a teacher well I have been teaching English  for about 17 years it was long time ago

yeah I don't remember the number but  I've had thousands of students I'm sure

then can you tell me why do these students  take that decision of studying English

why do they decide to study English there  are many reasons why people study English

some people need to travel to other country and  they need English to communicate with other people

برخی از افراد باید به کشور دیگری سفر کنند و برای برقراری ارتباط با افراد دیگر به زبان انگلیسی نیاز دارند، برخی

others only want to study English because they  like the language but the most common reason

دیگر فقط می‌خواهند انگلیسی را مطالعه کنند زیرا آن زبان را دوست دارند، اما رایج‌ترین دلیل آن این است که

it's because they need to speak English to improve  their lifestyle they want to earn more money

برای بهبود سبک زندگی خود باید انگلیسی صحبت کنند و می‌خواهند درآمد بیشتری کسب کنند.

and I think that's great because that was also  my case I studied English to become a teacher  

و فکر می‌کنم این عالی است، زیرا مورد من نیز همین بود. من انگلیسی خواندم تا معلم شوم.

I love being a teacher but before I became a  teacher I used to work as a construction worker

دوست دارم معلم شوم، اما قبل از اینکه معلم شوم، به عنوان کارگر ساختمانی کار می‌کردم،

it was very tiring and also stressful so I decided  to study English to become an English teacher

and now I don't earn a lot of money but I can work  in different institutes and universities and I

love my job because I can help a lot of people  not only for my country but around the world

that's great and you're right learn a new language  is a great way to get better opportunities

and tell me teacher what is the most difficult  thing about learning this beautiful language

well it depends on the student many  of them have problems with listening

they can't understand what an advanced  English students speak or a native speaker

or when they watch a movie or listen to a  song they don't understand what they're saying

some students have problems  with reading and writing  

I know many students who hate writing and reading

برخی از دانش‌آموزان با خواندن و نوشتن مشکل دارند.

but I think the most difficult part of learning  English is to be able to speak English very well  

سخت‌ترین بخش یادگیری انگلیسی این است که بتوانید انگلیسی را خیلی خوب صحبت کنید. می‌دانستم که

I knew you were gonna say that and that's logical  since it's a language and we need to speak it

می‌خواهید این را بگویید و این منطقی است، زیرا این یک زبان است و ما باید با آن صحبت کنیم،

yes that's true many students have troubles  when they try to speak English fluently

and why do you think that is I mean is there a  special reason why they can't speak in English

و چرا فکر می‌کنید منظورم این است که آیا دلیل خاصی وجود دارد که چرا آنها نمی‌توانند به خوبی انگلیسی صحبت کنند.

well I'm not a scientist but from my years of  experience teaching English I can say that yes  

I think many students bail at learning or speaking  English because they feel afraid to speak this  

انگلیسی صحبت کردن چون احساس می‌کنند از صحبت کردن به این

language they are afraid to speak English but  they do want to speak this language why is that  

زبان می‌ترسند، می‌ترسند انگلیسی صحبت کنند، اما می‌خواهند به این زبان صحبت کنند، چرا آنها

well they are not afraid to speak English  but to make mistakes at the moment they do it

نمی‌ترسند انگلیسی صحبت کنند، اما از اشتباه کردن در لحظه‌ای که این کار را انجام می‌دهند، می‌فهمم،

oh I understand but that's understandable  speaking a new language is not easy

اما این قابل درک صحبت کردن به یک زبان جدید دقیقاً آسان نیست، این

exactly it is a process you can't  become an expert in just weeks

what I mean is if you really want to improve  your speaking skills the only way is to practice

because it's an active skill and  you need to practice it to improve

and you need to make mistakes

you need to make mistakes but I can't  recommend students to make mistakes

well that's part of the process I made a lot  of mistakes when I was learning this language

let me tell you something when I started learning  English in an Institute we were like 20 students

and do you know how many of them got to  speak English fluently exactly just me  

و آیا می‌دانید چند نفر از آنها دقیقاً فقط من انگلیسی را روان صحبت کردند.

with this I do not intend to brag  about my achievements oh of course not

but I think you need to know the reason why I  was the only student who became fluent at English

دلیل اینکه من تنها دانش آموزی بودم که به زبان انگلیسی مسلط شدم،

it wasn't by luck I wish it was  because of two important reasons

از شانس نبود، ای کاش به دو دلیل مهم بود،

two important reasons well I think we  everyone want to know what those reasons are  

دو دلیل مهم، خوب فکر می کنم ما همه می خواهیم بدانیم این دلایل چیست

sure the first important reason was  the consistency that's really important

مطمئناً اولین دلیل مهم این بود  ثباتی که

during the time I was studying English  many of my partners quit seriously and also  

در طول مدتی که من انگلیسی می‌خواندم بسیار مهم است. بسیاری از شرکای من به‌طور جدی آن را ترک کردند و همچنین

when I started studying or practicing  English with friends they got bored very fast  

وقتی من شروع به مطالعه یا تمرین انگلیسی با دوستان کردم، خیلی سریع

they got frustrated and gave up learning English  while I was still in the pad to speak in English

خسته شدند. به زبان انگلیسی

what I really mean is that I was the only one  who never gave up that's why I could make it  

منظورم واقعا این است که من تنها کسی بودم که هرگز تسلیم نشد، به همین دلیل توانستم آن را انجام دهم. نکته

the other important thing was that despite I was  afraid to speak in English because I was learning  

مهم دیگر این بود که علیرغم اینکه می ترسیدم به زبان انگلیسی صحبت کنم زیرا در حال یادگیری بودم،

I dared to do it anyway and I don't want  you to misunderstand me please I was afraid  

به هر حال جرأت کردم این کار را انجام دهم. نمی‌خواهم مرا اشتباه متوجه شوی، می‌ترسیدم،

I was afraid to make mistakes all the time  but I did it anyway I just spoke in English  

همیشه می‌ترسیدم اشتباه کنم، اما به هر حال این کار را انجام دادم،

every time I was scared I remembered my father's  words he taught me how to drive my first car  

هر بار که می‌ترسیدم، حرف‌های پدرم را به یاد می‌آورم که به من یاد داد چگونه اولین ماشینم را برانم. به

he used to tell me you just do it  don't mind that others make fun of you

من می گفت تو فقط این کار را بکن. اهمیت نده که دیگران تو را مسخره کنند،

after all the one who will benefit in the end  will be you because you will improve your English

بالاخره یکی از کسانی که در نهایت سود می برد، خودت خواهی بود، چون زبان انگلیسی ات را بهتر می کنی

and yeah I spoke a lot and made  a lot of mistakes while speaking  

و بله، من زیاد صحبت کردم و اشتباهات زیادی کردم. صحبت کردن

but that is crucial to learn something new  

اما برای یادگیری چیزهای جدید بسیار مهم است

that is what stops many people from learning  something new and this includes English of course

این چیزی است که بسیاری از افراد را از یادگیری چیز جدید باز می‌دارد و البته این شامل انگلیسی نیز می‌شود،

so my recommendation is it doesn't matter if  you make a lot of mistakes that's how you learn

in fact I think that's the only way to learn  English by making mistakes and learning from them
