Those days gone by that sometimes feel as if they'll never return.

Quite often we will describe this feeling

as taking a walk down 'memory lane'.

You will reminisce about the past.

You might remember a moment from your childhood

that holds fond memories for you.

You take a walk down memory lane.

Perhaps you discuss the past with one of your relatives, or maybe some friends.

We often talk about the good old days

when things seemed better.

However, much of that is an illusion.

Quite often we distort the past.

We make it seem better than it actually was.

So sometimes taking a walk down

memory lane might be deceptive.

Well, first of all, we can say that you reminisce.

You remember.

You look back into the past.

You remember moments.

Golden moments from your past.

As I mentioned earlier, perhaps your childhood,

maybe a moment of time that you remember fondly.

Something that you keep close to your heart.

Quite often some of our memories will relate to

those who are no longer with us.

Perhaps a loved family member

such as a father, mother or brother

or sister, or perhaps a partner.

These are all things

that can bring back those wonderful memories.

Sometimes a memory can be described as 'bittersweet'.

Maybe something from your past

might bring a smile to your face,

but also a tear to your eye.

Sometimes taking a walk down memory lane

can bring up all sorts of memories

and emotions.
