In this video, we’re going to talk about subjective pronouns.

このビデオでは、主観代名詞について話します。

So, let’s take a look at the board.

それでは、基板を見てみましょう。

Here they are. The subjective pronouns.

どうぞ。主観代名詞。

Please take a careful look. They’re very important in English.

注意深く見てください。それらは英語ではとても重要です。

Okay. So, the first subjective pronoun is ‘I’.

わかった。したがって、最初の主観代名詞は「私」です。

“I” means me. “I’m Esther”.

「私」とは私を意味します。 「私はエステルです」。

He Now, “he” is only used for boys or men.

He さて、「彼」は男の子または男性に対してのみ使用されます。

Okay. He

わかった。彼

So another boy or man is “he”.

つまり、別の少年または男性が「彼」です。

“She” is used for girls or women.

「She」は女の子や女性に対して使われます。

Okay. She

わかった。 She

It “It” is used for a place like a school, an animal like a dog, or a thing like a chair.

It 「It」は学校などの場所、犬などの動物、椅子などの物に使われます。

Okay. It

わかった。それ

The next one is “you”. “You” means you.

次は「あなた」です。 「あなた」とはあなたを意味します。

Okay. “you”.

わかった。 "あなた"。

We “We” means other people and me.

私たち 「私たち」とは、他の人々と私を意味します。

For example, “I sing”, “you sing”, then “we sing”.

たとえば、「私が歌います」、「あなたが歌います」、そして「私たちが歌います」。

Okay. “we”.

わかった。 "私たちは"。

And the last one is “they”.

そして最後は「彼ら」です。

“They” means many people, places, animals or things.

「彼ら」とは、多くの人、場所、動物、物などを意味します。

Okay. So, more than one.

わかった。ということで、複数。

If there’s more than one, we use the subjective pronoun ‘they’.

複数ある場合は、主観代名詞「彼ら」を使用します。

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

さて、次のパートに進みましょう。

Okay, so let’s practice together with subjective pronouns.

それでは、主語代名詞と一緒に練習してみましょう。

The first sentence on the board says, “Jenny sings”.

ボードの最初の文には「ジェニーが歌う」と書かれています。

Now Jenny is one girl.

これでジェニーは一人の女の子になりました。

So we can say, “She sings”.

したがって、「彼女は歌う」と言えます。

“Jack sings”. Jack is one boy.

「ジャックが歌う」。ジャックは男の子の一人です。

So we have to say, “he sings”.

したがって、「彼は歌っている」と言わなければなりません。

The last sentence says, “Jenny and Jack sing”.

最後の文には「ジェニーとジャックが歌う」とあります。

Now Jenny and Jack are two people.

これでジェニーとジャックは二人になりました。

So we have to say, “they sing”.

したがって、「彼らは歌う」と言わなければなりません。

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

さて、次のパートに進みましょう。

Okay, let’s do some more practice.

よし、もう少し練習してみよう。

The first sentence on the board says,

ボードの最初の文には

“The cat runs”.

「猫が走る」と書かれています。

‘The cat’ is an animal, so we have to say, “It runs”.

「猫」は動物なので、「走る」と言わなければなりません。

The next sentence says, “The dog and cat run”.

次の文には「犬と猫が走る」とあります。

Now, ‘the dog and cat’, they are two animals.

さて、「犬と猫」、これは二匹の動物です。

So anytime you have two or more things, we say, “They run”.

したがって、2 つ以上の物があるときはいつでも、「それらは実行される」と言います。

‘They’.

'彼らは'。

Okay, now, for the last sentence, I’m going to talk about my cat, Ongee.

さて、最後の文として、私の猫、オンジーについて話します。

Ongee is a cat. He’s an animal.

オンジーは猫です。彼は動物です。

But he has a name. He’s a boy cat.

しかし、彼には名前があります。男の子の猫です。

Okay and I love him. And he’s like family.

わかりました、そして私は彼を愛しています。そして彼は家族のようなものです。

So, “Ongee runs”. I can say “He runs”.

ということで、「オンジーが走る」。 「彼は走る」と言えます。

Okay. Let’s move on to the next part.

わかった。次の部分に進みましょう。

Okay, here are some more examples.

さて、ここでさらにいくつかの例を示します。

But, this time, you have to figure out the subjective pronoun together with me.

しかし、今回はあなたも私と一緒に主語代名詞を考えなければなりません。

Okay. So, “My students study”.

わかった。つまり、「私の生徒は勉強します」。

What should we use?

何を使えばいいのでしょうか？

Well, ‘My students’, there’s an ‘s’. Right.

そうですね、「私の生徒たち」には「s」が付いています。右。

They’re people and there’s more than one.

彼らは人間であり、複数存在します。

Many people.

多くの人々。

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘they’.

したがって、主観代名詞「彼ら」を使用する必要があります。

“They study”.

「彼らは勉強します」。

The next example.

次の例です。

“John is handsome”.

「ジョンはハンサムだ」。

Okay, ‘John’, that’s a person.

わかりました、「ジョン」、それは人間です。

There’s only one. Right…

ただ一つしかない。そう…

And it’s a boy, ‘John’.

それは男の子、「ジョン」です。

So what should we use?

では、何を使えばいいのでしょうか？

We have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘he’.

主観代名詞「彼」を使用する必要があります。

One boy. We say, “he”.

一人の男の子。私たちは「彼」と言います。

“He is handsome”.

"彼はハンサムです"。

Okay, the last one. “Pizza is delicious”.

さて、最後です。 「ピザはおいしいです。」

‘Pizza’ is a thing.

「ピザ」ってやつです。

And there’s only one. Right.

そして、一つだけあります。右。

There’s no ‘s’. One pizza.

「」はありません。ピザ1枚。

We say, “it”.

私たちは「それ」と言います。

“It is delicious”. Okay.

"おいしいです"。わかった。

Let’s move on to some more examples.

さらにいくつかの例に移りましょう。

Okay, the first example says,

最初の例は、

“Seoul is a city”.

「ソウルは都市である」と言っています。

Now, ‘Seoul’ is a place. Okay.

さて、「ソウル」という場所です。わかった。

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘it’.

したがって、主観代名詞「それ」を使用する必要があります。

“It is a city”.

「それは都市です」。

The next example says,

次の例は、

“My parents love Ongee”.

「私の両親はオンジーが大好きです」と言います。

Now, ‘Ongee’ is my cat. “My parents love Ongee”.

今、「オンジー」は私の猫です。 「両親はオンジーが大好きなんです」。

Well, ‘my parents’, they are two people. My mom and my dad.

さて、「私の両親」、彼らは2人です。お母さんとお父さん。

So, what do I use?

それで、何を使えばいいのでしょうか？

I have to say, “they”. “They love Ongee”.

「彼ら」と言わざるを得ません。 「彼らはオンジーが大好きです」。

The last example is very similar to the second one.

最後の例は 2 番目の例とよく似ています。

“My parents and I love Ongee”. Okay.

「両親も私もオンジーが大好きです。」わかった。

The difference is… it says, “and I”.

違いは…「そして私」と書かれていることです。

So this is ‘my parents’ with ‘me’.

つまり、これは「両親」と「私」です。

So I have to say, “we”. “We love Ongee”.

だから「私たち」と言わざるを得ません。 「私たちはオンジーが大好きです」。

Okay. All of us.

わかった。私たち全員。
