لوكاس أين كنت لقد كنت أنتظرك لمدة ساعتين تقريبًا

I'm sorry that I was talking with my friends  and I didn't realize it was already late

أنا آسف لأنني كنت أتحدث مع أصدقائي ولم أدرك أن الوقت قد فات بالفعل

you didn't realize don't you know  it's dangerous to be out so late

ولم تدرك ألا تعلم أنه من الخطير أن خرجت متأخرًا جدًا

yeah I know but I was with my friends  I think you're exaggerating that

، نعم أعلم ذلك، لكنني كنت مع أصدقائي، أعتقد أنك تبالغ في هذه

exaggerating then let me tell you a story  you will change your mind after this

it all happened when I was a child I used to  play with my brothers and sister in the park  

كل هذا حدث عندما كنت طفلاً كنت ألعب مع إخوتي وأختي في الحديقة،

well it was not a park it was more like a cliff  

لم تكن حديقة، بل كانت أشبه بجرف

we used to go there because it was full of  sand we could play different things there

اعتدنا الذهاب إليه لأنه كان مليئًا بالرمال، وكان بإمكاننا لعب أشياء مختلفة هناك،

we also played with our neighbors there were a lot  of children in the neighborhood we used to live  

ولعبنا أيضًا مع جيراننا، وكان هناك الكثير من الأطفال في الحي. اعتدت أن أعيش

anyway we used to go to that Cliff every afternoon  

على أي حال، اعتدنا أن نذهب إلى ذلك الجرف بعد ظهر كل يوم،

we went there at three or  four in the afternoon until

five or six in the afternoon it was a regular day  I remember that day clearly my dad had arrived

from work with my brother he used to take  him to work because he is the oldest brother

they used to arrive at 2 pm when my dad  arrived we my siblings and I asked him if

we could go to play to the cliff as usual he said  we could go but first we had to wash the dishes

we didn't like washing the dishes  of course but we have to do it

after washing the dishes we were allowed to go to  play so I called my friends my neighbors in this

case and we went to our favorite place to play  we were like seven or nine children more or less

we arrived to that cliff it was more like a  small Mountain because it was a little big

we went there and started playing hide and seek  

ذهبنا إلى هناك وبدأنا في لعب الغميضة وذهبت

my brother Jeremy and I went to hide behind  one of the mountains it was not very far

أنا وأخي جيريمي للاختباء خلف أحد الجبال لم يكن الأمر بعيدًا جدًا

when we were there waiting for  our friend to find us we saw a man  

عندما كنا هناك في انتظار أن يجدنا صديقنا، رأينا رجلاً

he was just standing there  about 100 meters from us  

كان يقف هناك على بعد حوالي 100 متر منا،

we thought he was one of our friend's  fathers so we didn't pay much attention to it

واعتقدنا أنه أحد آباء صديقنا، لذلك لم نهتم به كثيرًا

minutes passed and no one came looking for  us we were starting to get bored in fact  

لمدة دقائق . مررنا ولم يأت أحد يبحث عنا لقد بدأنا نشعر بالملل في الواقع لقد

we torrent the city man who  was standing in the distance  

استفزنا رجل المدينة الذي كان يقف على مسافة بعيدة

but he wasn't there anymore we even  thought that we had imagined him

لكنه لم يعد موجودًا حتى أننا اعتقدنا أننا تخيلناه

and then he has maybe been a ghost so we got  scared and started running to the place where  

ومن ثم ربما كان شبحًا لذلك شعرنا بالخوف وبدأنا بالركض إلى المكان الذي

my other friends were of course we lost the game  but we didn't care much about it we were shaking

يتواجد فيه أصدقائي الآخرون بالطبع خسرنا المباراة ولكننا لم نهتم كثيرًا بالأمر، وكنا نرتعش

with all our friends that we had seen a strange  man standing there and that he was looking at us  

مع جميع أصدقائنا أننا رأينا رجلاً غريبًا يقف هناك وأنه كان كذلك. نظروا إلينا

they started laughing they  said that we had imagined it  

وبدأوا في الضحك قالوا إننا تخيلنا ذلك

but we knew we had seen him they didn't believe us

لكننا علمنا أننا رأيناه ولم يصدقونا،

we continued playing and  we didn't see the man again  

واصلنا اللعب ولم نر الرجل مرة أخرى

at about five in the afternoon we went  back home to have dinner we also told  

في حوالي الساعة الخامسة بعد الظهر، عدنا إلى المنزل لنلعب معه في العشاء أخبرنا

my dad that story I mean that we saw  a man standing there and looking at us

والدي أيضًا بهذه القصة، أعني أننا رأينا رجلاً يقف هناك وينظر إلينا

and that suddenly he had disappeared but  my parents didn't believe me either they  

وفجأة اختفى لكن والدي لم يصدقاني أيضًا، قالوا

said I had just imagined that and  I started thinking that maybe yeah  

إنني تخيلت ذلك للتو وبدأت أفكر أنه ربما نعم

maybe they were right and I had imagined him

ربما كانوا على حق وقد تخيلته

so I just forgot about it the next  day we went to the same place as usual  

لذلك نسيت الأمر في اليوم التالي ذهبنا إلى نفس المكان كالمعتاد

but this time we went with our bikes we  love to ride our bikes on that mountain  

ولكن هذه المرة ذهبنا بدراجاتنا التي نحبها لركوب دراجاتنا على ذلك الجبل

there was only one bike or My Brother and Me

لم يكن هناك سوى دراجة واحدة أو دراجة واحدة. أنا وأخي

so we normally had to share it I  didn't have any problem with that  

، لذلك كان علينا عادةً أن نتشارك الأمر، ولم أواجه أي مشكلة في ذلك،

so we started playing hide and seek  again but this time with our bikes

so we went to the same place there  back in the mountain we were hiding

suddenly we saw that man again this time  he was closer to us like 50 minutes from us  

فجأة . رأيت ذلك الرجل مرة أخرى هذه المرة كان أقرب إلينا على بعد حوالي 50 دقيقة منا

that's why I could see him more clearly  

ولهذا السبب تمكنت من رؤيته بشكل أكثر وضوحًا،

it was real I hadn't imagined him he  was a tall man with beard and long hair

كان حقيقيًا لم أتخيله كان رجلاً طويل القامة ذو لحية وشعر طويل

we thought he was homeless because  his clothes were very dirty and we  

اعتقدنا أنه بلا مأوى لأن عائلته كانت الملابس متسخة للغاية ولم نتمكن

could hardly see his face because  his hair was all over his face  

من رؤية وجهه بصعوبة لأن شعره كان يغطي وجهه بالكامل وكان

he was there standing and looking at  us again he looked very weird seriously

هناك يقف وينظر إلينا مرة أخرى لقد بدا غريبًا جدًا على محمل الجد

but he never came close to us so we  just stayed there right in our bike we  

لكنه لم يقترب منا أبدًا لذلك بقينا هناك على دراجتنا

kept playing the whole afternoon as usual  then we realized it was very late for us  

واصلنا اللعب طوال فترة ما بعد الظهر كالمعتاد ثم أدركنا أن الوقت قد فات للغاية بالنسبة لنا،

we normally went back home  at five in the afternoon

وكنا عادة نعود إلى المنزل في الخامسة بعد الظهر

but this time it was half past six  

ولكن هذه المرة كانت الساعة السادسة والنصف

it was almost night we had been so entertained  playing that we had not realized the time  

وكان الليل تقريبًا قد استمتعنا باللعب لدرجة أننا لم ندرك في الوقت الذي

I told my brother to ride his bike and that I  could run to home that way we could arrive earlier

طلبت فيه من أخي أن يركب دراجته، وأنه يمكنني الركض إلى المنزل بهذه الطريقة التي يمكننا من خلالها الوصول مبكرًا

so I started running and left  my brother behind with the bike  

لذلك بدأت بالركض وتركت أخي بالدراجة

when I turned to see him there  was a man standing next to him  

عندما التفتت لرؤيته وكان هناك رجل يقف بجانبه،

that was the same man we had seen before  this time he was very close to my brother

وهو نفس الرجل الذي رأيناه قبل هذا الوقت، وكان قريبًا جدًا من أخي

he was next to him I didn't know what was  happening but suddenly my brother started crying  

وكان بجانبه. لم أكن أعرف ما كان يحدث ولكن فجأة بدأ أخي في البكاء

that man had taken his bike so  I ran back to him to help him  

لأن الرجل أخذ دراجته لذلك ركضت إليه لمساعدته

I couldn't let that man  steal our bike of course not

ولم أستطع السماح لهذا الرجل بسرقة دراجتنا بالطبع ليس

when I got there I told him that was  our bike and that he couldn't take  

عندما وصلت إلى هناك أخبرته أن هذا كان دراجتنا وأنه لا يستطيع أخذها

it or we will call our parents he said  he didn't care he took the bike anyway  

وإلا سنتصل بأهلنا قال إنه لا يهتم لأنه أخذ الدراجة على أي حال

we started screaming calling  our friends so they can help us

بدأنا بالصراخ في الاتصال بأصدقائنا حتى يتمكنوا من مساعدتنا

then the man took the bike  and also took my brother's  

ثم أخذ الرجل الدراجة وأخذ دراجة أخي أيضًا

arm he said he had a place full  of cookies and candies for us  

قال إن لديه مكانًا مليئًا بالبسكويت والحلويات لنا

with more bikes new bikes and that he wanted  us to go with him of course we didn't go

مع المزيد من الدراجات والدراجات الجديدة وأنه يريدنا أن نذهب معه بالطبع لم نذهب أردت

I wanted to run to my house but he was  holding my brother's arm I was so scared  

أن أركض إلى منزلي لكنه كان يمسك بذراع أخي كنت خائفة جدًا

I didn't know what to do I just took a  stone and threw it to the guy the rock  

ولم أعرف ماذا أفعل، أخذت حجرًا ورميته على الرجل، سقط الحجر

fell on his head and he started  bleeding he left my brother's arm

على رأسه وبدأ ينزف، ترك ذراع أخي،

I took my brother and ran to  a place my other friends were  

أخذت أخي وركضت إلى مكان كان أصدقائي الآخرون

I didn't look back at all I  just wanted to see my friends  

لم أنظر إلى الوراء على الإطلاق أردت فقط أن أرى أصدقائي

I was very very scared suddenly we found  our friends and we told him about the man

كنت خائفة جدًا جدًا فجأة وجدنا أصدقائنا وأخبرناه عن الرجل

this time the man was there standing and bleeding  so everyone believed us this time they started  

هذه المرة كان الرجل هناك واقفًا وينزف فصدقنا الجميع هذه المرة بدأوا في

throwing more rocks to him so he left running  we took our bike and went back home that day

الرمي المزيد من الحجارة له فترك الركض وأخذنا دراجتنا وعادنا إلى المنزل في ذلك اليوم

I had to explain my father what had happened this  

كان علي أن أشرح لوالدي ما حدث هذه

time my friends were there so he  believed us and my brother too  

المرة كان أصدقائي هناك لذا صدقنا وأخي أيضًا

we never went to that place to play again and  probably it happened because it was very late

ولم نذهب أبدًا إلى ذلك المكان للعب مرة أخرى وربما حدث ذلك لأن الوقت كان متأخرًا جدًا

now do you understand why I get mad at you for  arriving late also with my brother and my friends

playing but there are always bad people everywhere  we always have to be careful son I'm just worried
