Meaning of YOU'VE LOST ME and I DON'T FOLLOW YOU - A Short English Lesson with Subtitles

Do you ever have it

هل سبق لك أن حصلت على

where someone is explaining something to you,

مكان يشرح لك فيه شخص ما شيئًا ما ،

and you're just really confused?

وأنت مرتبك حقًا؟

You don't understand what they're saying.

أنت لا تفهم ما يقولونه.

You could, in English, say to them, "Whoa, you've lost me.

يمكنك ، باللغة الإنجليزية ، أن تقول لهم ، "توقف ، لقد فقدتني.

"Stop for a minute and re-explain

" توقف لمدة دقيقة وأعد شرح

"what you were just explaining to me."

"ما كنت تشرحه لي للتو."

In English, when you say, "You've lost me,"

في اللغة الإنجليزية ، عندما تقول ، "لقد فقدتني" ،

it doesn't mean that they've actually lost you

out somewhere in the wilderness, like behind me.

It simply means that you no longer understand

what they are telling you.

Maybe someone is telling you how to make

a certain kind of food,

and they tell you what you need to do for step one

You could say, "Whoa, just a minute.

So when you say, "You've lost me," in English,

So if someone is explaining something to you

Basically what you're saying is, "Stop.

So in English, if you say to someone, "You've lost me,"
