In this video, we’re going to talk about subjective pronouns.

So, let’s take a look at the board.

Here they are. The subjective pronouns.

Please take a careful look. They’re very important in English.

Okay. So, the first subjective pronoun is ‘I’.

“I” means me. “I’m Esther”.

He Now, “he” is only used for boys or men.

So another boy or man is “he”.

“She” is used for girls or women.

It “It” is used for a place like a school, an animal like a dog, or a thing like a chair.

The next one is “you”. “You” means you.

We “We” means other people and me.

For example, “I sing”, “you sing”, then “we sing”.

Okay. “we”.

And the last one is “they”.

“They” means many people, places, animals or things.

Okay. So, more than one.

If there’s more than one, we use the subjective pronoun ‘they’.

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

Okay, so let’s practice together with subjective pronouns.

The first sentence on the board says, “Jenny sings”.

బోర్డు మీద మొదటి వాక్యం, "జెన్నీ పాడింది" అని చెబుతుంది.

Now Jenny is one girl.

ఇప్పుడు జెన్నీ ఒక అమ్మాయి.

So we can say, “She sings”.

కాబట్టి మనం "ఆమె పాడింది" అని చెప్పవచ్చు.

“Jack sings”. Jack is one boy.

"జాక్ పాడాడు". జాక్ ఒక అబ్బాయి.

So we have to say, “he sings”.

కాబట్టి మనం "అతను పాడాడు" అని చెప్పాలి.

The last sentence says, “Jenny and Jack sing”.

చివరి వాక్యం, "జెన్నీ మరియు జాక్ పాడారు" అని చెబుతుంది.

Now Jenny and Jack are two people.

ఇప్పుడు జెన్నీ మరియు జాక్ ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు.

So we have to say, “they sing”.

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

The first sentence on the board says,

‘The cat’ is an animal, so we have to say, “It runs”.

The next sentence says, “The dog and cat run”.

తదుపరి వాక్యం, "కుక్క మరియు పిల్లి పరుగు" అని చెబుతుంది.

Now, ‘the dog and cat’, they are two animals.

ఇప్పుడు, 'కుక్క మరియు పిల్లి', అవి రెండు జంతువులు.

So anytime you have two or more things, we say, “They run”.

Okay, now, for the last sentence, I’m going to talk about my cat, Ongee.

Ongee is a cat. He’s an animal.

Okay and I love him. And he’s like family.

Okay, here are some more examples.

What should we use?

Well, ‘My students’, there’s an ‘s’. Right.

They’re people and there’s more than one.

వారు వ్యక్తులు మరియు ఒకటి కంటే ఎక్కువ మంది ఉన్నారు.

Many people.

చాలా మంది.

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘they’.

కాబట్టి మనం ఆత్మాశ్రయ సర్వనామం, 'వారు' ఉపయోగించాలి.

“They study”.

"వారు చదువుతారు".

The next example.

తదుపరి ఉదాహరణ.

“John is handsome”.

"జాన్ అందంగా ఉన్నాడు".

Okay, ‘John’, that’s a person.

సరే, 'జాన్', అది ఒక వ్యక్తి.

There’s only one. Right…

ఒక్కటే ఉంది. నిజమే…

And it’s a boy, ‘John’.

మరియు అది ఒక అబ్బాయి, 'జాన్'.

So what should we use?

We have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘he’.

One boy. We say, “he”.

“He is handsome”.

"ఆతను అందగాడు".

Okay, the last one. “Pizza is delicious”.

సరే, చివరిది. "పిజ్జా రుచికరమైనది".

‘Pizza’ is a thing.

'పిజ్జా' ఒక విషయం.

And there’s only one. Right.

మరియు ఒకటి మాత్రమే ఉంది. కుడి.

There’s no ‘s’. One pizza.

'లు' లేదు. ఒక పిజ్జా.

We say, “it”.

మేము "అది" అని అంటాము.

“It is delicious”. Okay.

"ఇది రుచికరమైనది". సరే.

Let’s move on to some more examples.

మరికొన్ని ఉదాహరణలకు వెళ్దాం.

Okay, the first example says,

సరే, మొదటి ఉదాహరణ,

“Seoul is a city”.

"సియోల్ ఒక నగరం" అని చెబుతుంది.

Now, ‘Seoul’ is a place. Okay.

ఇప్పుడు, 'సియోల్' ఒక ప్రదేశం. సరే.

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘it’.

కాబట్టి మనం 'అది' అనే ఆత్మాశ్రయ సర్వనామం ఉపయోగించాలి.

“It is a city”.

"ఇది ఒక నగరం".

The next example says,

తదుపరి ఉదాహరణ,

“My parents love Ongee”.

"నా తల్లిదండ్రులు ఒంగీని ప్రేమిస్తారు" అని చెబుతుంది.

Now, ‘Ongee’ is my cat. “My parents love Ongee”.

ఇప్పుడు, 'ఓంగీ' నా పిల్లి. "నా తల్లిదండ్రులు ఓంగీని ప్రేమిస్తారు".

Well, ‘my parents’, they are two people. My mom and my dad.

సరే, 'నా తల్లిదండ్రులు', వారు ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు. మా అమ్మ మరియు నాన్న.

So, what do I use?

కాబట్టి, నేను ఏమి ఉపయోగించాలి?

I have to say, “they”. “They love Ongee”.

నేను చెప్పాలి, "వారు". "వారు ఒంగీని ప్రేమిస్తారు".

The last example is very similar to the second one.

చివరి ఉదాహరణ రెండవదానికి చాలా పోలి ఉంటుంది.

“My parents and I love Ongee”. Okay.

The difference is… it says, “and I”.

So this is ‘my parents’ with ‘me’.

So I have to say, “we”. “We love Ongee”.
