Here is an interesting word that we often use

This word can be used as both a noun and a verb.

इस शब्द का प्रयोग संज्ञा और क्रिया दोनों के रूप में किया जा सकता है।

The basic meaning of bluff is a trick or pretence,

झांसा देने का मूल अर्थ एक चाल या दिखावा है,

carried out so as to make others  believe that something is real or true.

जो दूसरों को यह विश्वास दिलाने के लिए किया जाता है कि कुछ वास्तविक या सच है।

The noun form of ‘bluff’  refers to the state or action 

'झांसा' का संज्ञा रूप

of pretending or misleading someone.

किसी को दिखावा करने या गुमराह करने की अवस्था या क्रिया को दर्शाता है।

The bluff is the misleading thing.

As a verb it is the act of tricking someone into believing something.

During a game of poker,

a person might bluff the other  people taking part in the game.

One player will pretend that  they have a good hand of cards.

However, if they don't have a good hand of cards, we can say that they are bluffing.

That person is misleading the others.

We can describe a person  who is very good at hiding

Of course, it is possible to call someone's bluff.

This means that the person  who is holding the cards

or lying must prove that they are  not cheating or being dishonest.

In everyday life, we can call someone's bluff,

General synonyms of ‘bluff’ include...  conceal, trick, lie, mislead, hoodwink.

'धोखा' के सामान्य पर्यायवाची शब्दों में शामिल हैं... छिपाना, छल करना, झूठ बोलना, गुमराह करना, धोखा देना।

If one person tries to conceal  something from another person,

we can say that action is a 'bluff',

especially if it is done in the form of a lie.
