Essential English vocabulary: climate change and COP26

Net zero.

אפס נטו.

We've been hearing that a lot lately.

שמענו את זה הרבה לאחרונה.

But what does it really mean?

אבל מה זה אומר באמת?

All these words and numbers can feel overwhelming.

כל המילים והמספרים האלה יכולים להרגיש מהמם.

So, here are three key terms to help.

Let's start with

נתחיל

net zero.

מאפס נטו.

That means the carbon we put in

is the same as the carbon we take out.

Leaving us with... zero.

And another phrase:

circular economy.

That means instead of
