In this video, we’re going to talk about subjective pronouns.

या व्हिडिओमध्ये, आपण व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनामांबद्दल बोलणार आहोत.

So, let’s take a look at the board.

तर, चला बोर्डवर एक नजर टाकूया.

Here they are. The subjective pronouns.

ते आले पहा. व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम.

Please take a careful look. They’re very important in English.

कृपया काळजीपूर्वक पहा. ते इंग्रजीमध्ये खूप महत्वाचे आहेत.

Okay. So, the first subjective pronoun is ‘I’.

ठीक आहे. तर, पहिले व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम 'मी' आहे.

“I” means me. “I’m Esther”.

"मी" म्हणजे मी. "मी एस्तेर आहे".

He Now, “he” is only used for boys or men.

He Now, “तो” फक्त मुलांसाठी किंवा पुरुषांसाठी वापरला जातो.

So another boy or man is “he”.

म्हणून दुसरा मुलगा किंवा पुरुष म्हणजे “तो”.

“She” is used for girls or women.

It “It” is used for a place like a school, an animal like a dog, or a thing like a chair.

It “It” चा वापर शाळेसारख्या जागेसाठी, कुत्र्यासारखा प्राणी किंवा खुर्चीसारख्या वस्तूसाठी केला जातो.

Okay. It

ठीक आहे. तो

The next one is “you”. “You” means you.

पुढील "तू" आहे. "तू" म्हणजे तू.

Okay. “you”.

ठीक आहे. "तुम्ही".

We “We” means other people and me.

आम्ही "आम्ही" म्हणजे इतर लोक आणि मी.

For example, “I sing”, “you sing”, then “we sing”.

उदाहरणार्थ, “मी गातो”, “तू गातो”, नंतर “आम्ही गातो”.

Okay. “we”.

ठीक आहे. "आम्ही".

And the last one is “they”.

आणि शेवटचा "ते" आहे.

“They” means many people, places, animals or things.

“ते” म्हणजे अनेक लोक, ठिकाणे, प्राणी किंवा वस्तू.

Okay. So, more than one.

ठीक आहे. तर, एकापेक्षा जास्त.

If there’s more than one, we use the subjective pronoun ‘they’.

एकापेक्षा जास्त असल्यास, आपण 'ते' हे व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम वापरतो.

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

Okay, so let’s practice together with subjective pronouns.

ठीक आहे, चला व्यक्तिनिष्ठ सर्वनामांसह सराव करूया.

The first sentence on the board says, “Jenny sings”.

फलकावरील पहिले वाक्य आहे, “जेनी गाते”.

Now Jenny is one girl.

आता जेनी एक मुलगी आहे.

So we can say, “She sings”.

म्हणून आपण म्हणू शकतो, “ती गाते”.

“Jack sings”. Jack is one boy.

"जॅक गातो". जॅक एक मुलगा आहे.

So we have to say, “he sings”.

म्हणून आपल्याला म्हणावे लागेल, “तो गातो”.

The last sentence says, “Jenny and Jack sing”.

शेवटचे वाक्य म्हणते, “जेनी आणि जॅक गातात”.

Now Jenny and Jack are two people.

आता जेनी आणि जॅक हे दोन लोक आहेत.

So we have to say, “they sing”.

म्हणून आपल्याला म्हणावे लागेल, “ते गातात”.

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

ठीक आहे, पुढच्या भागाकडे वळू.

Okay, let’s do some more practice.

ठीक आहे, अजून काही सराव करूया.

The first sentence on the board says,

फलकावर पहिले वाक्य आहे,

“The cat runs”.

“मांजर धावते”.

‘The cat’ is an animal, so we have to say, “It runs”.

'मांजर' हा प्राणी आहे, म्हणून आपण म्हणावे लागेल, "ते धावते".

The next sentence says, “The dog and cat run”.

पुढचे वाक्य म्हणते, "कुत्रा आणि मांजर पळतात".

Now, ‘the dog and cat’, they are two animals.

आता 'कुत्रा आणि मांजर' हे दोन प्राणी आहेत.

So anytime you have two or more things, we say, “They run”.

म्हणून जेव्हा तुमच्याकडे दोन किंवा अधिक गोष्टी असतील तेव्हा आम्ही म्हणतो, “ते धावतात”.

‘They’.

'ते'.

Okay, now, for the last sentence, I’m going to talk about my cat, Ongee.

ठीक आहे, आता शेवटच्या वाक्यासाठी, मी माझ्या मांजरीबद्दल बोलणार आहे, Ongee.

Ongee is a cat. He’s an animal.

ओंगी एक मांजर आहे. तो एक प्राणी आहे.

But he has a name. He’s a boy cat.

पण त्याला एक नाव आहे. तो एक मुलगा मांजर आहे.

Okay and I love him. And he’s like family.

ठीक आहे आणि मी त्याच्यावर प्रेम करतो. आणि तो कुटुंबासारखा आहे.

So, “Ongee runs”. I can say “He runs”.

तर, “ऑनजी धावते”. मी "तो धावतो" असे म्हणू शकतो.

Okay. Let’s move on to the next part.

Okay, here are some more examples.

ठीक आहे, येथे आणखी काही उदाहरणे आहेत.

But, this time, you have to figure out the subjective pronoun together with me.

परंतु, यावेळी, तुम्हाला माझ्यासह व्यक्तिनिष्ठ सर्वनाम शोधून काढावे लागेल.

Okay. So, “My students study”.

ठीक आहे. तर, “माझे विद्यार्थी अभ्यास करतात”.

What should we use?

आपण काय वापरावे?

Well, ‘My students’, there’s an ‘s’. Right.

बरं, 'माझे विद्यार्थी', तिथे 's' आहे. बरोबर.

They’re people and there’s more than one.

ते लोक आहेत आणि एकापेक्षा जास्त आहेत.

Many people.

खूप लोक.

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘they’.

म्हणून आपल्याला 'ते' हे व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम वापरावे लागेल.

“They study”.

"ते अभ्यास करतात".

The next example.

पुढील उदाहरण.

“John is handsome”.

"जॉन देखणा आहे".

Okay, ‘John’, that’s a person.

ठीक आहे, 'जॉन', ती एक व्यक्ती आहे.

There’s only one. Right…

फक्त एकच आहे. बरोबर...

And it’s a boy, ‘John’.

आणि तो मुलगा आहे, 'जॉन'.

So what should we use?

मग आपण काय वापरावे?

We have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘he’.

आपल्याला 'तो' हे व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम वापरावे लागेल.

One boy. We say, “he”.

एक मुलगा. आपण म्हणतो, “तो”.

“He is handsome”.

"तो देखणा आहे".

Okay, the last one. “Pizza is delicious”.

ठीक आहे, शेवटचा. "पिझ्झा स्वादिष्ट आहे".

‘Pizza’ is a thing.

'पिझ्झा' ही एक गोष्ट आहे.

And there’s only one. Right.

आणि फक्त एकच आहे. बरोबर.

There’s no ‘s’. One pizza.

'स' नाही. एक पिझ्झा.

We say, “it”.

आम्ही म्हणतो, "ते".

“It is delicious”. Okay.

"हे स्वादिष्ट आहे". ठीक आहे.

Let’s move on to some more examples.

आणखी काही उदाहरणांकडे वळू.

Okay, the first example says,

ठीक आहे, पहिले उदाहरण म्हणते,

“Seoul is a city”.

“सोल एक शहर आहे”.

Now, ‘Seoul’ is a place. Okay.

आता 'सोल' हे एक ठिकाण आहे. ठीक आहे.

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘it’.

म्हणून आपल्याला 'तो' हे व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम वापरावे लागेल.

“It is a city”.

"ते एक शहर आहे".

The next example says,

पुढचे उदाहरण म्हणते,

“My parents love Ongee”.

“माझ्या पालकांना ओंगी आवडते”.

Now, ‘Ongee’ is my cat. “My parents love Ongee”.

आता 'ओंगी' माझी मांजर आहे. "माझ्या पालकांना ओंगी आवडतात".

Well, ‘my parents’, they are two people. My mom and my dad.

बरं, 'माझे पालक', ते दोन लोक आहेत. माझी आई आणि माझे बाबा.

So, what do I use?

तर, मी काय वापरू?

I have to say, “they”. “They love Ongee”.

मला म्हणावे लागेल, "ते". "त्यांना ओंगे आवडतात".

The last example is very similar to the second one.

शेवटचे उदाहरण दुसऱ्या उदाहरणासारखेच आहे.

“My parents and I love Ongee”. Okay.

"माझे आई-वडील आणि मला ओंजी आवडतात". ठीक आहे.

The difference is… it says, “and I”.

फरक हा आहे की… ते म्हणतात, “आणि मी”.

So this is ‘my parents’ with ‘me’.

तर हे 'माझे आई-वडील' 'मी'.

So I have to say, “we”. “We love Ongee”.

म्हणून मला म्हणावे लागेल, “आम्ही”. "आम्हाला ओंगी आवडते".

Okay. All of us.

ठीक आहे. आपण सगळे.

Okay, so, in this video we learned about subjective pronouns.
