So before we can start switching our sentences from active to passive,

it's very important for us to understand the different parts of a sentence.

Let's look at our board.

We have a sentence written,  ‘The boy opened the door.’

This is an example of an active sentence

Ito ay isang halimbawa ng aktibong pangungusap

which usually follows the pattern of subject verb object.

na karaniwang sumusunod sa pattern ng paksang pandiwa na bagay.

Our subject the ‘doer’ is ‘the boy’. 

Ang aming paksa na 'may gawa' ay 'ang batang lalaki'.

But what did the boy do? ‘The boy opened…’ 

Ngunit ano ang ginawa ng batang lalaki? 'Nagbukas ang batang lalaki...'

‘open’ is the example of an action.

'bukas' ang halimbawa ng isang aksyon.

What did the boy open?

Ano ang binuksan ng batang lalaki?

The boy opened the door.

Binuksan ng bata ang pinto.

‘the door’ is the receiver or the direct object.

'ang pinto' ay ang receiver o ang direktang bagay.

So again, before we can really switch our sentences from active to the passive, 

Kaya muli, bago natin mailipat ang ating mga pangungusap mula sa aktibo patungo sa passive,

it's very important for us to understand the different parts of a sentence. 

napakahalaga para sa atin na maunawaan ang iba't ibang bahagi ng isang pangungusap.

And the more that we understand different parts of a sentence, 

At kapag mas naiintindihan natin ang iba't ibang bahagi ng isang pangungusap,

the easier it will be to switching active sentences to passive sentences. 

mas magiging madali ang paglipat ng mga aktibong pangungusap sa mga passive na pangungusap.

So now let's switch our active sentence over to a passive one. 

Kaya ngayon, palitan natin ang ating aktibong pangungusap sa isang passive.

Here's our sentence from before: ‘The boy opened the door.’ 

Narito ang aming pangungusap mula noon: 'Binuksan ng bata ang pinto.'

Now, we have, ‘The door was opened by the boy.’

Ngayon, mayroon tayong, 'Ang pinto ay binuksan ng bata.'

Like I mentioned earlier, for active sentences,  they follow the subject verb object pattern. 

Tulad ng nabanggit ko kanina, para sa mga aktibong pangungusap, sinusunod nila ang pattern ng object ng pandiwa ng paksa.

Well it's a little bit different from the passive sentence. 

Well, medyo iba ito sa passive sentence.

Before we had the receiver at the end of the sentence, 

Noon ay mayroon tayong tatanggap sa dulo ng pangungusap,

now we have the receiver in the beginning of the sentence. 

ngayon ay mayroon tayong tatanggap sa simula ng pangungusap.

‘The door was opened…’

'Nabuksan ang pinto...'

Wow.

Wow.

Our verb is the same. Or the action is the same.

Ang aming pandiwa ay pareho. O ang aksyon ay pareho.

But we have a ‘to be’ verb added on.

Ngunit mayroon kaming isang 'to be' na idinagdag.

‘was opened’ is our ‘to be’ verb plus the past participle of ‘open’.

'ay binuksan' ay ang aming 'to be' pandiwa kasama ang nakaraang participle ng 'bukas'.

Now, it could also be these ‘to be’ verbs as well.

Ngayon, maaari rin itong mga 'to be' na mga pandiwa.

But, we're going to use ‘was’.

Ngunit, gagamitin natin ang 'was'.

And this will change depending on the tense that we're using in our sentence. 

At ito ay magbabago depende sa panahunan na ginagamit namin sa aming pangungusap.

We also have ‘the door being opened by the boy’.

Mayroon din kaming 'pintuan na binuksan ng bata'.

Now, the reason why we have it in brackets is because

sometimes we don't need to know who is the ‘doer’.

In this sense, the boy is the ‘doer’.

And this ‘by’ helps us understand that it is the boy who is opening the door.

At ang 'ni' na ito ay tumutulong sa atin na maunawaan na ang batang lalaki ang nagbubukas ng pinto.

Let's look at some more examples.

Okay, so now we have examples of active sentences  that we're going to change to passive sentences.  

Okay, kaya ngayon ay mayroon tayong mga halimbawa ng mga aktibong pangungusap na babaguhin natin sa mga passive na pangungusap.

Let's look at our first one.

Tingnan natin ang una natin.

‘The woman helped the man.’

'Tinulungan ng babae ang lalaki.'

We learned earlier that whenever we're changing active sentences to passive sentences, 

Nalaman namin kanina na sa tuwing binabago namin ang mga aktibong pangungusap sa mga passive na pangungusap,

we are going to need to switch our doer and our receiver. 

kakailanganin naming ilipat ang aming gumagawa at ang aming tagatanggap.

In this one, the doer, who is the woman, is going to switch places with the receiver, who is the man, 

Sa isang ito, ang gumagawa, na siyang babae, ay magpapalit ng puwesto sa tatanggap, kung sino ang lalaki,

because now the man is the focus of the sentence and will now come to the front - the man.

But what's our action?

Well in our sentence before, our action is ‘helped’.

We're going to now change this to the past participle which,

luckily for us the past participle, is ‘helped’.

Now, we're going to add our ‘to be’ verb which is ‘was’.

Ngayon, idaragdag natin ang ating 'to be' na pandiwa na 'was'.

So the man was helped.

Kaya tinulungan ang lalaki.

By whom?

kanino?

The woman.

Ang babae.

Which is now at the end of the sentence.

Na ngayon ay nasa dulo ng pangungusap.

‘The man was helped by the woman.’

'Yung lalaki ay tinulungan ng babae.'

Let's look at our next one.

Tingnan natin ang aming susunod.

‘The cat bit the girl.’

'Kinagat ng pusa ang babae.'

Just like we learned before, we're going to switch our doer and our receiver.

Tulad ng natutunan natin noon, papalitan natin ang ating gumagawa at ang ating tatanggap.

So now the girl is in the front of the sentence.

Kaya ngayon ay nasa unahan ng pangungusap ang dalaga.

‘The girl… bit…’ The past participle of bit? 

'Yung babae... bit...' Ang past participle ng bit?

This one's a little bit different.

Ang isang ito ay medyo naiiba.

‘bit’ is going to change to ‘bitten’

Ang 'bit' ay magiging 'bitten'

When we add our ‘to be’ verb ‘was’,

Kapag idinagdag natin ang ating 'to be' verb 'was',

‘The girl was bitten...'

'The girl was bitten...'

By what?

By what?

The cat.

Ang pusa.

‘The girl was bitten by the cat.’

'Nakagat ng pusa ang babae.'

‘The knife cut the bread.’

'Ang kutsilyo ay pinutol ang tinapay.'

‘The bread was cut by the knife.’

'Ang tinapay ay pinutol ng kutsilyo.'

I think we're getting this.

Sa tingin ko ay nakukuha natin ito.

‘The student answered the question.’

'Sinagot ng estudyante ang tanong.'

‘The question was answered by the student.’

'Ang tanong ay sinagot ng estudyante.'

In our last one,‘The teacher taught the class.’ 

Sa aming huling isa, 'Itinuro ng guro ang klase.'

‘The class was taught by the teacher.’

'Ang klase ay itinuro ng guro.'

Wow. I think we're getting better.

Wow. I think we are getting better.

Let's move on.

Mag-move on na tayo.

So earlier we changed some sentences from the active to the passive voice.

Kaya kanina ay binago namin ang ilang mga pangungusap mula sa aktibo patungo sa tinig na tinig.

Well now, let's practice recognizing sentences in the active and passive voice.

Ngayon, magsanay tayo sa pagkilala ng mga pangungusap sa aktibo at tinig na tinig.

Our first one, ‘The bat hit the ball.’

Ang una namin, 'Natamaan ng paniki ang bola.'

hmm,

hmm,

well, I can see that the doer of my action

well, nakikita ko na ang gumagawa ng aksyon ko

is the ‘bat’.

ay ang 'bat'.

What did the bat do?

Ano ang ginawa ng paniki?

The action is ‘hit’. ‘The bat hit…’ 

Ang aksyon ay 'hit'. 'Natamaan ng paniki...'

What's the receiver?

Ano ang receiver?

‘the ball’

'ang bola'

‘The bat hit the ball.’

'Natamaan ng paniki ang bola.'

Oh, this is definitely

Oh, ito ay tiyak na

a sentence written in the active voice. ‘The food was cooked by the man.’

isang pangungusap na nakasulat sa aktibong boses. 'Yung pagkain ang niluto ng lalaki.'

Now, there are some big clues in this sentence.

Ngayon, may ilang malalaking pahiwatig sa pangungusap na ito.

‘…by the man.’ 

'...ng lalaki.'

Oh, yeah. That's a clue.

Ay, oo. Iyon ay isang palatandaan.

Also, ‘was cooked’.

Gayundin, 'naluto'.

Well here's our past participle and our ‘to be’ verb. 

Well narito ang aming past participle at ang aming 'to be' verb.

This sentence, for sure, is a sentence written in the passive voice. 

Ang pangungusap na ito, tiyak, ay isang pangungusap na nakasulat sa tinig na tinig.

‘The floor was cleaned.’

'Nalinis ang sahig.'

Okay, so I see I have my ‘to be’ verb ‘was’.

Okay, kaya nakikita kong mayroon akong 'to be' verb 'was'.

And my past participle ‘cleaned’.

At 'naglinis' ang past participle ko.

But it seems like I’m missing something.

Pero parang may kulang sakin.

I have the receiver but not the doer.

Nasa akin ang receiver ngunit hindi ang gumagawa.

It's okay.

Like we mentioned before, for some sentences, you may not have the doer. 

ayos lang.

Tulad ng nabanggit namin dati, para sa ilang pangungusap, maaaring wala sa iyo ang gumagawa.

This is an example of a passive sentence without the doer. 

Ito ay isang halimbawa ng passive sentence na walang gumagawa.

‘The essay about the economy was written by the student.’ 

'Ang sanaysay tungkol sa ekonomiya ay isinulat ng mag-aaral.'

Now, it's okay. I know this is a big sentence. 

Ngayon, okay na. Alam kong malaking pangungusap ito.

But I know we can do it.

Pero alam kong kakayanin natin.

Because “boom” ‘by the student’.

Dahil "boom" 'ng estudyante'.

There's our clue.

Nandiyan ang aming clue.

Also ‘was written’.

'Nakasulat' din.

We have our past participle and our ‘to be’ verb.

Mayroon tayong past participle at ang ating 'to be' verb.

This is a sentence written in passive voice.

Ito ay isang pangungusap na nakasulat sa tinig na tinig.

And our last one. We're almost there. Stay with me. 

At ang huli namin. Malapit na tayo. Manatili sa akin.

‘The best team won the football game.’ 

'Ang pinakamahusay na koponan ay nanalo sa laro ng football.'

Good job team.

Good job team.

Our team is our doer.

Ang aming koponan ay ang aming gumagawa.

What did the team do? What's the action?

Ano ang ginawa ng pangkat? Ano ang aksyon?

The team won.

Nanalo ang team.

What did they win? They won the football game. 

Ano ang napanalunan nila? Nanalo sila sa football game.

This is definitely a sentence written in the active voice. 

Ito ay tiyak na isang pangungusap na nakasulat sa aktibong boses.

Ah, good job. 

Ah, magandang trabaho.

That's some good practicing - recognizing sentences  written in the active and passive voice.

Iyan ay ilang mahusay na pagsasanay - pagkilala sa mga pangungusap na nakasulat sa aktibo at tinig na tinig.

Now, let's move on.

Ngayon, magpatuloy tayo.

You now have a basic understanding of active and passive voice. 

Mayroon ka na ngayong pangunahing pag-unawa sa aktibo at passive na boses.

But you're not done yet.

Pero hindi ka pa tapos.

Because you have homework.

Dahil may takdang-aralin ka.

You are going to change this active voice sentence into a passive one.

Papalitan mo ang aktibong voice sentence na ito sa isang passive.

‘Mike taught the passive voice.’

Now, I know many of you know how to use the active voice

Ngayon, alam kong marami sa inyo ang marunong gumamit ng aktibong boses

but switching it to the passive voice can be somewhat confusing.

ngunit ang paglipat nito sa passive na boses ay maaaring medyo nakakalito.

And then now, we're going to use different tenses as well.

Past tense, present tense and future tense.

Past tense, present tense at future tense.

So let's review changing from active voice to passive voice.

Kaya suriin natin ang pagbabago mula sa aktibong boses patungo sa passive na boses.

So here, “The child is opening the door.”

Kaya narito, "Binubuksan ng bata ang pinto."

We learned, from before, that active voices, they follow the subject verb object pattern.

Natutunan namin, mula noon, na ang mga aktibong boses, sinusunod nila ang pattern ng object ng pandiwa ng paksa.

Here our subject, or the doer, is ‘the child’.

Narito ang ating paksa, o ang gumagawa, ay 'ang bata'.

But what is the child doing?

Ngunit ano ang ginagawa ng bata?

“The child is opening ...”

“Ang bata ay nagbubukas ...”

Here we have ‘ing’ attached to our  verb, ‘open’, which makes ‘opening’.

Dito mayroon tayong 'ing' na nakakabit sa ating pandiwa, 'bukas', na ginagawang 'pagbubukas'.

This is present continuous which means that the child is opening the door right now.

Ito ay kasalukuyang tuloy-tuloy na nangangahulugan na ang bata ay nagbubukas ng pinto sa ngayon.

At this moment.

Sa sandaling ito.

And of course the receiver is ‘the door’.

At siyempre ang receiver ay 'ang pinto'.

Now, when we're switching over to passive voice,

Ngayon, kapag lumilipat kami sa passive voice,

we learned from before, that our doer and our receiver swap places.

natutunan namin mula noon, na ang aming gumagawa at ang aming receiver ay nagpapalitan ng mga lugar.

So like in our sentence here, our doer and receiver are now in two different spots.

Kaya't tulad sa ating pangungusap dito, ang ating gumagawa at tumanggap ay nasa dalawang magkaibang lugar na ngayon.

So ‘the door’ is now in the beginning of the sentence.

Kaya't ang 'pinto' ay nasa simula na ng pangungusap.

And ‘the child’ is at the end.

At 'ang bata' ay nasa dulo.

“The door is being opened by the child.”

"Binabuksan ng bata ang pinto."

‘The door’, still our receiver, is being opened.

'Ang pinto', pa rin ang aming receiver, ay binubuksan.

hmm, so now our verb has changed a little bit.

hmm, kaya ngayon medyo nagbago ang ating pandiwa.

Our action has changed.

Nagbago ang kilos natin.

So we still have ‘is’.

So meron pa tayong 'is'.

And we have ‘being’, so we have our “to be” verb

At mayroon tayong 'pagiging', kaya mayroon tayong pandiwa na "maging"

but we must continue our present continuous and bring down the ‘ing’.

ngunit dapat nating ipagpatuloy ang ating kasalukuyang tuloy-tuloy at ibagsak ang 'ing'.

So, “… is being…” and we have our past participle ‘opened’.

Kaya, “… is being…” at mayroon tayong past participle na 'binuksan'.

“… is being opened by the child.”

“… binubuksan ng bata.”

And here we have our preposition with the doer.

At narito ang ating pang-ukol sa gumagawa.

And sometimes the doer is left out of sentences.

At kung minsan ang gumagawa ay naiwan sa mga pangungusap.

And that's okay as long as we know that the door is being opened.

At ayos lang yun basta alam natin na binubuksan ang pinto.

Now, let's practice and learn about some more tenses.

Ngayon, magsanay tayo at matuto tungkol sa ilan pang mga panahunan.

All right, everyone.

Sige lahat.

Let's practice going from active voice to passive voice using different tenses.

Magsanay tayo mula sa aktibong boses patungo sa passive voice gamit ang iba't ibang panahunan.

Let's do it.

Gawin natin.

Let's go ahead and practice some of these tenses together starting with the present simple.

Sige at sanayin natin ang ilan sa mga panahunan na ito nang magkasama simula sa kasalukuyang simple.

“The teacher helps the student.”

"Tinutulungan ng guro ang mag-aaral."

So we know that this is an active voice.

Kaya alam namin na ito ay isang aktibong boses.

And now we're going to change it into passive voice.

At ngayon ay papalitan natin ito ng passive voice.

“The student is helped by the teacher.”

"Ang mag-aaral ay tinutulungan ng guro."

And ‘is’ is our “to be” verb.

At ang 'ay' ay ang ating "maging" pandiwa.

And the past participle would be ‘helped’.

At ang past participle ay 'tinulungan'.

Let's look at present continuous.

Tingnan natin ang kasalukuyang tuloy-tuloy.

“The teacher is helping the student.”

"Tinutulungan ng guro ang mag-aaral."

Oh there's that ‘ing’ again.

Oh ayan na naman 'yan.

And we'll switch that over to, “The student is being …”

At ililipat namin iyon sa, "Ang mag-aaral ay ..."

ah and there's the present continuous back with us

ah at mayroong kasalukuyang tuluy-tuloy na pabalik sa amin

and our “to be” verb.

at ang aming "maging" pandiwa.

‘helped’ there is our past participle.

'nakatulong' doon ang ating past participle.

“… by the teacher.”

“…sa pamamagitan ng guro.”

Present perfect.

Present perfect.

“The teacher has helped the student.”

"Tinulungan ng guro ang estudyante."

“The student has been helped by the teacher.”

"Ang estudyante ay tinulungan ng guro."

Past simple.

Nakaraan na simple.

“The teacher helped the student.”

"Tinulungan ng guro ang estudyante."

“The student was helped by the teacher.”

"Ang estudyante ay tinulungan ng guro."

Past continuous.

Past tuloy.

“The teacher was helping the student.”

"Tinutulungan ng guro ang estudyante."

“The student was being helped by the teacher.”

"Ang estudyante ay tinutulungan ng guro."

Okay, so past perfect.

Okay, sobrang past perfect.

“The teacher had helped the student.”

"Tinulungan ng guro ang estudyante."

“The student had been helped by the teacher.”

"Ang estudyante ay tinulungan ng guro."

Future simple.

Simpleng hinaharap.

“The teacher will help the student.”

"Tutulungan ng guro ang mag-aaral."

“The student will be helped by the teacher.”

"Ang mag-aaral ay tutulungan ng guro."

Future continuous.

Patuloy na hinaharap.

“The teacher will be helping the student.”

"Tutulungan ng guro ang mag-aaral."

“The student will be being helped by the teacher.”

"Ang mag-aaral ay tutulungan ng guro."

And everyone just remember that this tense is normally not used with the passive voice.

At tandaan lamang ng lahat na ang panahunan na ito ay karaniwang hindi ginagamit sa passive voice.

Future perfect.

Perpekto sa hinaharap.

“The teacher will have helped the student.”

"Tulungan ng guro ang mag-aaral."

“The student will have been helped by the teacher.”

"Ang mag-aaral ay tinulungan ng guro."

In this sentence, which is an active voice,

Another reason that we change the sentence to the passive voice, is because we do not know

And again, since we don't really know who did it,

Another reason to use the passive voice could be the doer is just not that important.

For example, “The company was founded in 1955.”

See active sentences follow the Subject - Verb - Object pattern.

Here is our sentence written in the passive voice,

So in our active voice sentence, ‘New York’

is a receiver and written at the end of the sentence.

Well now, in our passive voice sentence,

Well ngayon, sa aming passive voice sentence,

‘New York’ is brought to the front because it is now our focus.

Also, for our action, we need a ‘to be’ verb and the past participle.

In the active voice sentence, we've had…

we have ‘founded’ which is written in the simple past tense.

Well, our ‘to be’ verb has to match with being simple past tense so we have ‘was’

Well, ang ating 'to be' verb ay kailangang tumugma sa pagiging simple past tense kaya mayroon tayong 'was'

and the past participle which is “founded in 1624.”

at ang past participle na "itinayo noong 1624."

I can swear something is missing though.

I can swear may kulang.

What am I missing from this?

Ah! “ … by the Dutch colonists.”

Ah! “… ng mga kolonistang Dutch.”

We don't mention the Dutch colonists here which is our ‘doer’.

As I mentioned in previous videos, sometimes when you write sentences in the passive voice,

This sentence is written, that's right you guessed it, in the passive voice.

Ang pangungusap na ito ay nakasulat, tama ang hula mo, sa tinig na tinig.

I need to figure out what word goes in the blank?

Kailangan kong malaman kung anong salita ang pumapasok sa blangko?

Well, the action is missing.

Well, ang aksyon ay nawawala.

If I look at the active voice sentence,

Kung titingnan ko ang active voice sentence,

I see that our action is ‘ate’ which is written in past tense.

nakikita kong 'ate' ang kilos namin na nakasulat sa past tense.

We remember from earlier, that our actions in passive voice sentences

Naaalala namin mula kanina, na ang aming mga aksyon sa mga passive voice sentence

need a ‘to be’ verb as well as a past participle.

So I know that since this action is written in past tense,

my ‘to be’ verb also has to be written in past tense.

Well, since we have to figure out what's in the blank for our active voice sentence,

let's look at the passive one to help us with that.

“The paper was cut by the scissors.”

Well, I have my ‘to be’ verb, as well as our past participle.

Well, mayroon akong 'to be' verb, pati na rin ang ating past participle.

Now we're going to… it's almost like we're going backwards here, right.

So, we know that our ‘to be’ verb, or the tense of our ‘to be’ verb,

Yeah, there's a mistake here.

Oo, may mali dito.

Well I see I have my ‘to be’ verb, ‘was’.

Well I see I have my 'to be' verb, 'was'.

But...

there's something about this past participle that just doesn't seem right.

Ngunit...

may isang bagay tungkol sa past participle na ito na tila hindi tama.

Well, what is the past participle of write?

Well, ano ang past participle ng write?

Let me see…

Let me see...

There's ‘write’, ‘wrote’, ‘written’.

May 'write', 'wrote', 'written'.

Oh how did I not… how do we not know that? “written”

“The book was written by Mike.”

And my action ‘licked’ is just written in past tense.

This is definitely written in the active voice.

“The rat was studied by the scientist.”

Whoa, we have a lot of clues here.

Well we can see the word ‘were’.

There is no ‘doer’.

So we also know that that's normal for passive voice sentences.

Let's see if we can find the mistakes written in these sentences.

Hmm, both are written in the passive voice.

Hmm, pareho ang nakasulat sa passive voice.

“Your package will be delivering.”

"Ihahatid na ang package mo."

Something doesn't seem right.

Parang may hindi tama.

“Your package will be delivering.”

"Ihahatid na ang package mo."

This part seems like it's great.

Mukhang ang ganda ng part na ito.

It's ‘delivering’.

Ito ay 'naghahatid'.

That one seems a little bit odd.

Ang isang iyon ay tila medyo kakaiba.

I can see that I know it's written in the passive voice.

Nakikita kong alam kong nakasulat iyon sa passive voice.

And I have a ‘to be’ verb.

At mayroon akong 'to be' verb.

And this is future tense.

At ito ay hinaharap na panahunan.

This past participle is wrong.

Mali ang past participle na ito.

So I think, no, I know the verb is ‘delivered’.

Kaya sa tingin ko, hindi, alam kong 'delivered' ang pandiwa.

All right, let's look at our next one.

Sige, tingnan natin ang susunod natin.

“I has been punished by the teacher.”

"Ako ay pinarusahan ng guro."

Oh, something doesn't feel right with this sentence at all.

Oh, parang may hindi tama sa pangungusap na ito.

So from here, from our action, on to our ‘doer’, we can see that this part is correct.

So from here, from our action, on to our 'doer', makikita natin na tama ang part na ito.

‘I has been’

'I has been'

I think we have the wrong ‘to be’ verb here.

Sa tingin ko mali ang 'to be' verb dito.

So instead of saying ‘has’, we're gonna write ‘I have’.

Kaya imbes na sabihin ang 'may', susulat tayo ng 'Meron ako'.

“I have been punished by the teacher.”

"Ako ay pinarusahan ng guro."

Good job, everyone.

For our final example,

Para sa aming huling halimbawa,

let's review using the passive voice for academic writing.

suriin natin gamit ang tinig na tinig para sa akademikong pagsulat.

Here, we have a sentence written in the active voice.

Dito, mayroon kaming isang pangungusap na nakasulat sa aktibong boses.

“In this study, I conducted a survey.”

"Sa pag-aaral na ito, nagsagawa ako ng isang survey."

Whenever you are doing academic writing,

Sa tuwing gumagawa ka ng akademikong pagsulat,

it's important to leave out words such as, “I” or “me”.

mahalagang iwanan ang mga salita tulad ng, "ako" o "ako".

So, you can switch from the active voice to the passive voice.

Kaya, maaari kang lumipat mula sa aktibong boses patungo sa passive na boses.

“A survey was conducted by me.”

"Isang survey ang ginawa ko."

Again, we want to avoid using words such as “I” or “me” because we are not the focus.

Muli, nais nating iwasan ang paggamit ng mga salita tulad ng "ako" o "ako" dahil hindi tayo ang pinagtutuunan ng pansin.

We want to focus more on the topic.

Nais naming higit na tumutok sa paksa.

And in this case, the survey.

At sa kasong ito, ang survey.

So we're going to cross out ‘by me’,

Kaya't ie-cross out natin ang 'sa akin',

add a period, and have,

magdagdag ng tuldok, at magkakaroon ng,

“A survey was conducted.”

"Isang survey ang isinagawa."

Now that sounds great.

Ngayon na tunog mahusay.

Let's move on.

Mag-move on na tayo.
