Okay, so, in this video we learned about subjective pronouns.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ဤဗီဒီယိုတွင် ပုဂ္ဂလဓိဋ္ဌာန်နာမ်စားများအကြောင်း လေ့လာခဲ့သည်။
