The next one,"ADIDAS" this one, oh my god, I've heard so many variations for the pronounciation.

Tjetri, ky, oh zot.

Kam dëgjuar shumë variante të

Shqiptimit të kësaj marke.

And this brand

I'll give you a clue, the founder of the brand which is called "Adolph Dassler"

Do t'ju jap një ndihmë

Ai që ka zbuluar markën quhej Adolf Dassler.

"Adolph Dassler"

Adolf Dassler dhe nickame i tij ishte Adi

And nick name was "A-DI"

So brand is an fusion of his nick name and his surname.

Kështu që marka është një një bashkim të nicknamit dhe mbiemrit

It's the Spanish brand and that "W" is actually pronounced "V"

So it is /LU-E-VI/ , /LU-'E-VI/, /LU-E-'VI/, /LU-E-VI/.

The next one "MOCHINO". It is not /MƠ-SHI-NOU/

It is not /MƠ-SHI-NOU/. It is actually pronounced /MÔ-SKI:-NOU/ , /MÔ-SKI:-NOU/.

As moschino

Por moschino, Moschino

which is, because, it is an Italian brand and anything with "SCH", I say "SKI:", "SKI:", /MÔ-SKI:-NOU/.

Sepse eshte italiane

Dhe te gjitha fjalet me S, C H I jane ski, ski, Moschino.

There are something on my floor, "VERSACE". It's /VỜ-SÁ-SI/

Ka dicka mbi dyshemenë time.

Te versace

Actually, it's not a /VỜ-SÁ-SI/.

Nuk eshte versace

It is an Italian word and it should be /VỜ-SHÁ-SI/

Eshte fjale italiane, keshtu qe duhet te jete Versace

/VỜ-SHÁ-SI/

Versace.

The next one "NIKE".

Ttjeyra, nuk eshte Nike.

It's not /NAIK/. It is /NAI-KÌ/

Por Nike.

Nike.

The next one is "THIERRY MUGLER".

Tjetra ehste me pak Thierry Mugler

And it's more /THÌ-E-LÝ MU-G-LỜ/.

dhe me shume Thierry Mugler.

We will so have "SAINT LAURENT". Instead of /SAN-LO-RONG/.../SA-LO/

Kemi dhe ne vend te Saint Laurent, Saint Laurent.

/SA-LOW-ONT/. Now the difficulty with this is the French "R"

Saint Laurent.

E veshtira eshte me kete fjalen franceze, ruh

The French "R" sounds which is the /HƠ/,/HƠ/, from the back and I find very difficult to produce.

Shkronja R tingellon si ruh,

Ruh, nga mbrapa, me duket shume e veshtire per tu shqiptuar.

We also have one that is a really really common limit pronounce in the UK.

Kemi dhe kete

Me shqiptim shume shpesh te gabuar ne UK

And the reason we know we mispronounce it, it's because the phrase word that is in French.

He e dime pse shqiptohet keq

Sepse Rachel punoi ne Friends.

And it should be "RALPH LAUREN"=> /ROU-'FLO-RANT/.

Duhet re jete Ralph Lauren

But we for some reason pronounce it /ROU-'FLO-RENT/

Por per ndonje motiv ne themi Ralph Lauren.

Another difficult one is "GIVENCHY".

Nje veshitresi tjeter eshte Givenchy.

/GI-VONG-SHI/.

Givenchy

Oh, that is a tongue twister.

Kjo eshte nje koje me gjuhen.

Now, the next one, it's not a fashion brand. But it is a luxury item.

Tani tjetra, nuk ehste nje mark fashion

Por nje objekt lluksi

And it is "PORSCHE". We would call in the UK /'PO:-SH/

Dhe eshte si do equanim ne ne Uk, porsche.

But it is actually called with 2 syllable, it should be /'PU-SHO/.

Por duhet tethuhet me dy rrokje

Duhet te shqiptohet Porsche.

And I test with my boyfriend, who's really into cars and he said /'PO-SH/ as well.

Pyeta te fejuarin tim, qe i pelqejne makinat

Dhe ai tha Porsche, ndersa duhet shqiptuar Porsche

When it should be /'PO-SHO/. So yeah, really common mistake.

Keshtu që po, gabim i përhapurm
