What is it about the season of spring

봄이라는 계절에는 왜

that makes me want to dance and sing?

춤추고 노래하고 싶은 걸까?

Is it the colour bursting out with Glee

글리(Glee)에서 터져나오는 색깔인가요,

or the first Buzz Buzz of the Bumblebee?

아니면 범블비의 첫 번째 버즈버즈인가요?

The daffodils waving their colours as they sway.

수선화는 흔들리면서 저마다의 색깔을 뽐낸다.

What a joy to be out on a springtime day.

봄날에 밖에 나가는 건 정말 즐거운 일이죠.

The poets with their prose  all delight in the glow,

시인들은 모두 산문을 통해

of a mild spring day as the buds start to show.

봄날의 온화한 햇살을 즐기며, 새싹이 돋아나기 시작합니다.

Wordsworth was pleased with his poem so mellow

워즈워스는 노란색 꽃을 의미심장하게 표현한 그의 시가 너무나 부드럽고 마음에 들었습니다

with those meaningful lines  for the flowers so yellow.

The spring nights become  shorter and the days grow long.

봄에는 밤이 점점 짧아지고 낮은 점점 길어진다.

The birds begin calling their mating song.

새들이 짝짓기 노래를 부르기 시작합니다.

Spring is to me a time to give birth,

저에게 봄은 출산의 계절이며,

a time to replenish the air and the Earth,

공기와 땅에 새로운 생명을 불어넣는 계절입니다.

so take in a deep breath  and I'm sure you'll agree,

깊이 들이마시면 여러분도 동의하실 겁니다.

that spring is a glorious season to see.

봄은 참으로 아름다운 계절입니다.

I don’t know why, but I always get  excited as spring arrives here in England.

왜인지는 모르겠지만, 영국에 봄이 찾아올 때마다 저는 항상 설렘을 느낍니다. 긴 겨울이 끝나고 자연이 깨어나는

It really is a wonderful time of year,

정말 멋진 계절입니다

as nature wakes up after  the long winter months. Those horrible cold days.

. 그 끔찍하게 추운 날씨.

The first of March signifies the beginning  of what we call meteorological spring.

3월 1일은 우리가 기상학적 봄이라고 부르는 계절의 시작을 의미합니다.

That is to say we have left  those dull and dismal winter days

즉, 우리는 지루하고 암울한 겨울날을 떠나

and now we are heading towards those bright  and sometimes pleasantly warm spring days.

이제 밝고 때로는 기분 좋게 따뜻한 봄날을 향해 나아가고 있습니다.

Although spring mornings can still be quite cold,

봄철 아침은 여전히 ​​꽤 춥지만,

it is not unusual for the temperature to drop  dramatically during the first few weeks of spring.

For example the temperature  here in England last night

dropped below freezing, creating a harsh frost.

The good news of course is that the Sun is able to create more heat as it  slowly rises higher in the sky.

The cold spring mornings soon make way for pleasant and some might  say enjoyable afternoons.

추운 봄 아침은 곧 쾌적하고 즐거운 오후로 바뀐다.

There is no doubt that spring is a wonderful season.

봄이 아름다운 계절이라는 점에는 의심의 여지가 없습니다.
