it happened many years ago

I had told you before that my parents  got divorced when I was only a child

I remember it cost one dollar soup main dish and  fruit it was not delicious but at least we could

eat something we had to go there every day on  time otherwise they could leave us without food

এমন কিছু খেতে পারতাম যা আমাদের প্রতিদিন সময়মতো যেতে হত অন্যথায় তারা আমাদের খাবার ছাড়াই ছেড়ে যেতে পারে যাইহোক

anyway we had many shortcomings but we were happy  I mean I had my brother by my side and I used to

visit my other siblings every week it was not the  same but at least we could play together sometimes

they had some rules that we had to abide by if  we wanted to live there the main rule was that

if you wanted to live there you wouldn't have to  have another house or your own house you get it

my mom didn't have her own house the other house  where we used to live was my father's and he

stayed there he was living there so I thought  now we are not going to have any problem right

people or help them with some sicknesses she used  to work in the market a little far from our house

we had to help her every day I remember we used  to wake up very early every day we woke up at

four in the morning because we had to go with her  to buy some products to sell four in the morning

so we used to take torrents I mean My Brother and  Me one day my brother and the next day I was in  

তাই আমরা টরেন্ট নিতাম মানে আমার ভাই এবং আমি একদিন আমার ভাই এবং পরের দিন আমি

church of going with my mom to buy those things  it was very tiring but we had to do it anyway

our routine was in the morning we had to  help my mom with the products she used

I got to my mom's little store  and she was crying I asked her

why are you crying what happened  tell me but she didn't answer

তুমি কাঁদছ কেন কি হয়েছে আমাকে বলো কিন্তু সে উত্তর দিল না

then she told me we have to go to the house  right now come with me let's go I didn't know  

তখন সে আমাকে বলল আমরা এখনই বাড়িতে যেতে হবে আমার সাথে চলো চলুন আমি জানতাম না

what was happening I just told her okay let's  go but calm down tell me what's going on here

কি হচ্ছে আমি শুধু তাকে বললাম ঠিক আছে চল যাই তবে শান্ত হও বলো এখানে কি হচ্ছে

she didn't answer she just told me to hurry so  we went running to our house my mom was crying  

সে কোন উত্তর দেয়নি সে শুধু আমাকে তাড়াতাড়ি করতে বলেছে তাই আমরা ছুটতে ছুটতে আমাদের বাড়িতে গিয়েছিলাম আমার মা

all the way home I just wanted to know what  was happening but she didn't tell me anything

সারা পথে কান্নাকাটি করছিল আমি শুধু জানতে চাইলাম কি হচ্ছে কিন্তু সে আমাকে কিছু বলল না

when we got to our home I got it I understood  what had happened my house our home was not  

যখন আমরা আমাদের বাসায় পৌছালাম তখন বুঝলাম কি হয়েছে আমার বাড়িতে আমাদের বাড়ি ছিল

there anymore it had disappeared there was only  a rubble where our house was supposed to be

না আর এটা অদৃশ্য হয়ে গেছে সেখানে কেবল একটি ধ্বংসস্তূপ ছিল যেখানে আমাদের বাড়ি হওয়ার কথা ছিল

I was shocked I just stood there without saying  a word it turns out that we had been evicted  

আমি হতবাক হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম আমি একটি শব্দ না বলে সেখানে দাঁড়িয়েছিলাম দেখা যাচ্ছে যে আমাদের উচ্ছেদ করা হয়েছে

they the leaders have just destroyed our  house and it was all my father's fault

তারা নেতারা আমাদের বাড়িটি ধ্বংস করেছে এবং এটি আমার বাবার দোষ ছিল

these leaders had gone to  visit my father to his house
