At sa video na ito ay pag-uusapan natin ang ilang mahahalagang ekspresyon sa Ingles.

And let's first start with 'like' and 'like to'.

At magsimula muna tayo sa 'like' at 'like to'.

'I like' and 'I like to'.

'Gusto ko' at 'Gusto ko'.

First let's look at the board for some examples.

Tingnan muna natin ang pisara para sa ilang halimbawa.

With 'I like', we have to put a person place or thing. Right?

So let's look. "I like cookies." Right?

Food is a thing.

Ang pagkain ay isang bagay.

So I could say, "I like cookies. I like pizza."

Kaya masasabi kong, "Gusto ko ng cookies. Gusto ko ng pizza."

Okay the next one.

"I like English."

"Gusto ko ang Ingles."

English is a subject in school so that's another thing.

So I can also say, "I like math".

The next one is "I like you."

Similar to 'love', 'hate' is a very strong way of saying I don't like something.

growing up in America I still used to go to Korean markets with my parents and

lumaki na sa America nagpupunta pa rin ako sa mga Korean market kasama ang aking mga magulang at

one of my favorite things to get there was a yogurt drink it's a small drink

isa sa mga paborito kong pumunta doon ay yogurt drink ito ay isang maliit na inumin

it's pink right it has a red cap and I would always buy that and I loved

ito ay kulay pink tama ito ay may red cap at lagi kong binibili yan at nagustuhan ko

drinking it and when I took it to school my friends would always ask about it and

ang pag inom nito at kapag dinadala ko ito sa school ay laging nagtatanong ang mga kaibigan ko tungkol dito at

I would tell them it tastes like strawberry candy right and I would drink

sasabihin ko sa kanila na parang strawberry candy ang lasa at iinumin ko

it it was my favorite thing to drink so when I came to Korea a couple of years

ito ang paborito kong inumin. kaya nang dumating ako sa Korea ilang taon

ago one of the things that surprised me and shocked me but in a good way was

seeing a lady and kind of like look who looks like my mom or an aunt she was

I was young and not only that she sold that but also other drinks from that

yogurt company so I thought it was just a great way to you know get the drink

yogurt company na yun kaya naisip ko na lang. isang magandang paraan para malaman mo na kunin mo ang inumin

that you like especially for people who don't have time to go to the store or

na gusto mo lalo na sa mga taong walang oras pumunta sa tindahan o

people who are far away from a store but are very thirsty who want something cool

thing was the salespeople what's surprising is well when you go to store

bagay na iyon ay ang mga tindero kung ano ang nakakagulat ay mabuti kapag pumunta ka sa tindahan

in America and yes you will have a salesperson come and ask can I help you

sa America at oo magkakaroon ka ng isang tindero na darating at magtatanong kung maaari ba kitang tulungan

or may I help you but if you say no I don't need help

o maaari ba akong tumulong sa iyo ngunit kung sasabihin mo ay hindi. t need help

or no I'm just looking that salesperson will usually go away and do their own

work but in Korea it's a little different right when I came to Korea and

said no I'm just looking but instead of going away they actually kept following

me right they stood next to me or they stood behind me and they kept trying to

ako tumabi sila sa akin o kaya naman ay pumuwesto sila sa likod ko at pilit nila

help me so if I was looking at something like a t-shirt or a blouse they would

akong tinutulungan kaya kung may tinitingnan akong parang t-shirt o. isang blouse

say oh that shirt is very popular or oh that shirt would look great on you or

sasabihin nila oh sikat na sikat ang shirt na yan o oh ang ganda ng shirt na yan sa iyo o

that shirt is on sale and yes so that's the first difference and another thing

ang shirt na yan ay sale at oo kaya iyon ang unang pagkakaiba at isa pa

is when in Korea when you go and try on the clothes in a dressing room or

ay kapag nasa Korea kapag pumunta ka at subukan ang mga damit sa isang dressing room o

fitting room the mirror is on the outside so after you try it on you have

fitting room ang salamin ay nasa labas kaya pagkatapos mong subukan ito ay kailangan mong

to come outside where everyone can see and see how you look and you'll probably

pumunta sa labas kung saan makikita at makikita ng lahat ang iyong hitsura at malamang

have the salesperson there again saying how you look but in America the

na doon mo na naman ang tindero na nagsasabi kung ano ang hitsura mo ngunit sa America ang

fitting room or the dressing room has the mirrors inside so you can just take

angkop. kwarto o sa dressing room may mga salamin sa loob kaya kunin mo na lang

all the clothes that you want to try go into the fitting room and just try it on

lahat ng damit na gusto mong subukan ay pumunta sa fitting room at subukan mo lang

there's nobody else that can see you so that's a little bit more comfortable for

Angeles and about five minutes away from Hollywood so Burbank is known for its
