And in this video we're going to talk about some important English expressions.

And let's first start with 'like' and 'like to'.

First let's look at the board for some examples.

With 'I like', we have to put a person place or thing. Right?

So let's look. "I like cookies." Right?

Food is a thing.

Okay the next one.

"I like English."

English is a subject in school so that's another thing.

So I can also say, "I like math".

The next one is "I like you."

You is a person.

I can say, "I like him. I like Sally".

Right? I can say a person.

And "I like dogs."

That's another thing.

I like dogs. Or for me, personally, I like cats as well.

Okay so let's first try these examples.

"I like cookies."

Okay. The second example is, 'I like to'.

ঠিক আছে. দ্বিতীয় উদাহরণ হল, 'আমি পছন্দ করি'।

Now we put a 'to' here.

এখন আমরা এখানে একটি 'টু' রাখি।

That means, after, I have to put an activity.

Right? An activity.

For example, "I like to dance."

But what I want you to listen for is that 'to'

Now it's okay to say, "I like to dance."

That's okay. But most native English speakers

will kind of get rid of the 'o' and say, "I like to dance."

Here's the next one. "I like to sing."

Okay so these are all personally things that I like to do.

Actually I love to do them.

But 'like to' and 'like' is a little more common.

Okay so let's practice these four examples one more time.

Okay let's look at some more examples together.

Okay so now we're going to move on to the expressions 'I don't like'.

ঠিক আছে তাই এখন আমরা 'আমি পছন্দ করি না' অভিব্যক্তিতে যেতে যাচ্ছি।

And 'I don't like to'

Okay.

So if you look at the board,

but "I don't like" is more common.

Again a little faster.

Right, a lot of women don't like snakes.

ঠিক আছে, অনেক মহিলা সাপ পছন্দ করেন না।

"I don't like snakes."

"আমি সাপ পছন্দ করি না।"

"I don't like snakes."

"আমি সাপ পছন্দ করি না।"

Okay.

ঠিক আছে.

The second example is...

দ্বিতীয় উদাহরণ হল...

'I don't like to'.

'আমি পছন্দ করি না'।

'I don't like to'.

'আমি পছন্দ করি না'।

Remember, at the end of this, we have to put an action.

মনে রাখবেন, এর শেষে আমাদের একটা অ্যাকশন দিতে হবে।

Something that we do.

আমরা যে কিছু.

Right?

So we can say, "I don't like to run."

ঠিক?

তাই আমরা বলতে পারি, "আমি দৌড়াতে পছন্দ করি না।"

"I don't like to run."

"আমি দৌড়াতে পছন্দ করি না।"

Remember, again, the 'to'...

মনে রাখবেন, আবার, 'টু'...

You can say, "I don't like to" or "I don't like to".

আপনি বলতে পারেন, "আমি পছন্দ করি না" বা "আমি পছন্দ করি না"।

"I don't like to run."

"আমি দৌড়াতে পছন্দ করি না।"

Let's try the next one.

Right?

It can get a little bit scary right?

Let's look at more... some more examples together.

Okay so in this video we talked about the expressions

ঠিক আছে তাই এই ভিডিওতে আমরা

'I like...'

'আমি পছন্দ করি...'

' I like to...'

'আমি পছন্দ করি...'

and 'I don't like...'

এবং 'আমি

'I don't like to...'

পছন্দ করি না...' '

But, uh, before we close up I'm going to

আমি পছন্দ করি না...' এই অভিব্যক্তিগুলো নিয়ে কথা বলেছি কিন্তু, উহ

talk about 'I like' and 'I don't like' one more time

because there are other ways to say the same thing.

Instead of 'I like', I can also say, 'I enjoy', or 'I love'.

But remember, 'love' is very strong.

Right, for example "I love cats."

"I also love dogs." Right?

So 'love' is stronger than 'like'.

Okay, the next part is 'I don't like'.

I can also say, 'I dislike'

Again, 'I dislike'.

আবার, 'আমি অপছন্দ করি'।

For example, "I dislike snakes."

Right?

or "I hate snakes."

Similar to 'love', 'hate' is a very strong way of saying I don't like something.

'ভালোবাসার' অনুরূপ, 'ঘৃণা' হল আমি কিছু পছন্দ করি না বলার একটি শক্তিশালী উপায়।

For example, "I hate snakes."

something you're asking for permission okay again you want to do something you

may I is polite okay you want to say that to someone who's a little bit more

important maybe someone you don't know again you would use me I so may I speak

one of the things I remember growing up was whenever my mom would drive home we
