A million pounds, what are my options?

When you give money to that charity or any good cause

You donate money

فأنت تتبرع به

The preposition with "donate" is "to"

حرف جر للفعل هوTO

So for me I could donate money to charity

فعندى أستطيع التبرع للجمعية

Yes! I will donate five hundred thousand pounds to charity, because I am great

نعم!سأتبرع بخمسن ألف من الباونات للجمعيات الخيرية لإنى عظيم

I've always wanted to join Wall Street and do stock trading! Yeah!

I could invest

With this, we use the preposition "in"

ومع ذلك الفعل ،نستخدم حرف IN

Maybe I should invest in Tesla

ربما على الاستثمار فى شركة تسلا

They're doing quite well at the moment or perhaps Bitcoin I hear good things

Wow just with so much money to spend

فقط مع الكثير من المال لتنفقه

"Spend"! That's a good word! It means to use your money to buy goods or services to spend

تنفق! هذه هى الكلمة الجيدة!وتعنى استخدام المال لشرء بضائع أو خدمات

"To spend" we use the preposition "on"

يستخدم مع حرف الجرon

Spend time ON Spend money ON

قضاء الوقت ONإهدار المال

I will spend lots of money on the cat

لقد أهدرت الكثير من المال على هذه القطة

she needs new shoes

تحتاج حذاء جديدًا

Okay what else? what else? what else? what can I do?

نعم ماذا أيضا ؟ماذا على ان أفعل؟

I know! For my mother... she needs a new car!

When I spend money on a product, I use the verb "buy"

عندما أنفق مالى على منتج ،فأنا استخدم الفعل يشترى buy

The preposition with "buy" is "for"

مع حرف الجر for

So I will buy a car FOR my mum

لذلك فأود شراء for لإمى

But if that money is not for a product but for a service

لكن إن كان المال ليس منتجًا معينًا ولكنه لخدمة

Then I pay for it, I don't buy it, for example

نستخدم الفعل يدفع ،لاأشتريه،مثلا

A great idea!

فكرة رائعة!

I will pay for a holiday for the cat!

سأدفع لأجازة القطة

I'm taking you to Egypt Lily! You're a god there!

سآخذك لمصر يا ليلى !هناك أنتِ إله

But how can I pay for goods and products?

ولكن كيف بوسعى "الدفع"للبضائع والمنتجات؟

Well I could use...

نعم أستطيع

Well if I'm talking about the METHOD of payment I can use these prepositions

حسنًا لو أخذت طريقة الدفع أستطيع استخدام هذه الحروف

Now be careful! You pay BY card or

كن حذرًا الآن! فأنت تدفعBY كاردأو

IN cash

أو مال نقدى

Never IN card

IN CARDمطلقا لا

You could however say BY cash

ومع ذلك بإمكانك قولBY CASH

That's fine!

هذا جيد

But wait!

لكن انتظر!

Maybe one day I will want to buy a boat for myself

ربما يومًا ما سأودُ شراء قارب لنفسى

So maybe I should keep some money

اذًأ فعلى إبقاء بعض المال

When we keep money in order to use it in the future

عندما نبقى المال عند الطلب لاستخدامه فى المستقبل

We say "Save"

نقول "ندخر"

But! When we're talking about the object we would like to buy in the future

لكن!عندما نتكلم عن شىء نود شراؤه مستقبلاً

Then we use these prepositions...

ثم نستخدم هذه الحروف

"UP FOR" when we have the object

نستخدمها للمفعول به

I should save UP FOR a boat

على أن أوفر UP FOR للقارب

But also, my friend needs help

وأيضًا ،صديقتى تحتاج للمساعدة

Her bank account is in the negative

حسابها البنكى قد سحب

When your bank account is in the negative, or "in the red"

عندما يسحب حسابك المصرفى أو فى وضع الإيقاف

We can say that you ARE

تستطيع قول ذلك أنت

IN your overdraft. Or you ARE overdrawn

INحسابك جارأوأحساب مكشوف

Be careful of the pronunciation: "Overdrawn"

كن يقظا فى نطق الفعل

"I'm overdrawn"

Any money which you "owe" - Which you need to pay back to someone or some organisation

أى مال مدين به وتريد ارجاعه لأحدٍ أو منظمة

It's a "debt"

إنه دين

Be careful of the pronunciation the B is silent

كن حذرًا بنطقك B فهى حرف لاينطق

Debt

And for this the preposition is "IN"

ومع هذا الفعل حرفIN

With the verb "BE"

مع فعل BE

"To be in debt" so we could say

نستطيع قول

"My friend is in her overdraft"

صديقتى حسابها حسابها مكشوف

"She is overdrawn"

هى مَدينة

And "She is in debt"

وهى فى دين

Another possible verb is "have"

وفعل آخر متاح هوHAVE

To have debt, she also has debt. My poor friend!

او عندها دين .صديقتى المسكينة

Well maybe I can help

حسنًا ربما أمكننى المساعدة

Yes! I will pay those debts!

نعم!سوف أدفع هذه الديون

Now when you pay debts you use the preposition "OFF"

عندما تدفع الدين تستخدم حرف OFF

So a full sentence...

لكمال المعنى

"Don't worry, I will pay off your debts"

Or another thing you could do with a mi-

شىء آخر يمكنك عمله معى
