In this video, I’m going to talk about the two similar and sometimes confusing English words

'နေ့တိုင်း' နဲ့ 'နေ့တိုင်း' လို့ တခါတရံ ရှုပ်ထွေးနေတဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးအကြောင်း ပြောပြပါမယ်

‘every day’ and ‘everyday’.

These two words are commonly confused in English

အထူးသဖြင့် အရေးအသားတွင် ရော

especially in writing,

ထွေးလေ့ရှိသော်လည်း

but after watching this video,

ဤဗီဒီယိုကိုကြည့်ပြီးနောက်၊

you will have a better understanding of the difference and when to use these words.

ဤစကားလုံးများကို မည်သည့်အချိန်တွင် အသုံးပြုရမည်ကို ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်စွာ နားလည်နိုင်မည်ဖြစ်သည်။

Let’s get started.

စလိုက်ကြစို့။

Let’s start with ‘everyday’.

'နေ့တိုင်း' နဲ့ စလိုက်ရအောင်။

It's one word and it's an adjective.

၎င်းသည် စကားလုံးတစ်လုံးဖြစ်ပြီး နာမဝိသေသနဖြစ်သည်။

It means something that is commonplace or usual.

သာမာန် သို့မဟုတ် သာမာန် တစ်ခုခုကို ဆိုလိုသည်။

It's something that's suitable to be used on ordinary days.

သာမာန်နေ့တွေမှာ သုံးဖို့ သင့်တော်တဲ့ အရာပါ။

Let’s look at some examples.

ဥပမာအချို့ကို ကြည့်ကြပါစို့။

The first sentence says,

ပထမစာကြောင်းက

‘Since we're just walking around town, I think I’ll wear my everyday shoes.’

'ငါတို့ မြို့တဝိုက်မှာ လမ်းလျှောက်တာဆိုတော့ ငါ့နေ့စဉ် ဖိနပ်တွေ ဝတ်မယ်ထင်တယ်' တဲ့။

In this case, the word ‘everyday’ is used to describe these shoes.

ဤကိစ္စတွင်၊ ဤဖိနပ်များကိုဖော်ပြရန် 'နေ့စဉ်' ဟူသော စကားလုံးကို အသုံးပြုသည်။

Here it means these are my usual shoes - you know shoes I wear on a normal day.

ဆိုလိုတာက ဒါတွေက ငါ့ရဲ့ပုံမှန်ဖိနပ်တွေပါပဲ၊ သာမာန်နေ့တွေမှာ ငါဝတ်တဲ့ဖိနပ်တွေ မင်းသိလား။

The next sentence says,

နောက်စာကြောင်းက

‘The worries of everyday life can drag you down.’

'နေ့စဉ်ဘဝရဲ့ စိုးရိမ်ပူပန်မှုတွေက မင်းကို ဆွဲငင်ငင်ငေါ့ဖြစ်စေတယ်' လို့ ဆိုပါတယ်။

Here ‘everyday’ is used to describe worries.

ဤတွင် 'နေ့စဉ်' ကို စိုးရိမ်ပူပန်မှုများကို ဖော်ပြရန် သုံးသည်။

What kind of worries?

ဘယ်လိုမျိုး စိုးရိမ်စရာတွေလဲ။

Common worries.

အဖြစ်များသည်။

Worries that are usual for many people.

လူတော်တော်များများအတွက် စိုးရိမ်ပူပန်မှုတွေက ပုံမှန်ပါပဲ။

Now, I will talk about ‘every day’.

အခု ကျွန်တော် 'နေ့တိုင်း' အကြောင်းပြောမယ်။

These are two words.

ဤသည်မှာ စကားနှစ်လုံးဖြစ်သည်။

It is an adverbial phrase about time.

၎င်းသည် အချိန်နှင့်ပတ်သက်သော ကြိယာဝိသေသန စကားစုဖြစ်သည်။

It means each day or daily.

နေ့ရက်တိုင်း သို့မဟုတ် နေ့စဉ်ဟု ဆိုလိုသည်။

Let’s look at some examples.

ဥပမာအချို့ကို ကြည့်ကြပါစို့။

The first sentence says,

ပထမစာကြောင်းက

‘I need to start going to the gym every day.’

'ငါ နေ့တိုင်း Gym သွားရမယ်' တဲ့။

Here, it means Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday all the way up till Sunday

ဤတွင်၊ တနင်္လာ၊ အင်္ဂါ၊ ဗုဒ္ဓဟူး၊ ကြာသပတေးနေ့အထိ တနင်္ဂနွေ

- every single day.

နေ့အထိ နေ့ရက်တိုင်းကို ဆိုလိုသည်။

And the next sentence says,

နောက်စာကြောင်းက

‘You need to study English every day.’

'မင်း အင်္ဂလိပ်စာကို နေ့တိုင်းလေ့လာရမယ်' တဲ့။

Just like the first sentence,

ပထမဝါကျကဲ့သို့ပင်၊

this is saying you need to study English every day of the week.

ဤသည်မှာ သင်သည် တစ်ပတ်လျှင် နေ့တိုင်း အင်္ဂလိပ်စာ လေ့လာရန် လိုအပ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလိုသည်။

Now, let's do a checkup.

အခု စစ်ဆေးကြည့်ရအောင်။

In this conversation, there are two sentences.

ဤစကားဝိုင်းတွင် စာကြောင်းနှစ်ကြောင်းရှိသည်။

In one of the sentences, we should use the two words’ every day’.

ဝါကျတစ်ကြောင်းမှာ 'နေ့တိုင်း' ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးကို သုံးသင့်ပါတယ်။

In the other sentence, we should use the one word ‘everyday’.

တခြားဝါကျမှာ 'နေ့တိုင်း' ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးတစ်လုံးကို သုံးသင့်တယ်။

Take a moment to think about where we use these words.

ဒီစကားလုံးတွေကို ဘယ်မှာသုံးလဲဆိုတာကို ခဏလောက်စဉ်းစားပါ။

‘A’ says, ‘Are you busy _blank_?’

'A' က 'အလုပ်များနေသလား _blank_'

‘A’ is asking if ‘B’ is busy every day of the week.

'A' သည် 'B' သည် အပတ်စဉ်နေ့တိုင်း အလုပ်များနေသလားဟု မေးသည်။

And so we use the two words ‘every day’.

ဒါကြောင့် 'နေ့တိုင်း' ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးကို သုံးပါတယ်။

‘B’ says, ‘Yes, my _blank_ life is very busy.’

'B' က 'ဟုတ်တယ် ငါ့ _blank_ ဘဝက အရမ်းအလုပ်များတယ်'

We need to find an adjective to describe B's life.

B ၏အသက်တာကိုဖော်ပြရန် နာမဝိသေသနတစ်ခုကိုရှာရန်လိုအပ်သည်။

Something that means common or usual,

သာမန် သို့မဟုတ် သာမာန်ဟု အဓိပ္ပါယ်ရသည့် တစ်စုံတစ်ခု ဖြစ်သော

so we need to use the one word ‘everyday’.

ကြောင့် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် 'နေ့စဉ်' ဟူသော စကားလုံးတစ်လုံးတည်းကို အသုံးပြုရန် လိုအပ်ပါသည်။

Let's look at it again.

အဲဒါကို ပြန်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

A: Are you busy every day?

A: နေ့တိုင်း အလုပ်ရှုပ်နေလား။

B: Yes, my everyday life is very busy.

B: ဟုတ်တယ် ငါ့နေ့စဉ်ဘဝက အရမ်းအလုပ်များတယ်။

Now you know the difference between ‘every day’ and ‘everyday’.

'နေ့တိုင်း' နဲ့ 'နေ့စဉ်' တို့ရဲ့ ခြားနားချက်ကို အခု မင်းသိပြီ။

Be sure to use them correctly.
