English Slang / Idioms: Pissed Off

And in this video, we're going  to talk about a slang word. 

وفي هذا الفيديو ، سنتحدث عن كلمة عامية.

And that word is ‘pissed’ or ‘pissed off’. Now, before I start, I want to tell you that  

وهذه الكلمة هي "غاضب" أو "غاضب". الآن ، قبل أن أبدأ ، أود أن أخبركم أن

‘pissed’ can actually have several meanings. But today, we're going to focus on one meaning. 

"الغاضب" يمكن أن يكون له في الواقع عدة معان. لكن اليوم ، سنركز على معنى واحد.

And the meaning that I want  to focus on is ‘angry’. 

والمعنى الذي أريد التركيز عليه هو "غاضب".

Okay, so ‘pissed’ or ‘pissed off’ can  mean very angry or maybe upset or annoyed. 

حسنًا ، يمكن أن تعني كلمة "غاضب" أو "منزعج" غضبًا شديدًا أو ربما مستاءًا أو منزعجًا.

Okay, so before I explain a little bit  more, let's look at these example sentences. 

حسنًا ، قبل أن أشرح أكثر قليلاً ، دعنا نلقي نظرة على أمثلة الجمل هذه.

The first one is, “I'm pissed.” This just means “I'm angry” “I'm upset” 

الأول ، "أنا غاضب." هذا يعني فقط "أنا غاضب" "أنا مستاء"

So again, “I'm pissed.” The next sentence is very similar. 

لذا مرة أخرى ، "أنا غاضب". الجملة التالية متشابهة جدا.

“I'm pissed off.” “I'm pissed off.” 

"أنا غضبان." "أنا غضبان."

Again, these two sentences have the same meaning. They both mean ‘I'm very angry about something’  

مرة أخرى ، هاتان الجملتان لهما نفس المعنى. كلاهما يعني "أنا غاضب جدًا بشأن شيء ما"

or ‘I'm very angry at somebody’. Please also notice that we have to  

أو "أنا غاضب جدًا من شخص ما". يرجى أيضًا ملاحظة أنه يتعين علينا أن

say pissed in the past tense. We have to say it with -ed. 

نقول مستاء في الفعل الماضي. علينا أن نقول ذلك بوعاء.

If you say I'm pissed without -ed,  it actually has a different meaning. 

إذا قلت إنني غاضب من دون أن يغضب ، فهذا يعني في الواقع معنى مختلف.

So again, you must say “I'm pissed” or  “I'm pissed off” to show that you're angry. 

لذا مرة أخرى ، يجب أن تقول "أنا منزعج" أو "أنا منزعج" لتظهر أنك غاضب.

Okay, here's the last sentence. “I get pissed off when he lies to me.” 

حسنًا ، ها هي الجملة الأخيرة. "أغضب عندما يكذب علي."

That means I get angry when he lies to me. Again, “I get pissed off when he lies to me.” 

هذا يعني أنني أغضب عندما يكذب علي. مرة أخرى ، "أشعر بالغضب عندما يكذب علي."

Let's make sure we also notice  the pronunciation “pissed off”. 

دعونا نتأكد من أننا نلاحظ أيضًا النطق "غاضب".

at the example sentence one more time. “I get pissed off when he lies to me.”

And for all the women out there,  you understand what I mean, right? 

وبالنسبة لجميع النساء هناك ، هل تفهم ما أعنيه ، أليس كذلك؟

When someone you care about or someone you love  lies to you, you get angry or pissed off, right? 

عندما يكذب عليك شخص تهتم لأمره أو شخص تحبه ، تغضب أو تغضب ، أليس كذلك؟

So let's look at a few more  example sentences together. 

لذلك دعونا نلقي نظرة على بعض الأمثلة على الجمل معًا.

“I was pissed off when the  other car cut in front of me.” 

“I was pissed off when the  other car cut in front of me.” 

"شعرت بالغضب عندما قطعت السيارة الأخرى أمامي."

"شعرت بالغضب عندما قطعت السيارة الأخرى أمامي."

“Don't get pissed off. It was a mistake.” “Don't get pissed off. It was a mistake.” 

”لا تغضب. لقد كان خطأ." ”لا تغضب. لقد كان خطأ."

“I'm pissed off that he didn't pay me back yet.” “I'm pissed off that he didn't pay me back yet.” 

"أنا غاضب لأنه لم يرد لي بعد." "أنا غاضب لأنه لم يرد لي بعد."

Okay, so we looked at a couple example sentences, and we learned the word ‘pissed’ or ‘pissed off’ 

حسنًا ، لذلك نظرنا إلى جملتين من الأمثلة ، وتعلمنا كلمة "غاضب" أو "غاضب"

so just remember it's a very common slang if you  use it in America or another english-speaking

country, everybody will know that  that means you're angry or upset.

But remember, you should probably only  use this with your friends because if

you say this to somebody that you don't  know, well it can seem a little bit rude.

Okay, so please remember that when you're  angry try saying ‘pissed’ or ‘pissed off’.
