In this video, we’re going to talk about subjective pronouns.

इस वीडियो में हम सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम के बारे में बात करने जा रहे हैं।

So, let’s take a look at the board.

तो आइए एक नजर डालते हैं बोर्ड पर।

Here they are. The subjective pronouns.

वे यहाँ हैं। सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम।

Please take a careful look. They’re very important in English.

कृपया ध्यान से देखें। वे अंग्रेजी में बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं।

Okay. So, the first subjective pronoun is ‘I’.

ठीक। तो, पहला व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम 'मैं' है।

“I” means me. “I’m Esther”.

"मैं" का अर्थ है मैं। "मैं एस्तेर हूँ"।

He Now, “he” is only used for boys or men.

वह अब, "वह" केवल लड़कों या पुरुषों के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है।

So another boy or man is “he”.

“She” is used for girls or women.

"वह" लड़कियों या महिलाओं के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है।

It “It” is used for a place like a school, an animal like a dog, or a thing like a chair.

इट "इट" का प्रयोग स्कूल जैसी जगह, कुत्ते जैसे जानवर, या कुर्सी जैसी चीज के लिए किया जाता है।

Okay. It

ठीक। यह

The next one is “you”. “You” means you.

अगला "आप" है। "आप" का अर्थ है आप।

Okay. “you”.

ठीक। "तुम"।

We “We” means other people and me.

हम "हम" का अर्थ है अन्य लोग और मैं।

For example, “I sing”, “you sing”, then “we sing”.

उदाहरण के लिए, "मैं गाता हूं", "आप गाते हैं", फिर "हम गाते हैं"।

Okay. “we”.

ठीक। "हम"।

And the last one is “they”.

और आखिरी वाला "वे" है।

“They” means many people, places, animals or things.

"वे" का अर्थ है कई लोग, स्थान, जानवर या चीजें।

Okay. So, more than one.

ठीक। तो, एक से अधिक।

If there’s more than one, we use the subjective pronoun ‘they’.

यदि एक से अधिक हैं, तो हम सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम 'वे' का प्रयोग करते हैं।

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

ठीक है, चलिए अगले भाग पर चलते हैं।

Okay, so let’s practice together with subjective pronouns.

ठीक है, तो आइए सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम के साथ अभ्यास करें।

The first sentence on the board says, “Jenny sings”.

बोर्ड पर पहला वाक्य कहता है, "जेनी गाती है"।

Now Jenny is one girl.

अब जेनी एक लड़की है।

So we can say, “She sings”.

तो हम कह सकते हैं, "वह गाती है"।

“Jack sings”. Jack is one boy.

"जैक गाता है"। जैक एक लड़का है।

So we have to say, “he sings”.

तो हमें कहना होगा, "वह गाता है"।

The last sentence says, “Jenny and Jack sing”.

अंतिम वाक्य कहता है, "जेनी और जैक गाते हैं"।

Now Jenny and Jack are two people.

अब जेनी और जैक दो लोग हैं।

So we have to say, “they sing”.

तो हमें कहना होगा, "वे गाते हैं"।

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

ठीक है, चलिए अगले भाग पर चलते हैं।

Okay, let’s do some more practice.

ठीक है, चलो कुछ और अभ्यास करते हैं।

The first sentence on the board says,

बोर्ड पर पहला वाक्य कहता है,

“The cat runs”.

"बिल्ली दौड़ती है"।

‘The cat’ is an animal, so we have to say, “It runs”.

'बिल्ली' एक जानवर है, इसलिए हमें कहना होगा, "यह दौड़ता है"।

The next sentence says, “The dog and cat run”.

अगला वाक्य कहता है, "कुत्ता और बिल्ली दौड़ते हैं"।

Now, ‘the dog and cat’, they are two animals.

अब, 'कुत्ता और बिल्ली', वे दो जानवर हैं।

So anytime you have two or more things, we say, “They run”.

इसलिए जब भी आपके पास दो या दो से अधिक चीजें होती हैं, तो हम कहते हैं, "वे दौड़ते हैं"।

‘They’.

'वे'।

Okay, now, for the last sentence, I’m going to talk about my cat, Ongee.

ठीक है, अब, आखिरी वाक्य के लिए, मैं अपनी बिल्ली, ओन्गी के बारे में बात करने जा रहा हूँ।

Ongee is a cat. He’s an animal.

ओन्गी एक बिल्ली है। वह एक जानवर है।

But he has a name. He’s a boy cat.

Okay and I love him. And he’s like family.

ठीक है और मैं उससे प्यार करता हूँ। और वह परिवार की तरह है।

So, “Ongee runs”. I can say “He runs”.

तो, "ओंजी चलता है"। मैं कह सकता हूं "वह दौड़ता है"।

Okay. Let’s move on to the next part.

Okay, here are some more examples.

ठीक है, यहाँ कुछ और उदाहरण हैं।

But, this time, you have to figure out the subjective pronoun together with me.

लेकिन, इस बार, आपको मेरे साथ सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम का पता लगाना होगा।

Okay. So, “My students study”.

ठीक। तो, "मेरे छात्र पढ़ते हैं"।

What should we use?

हमें क्या उपयोग करना चाहिए?

Well, ‘My students’, there’s an ‘s’. Right.

खैर, 'मेरे छात्र', एक 'एस' है। सही।

They’re people and there’s more than one.

वे लोग हैं और एक से अधिक हैं।

Many people.

बुहत सारे लोग।

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘they’.

इसलिए हमें सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम, 'वे' का उपयोग करना होगा।

“They study”.

"वो अध्ययन करते हैं"।

The next example.

अगला उदाहरण।

“John is handsome”.

"जॉन सुंदर है"।

Okay, ‘John’, that’s a person.

ठीक है, 'जॉन', वह एक व्यक्ति है।

There’s only one. Right…

वहाँ सिर्फ एक है। ठीक है...

And it’s a boy, ‘John’.

और यह एक लड़का है, 'जॉन'।

So what should we use?

तो हमें क्या उपयोग करना चाहिए?

We have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘he’.

हमें व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम, 'वह' का उपयोग करना होगा।

One boy. We say, “he”.

एक लड़का। हम कहते हैं, "वह"।

“He is handsome”.

"वह सुंदर है"।

Okay, the last one. “Pizza is delicious”.

ठीक है, आखिरी वाला। "पिज्जा स्वादिष्ट है"।

‘Pizza’ is a thing.

'पिज्जा' एक चीज है।

And there’s only one. Right.

और केवल एक ही है। सही।

There’s no ‘s’. One pizza.

कोई 'एस' नहीं है। एक पिज्जा।

We say, “it”.

हम कहते हैं, "यह"।

“It is delicious”. Okay.

"यह स्वादिष्ट है"। ठीक।

Let’s move on to some more examples.

आइए कुछ और उदाहरणों पर चलते हैं।

Okay, the first example says,

ठीक है, पहला उदाहरण कहता है,

“Seoul is a city”.

"सियोल एक शहर है"।

Now, ‘Seoul’ is a place. Okay.

अब, 'सियोल' एक जगह है। ठीक।

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘it’.

इसलिए हमें सब्जेक्टिव सर्वनाम, 'इट' का उपयोग करना होगा।

“It is a city”.

"यह एक शहर है"।

The next example says,

अगला उदाहरण कहता है,

“My parents love Ongee”.

"मेरे माता-पिता ओन्जी से प्यार करते हैं"।

Now, ‘Ongee’ is my cat. “My parents love Ongee”.

अब, 'ओंजी' मेरी बिल्ली है। "मेरे माता-पिता ओन्जी से प्यार करते हैं"।

Well, ‘my parents’, they are two people. My mom and my dad.

खैर, 'मेरे माता-पिता', वे दो लोग हैं। मेरी माँ और मेरे पिताजी।

So, what do I use?

तो, मैं क्या उपयोग करूं?

I have to say, “they”. “They love Ongee”.

मुझे कहना है, "वे"। "वे ओंगी से प्यार करते हैं"।

The last example is very similar to the second one.

अंतिम उदाहरण दूसरे के समान ही है।

“My parents and I love Ongee”. Okay.

"मेरे माता-पिता और मैं ओन्जी से प्यार करते हैं"। ठीक।

The difference is… it says, “and I”.

अंतर यह है ... यह कहता है, "और मैं"।

So this is ‘my parents’ with ‘me’.

तो यह है 'मेरे माता-पिता' के साथ 'मैं'।

So I have to say, “we”. “We love Ongee”.

तो मुझे कहना होगा, "हम"। "हम ओंगी से प्यार करते हैं"।

Okay. All of us.
