once there was a woman called  Immaculata her friend's caller Emma  

uma vez que havia uma mulher chamada Imaculada, a amiga dela que ligou, Emma

she lived in a village in Mexico  Immaculata was indigenous and

her mother and father died when  she was very young she was poor

one day a Spanish man came to the  Village it was rich and rode on a horse

she put on the white dress and they slept together

ela vestiu o branco vestido e dormiram juntos

soon Immaculata got pregnant everyone asked her  who the father was but she did not tell them

Guillermo said she couldn't tell them  they won't understand our love he said

so she took a knife and cut herself

her blood went into the river it ran over her  body and it ran over the bodies of her children

that night Guillermo came home but Immaculata  wasn't there his children weren't there

naquela noite o Guillermo voltou para casa mas a Imaculada não estava lá seus filhos não estavam lá,

how strange he said but really he was happy he  didn't love Immaculata anymore did that make him

she was looking for something oh  my children where are you she cried

ela estava procurando alguma coisa ai meus filhos cadê vocês ela chorou

who is that woman at the bottom of the river  

quem é aquela mulher no fundo do rio

said Blanca she looked closer  and then she fell in the water  

disse Blanca ela olhou mais de perto e aí caiu na água

the river was fast and the water was deep help  help she cried Guillermo but Guillermo didn't come

o rio era rápido e a água foi profundo socorro socorro ela chorou Guillermo mas Guillermo não veio

she felt a cold wet hand on her foot the hand  pulled her down when Guillermo came back Lanka  

ela sentiu uma mão fria e molhada em seu pé a mão puxou ela para baixo quando Guillermo voltou Lanka

had drowned oh my God he said she's dead he  looked in the river but he did not touch the body

he thought he saw something White like a  white dress but when he looked again there  

ele pensou ter visto algo Branco como um vestido branco mas quando ele olhou de novo não havia

nada lá devo voltar para a Espanha ele disse que nada de bom vem deste lugar

so Guillermo left he went back  to Spain and Immaculate stayed  

então Guillermo foi embora ele voltou para a Espanha e Imaculada ficou

in the river the people in the village  call her the crying woman La Llorona  

no rio o as pessoas da aldeia a chamam de mulher chorona La Llorona

and from that day people were always  careful when they went near the river

e a partir daquele dia as pessoas sempre tiveram cuidado quando passavam perto do rio
