မင်္ဂလာပါ လူတိုင်း။

In this video, we’re going to learn how to ask questions using ‘have’.

ဤဗီဒီယိုတွင် 'have' ကို အသုံးပြု၍ မေးခွန်းများမေးနည်းကို လေ့လာပါမည်။

Okay, let’s look at the board.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ဘုတ်ကိုကြည့်ရအောင်။

When we are talking about ‘he’, ‘she’ or ‘it’,

'သူ'၊ 'သူမ' ဒါမှမဟုတ် 'အဲ' လို့ ပြောတဲ့အခါ

the question always begins with ‘does’.

မေးခွန်းက 'ဟုတ်' နဲ့ စတယ်။

After the pronoun, we have ‘have’.

နာမ်စားပြီးရင် ငါတို့မှာ 'ရှိ' တယ်။

So, we say, “Does he have…”

ဒီတော့ “သူ့မှာ…”

“Does she have…”

“သူ့မှာ…”

“Does it have…”

“ရှိသလား…”

Now, let’s practice with this question and let’s look at the two answers.

ကဲ၊ ဒီမေးခွန်းနဲ့ လေ့ကျင့်ကြည့်ရအောင် အဖြေနှစ်ခုကို ကြည့်ကြရအောင်။

Okay.

ဟုတ်ပြီ

“Does he have a friend?”

"သူ့မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

If the answer is ‘yes’, we say “yes”,

အဖြေက 'Yes' ဆိုရင် "Yes" လို့ ပြောပါတယ်၊

in the blank, we match… this has to be the same.

အကွက်မှာ တူညီတဲ့အချက်က တူညီရပါမယ်။

“Yes, he does.”

“ဟုတ်တယ်၊ သူလုပ်တယ်။”

If the answer is ‘no’.

အဖြေက 'မဟုတ်ဘူး'။

“No, he doesn’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူ မဟုတ်ဘူး။”

“Does he have a friend?”

"သူ့မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Yes, she does.”

"ဟုတ်​တယ်​ သူ​ပြောတာ။"

“No, she doesn’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူမ မဟုတ်ဘူး။”

“Does it have a friend?”

"သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Yes, it does.”

"ဟုတ်​တယ်​။"

“No, it doesn’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ မဟုတ်ဘူး။”

Okay, so remember ‘does…have’.

ကောင်းပြီ ဒါဆို 'does...have' ကို မှတ်ထားပါ။

Now, when we use ‘you’, ‘we’, ‘they’, we use ‘do’ in the front.

အခု ငါတို့က 'မင်း'၊ 'ငါ'၊ 'သူတို့' သုံးတဲ့အခါ ရှေ့က 'do' ကိုသုံးတယ်။

And ‘have’ after.

ပြီးရင် 'ရှိ' တယ်။

“Do you have a friend?”

"မင်းမှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Do we have a friend?”

"ငါတို့မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Do they have a friend?”

"သူတို့မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

Okay.

ဟုတ်ပြီ

And again, we have two answers.

ထို့အပြင်၊ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့တွင် အဖြေနှစ်ခုရှိသည်။

We finish with ‘do’ or ‘don’t’.

ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် 'မလုပ်' သို့မဟုတ် 'မလုပ်' ဖြင့် အဆုံးသတ်သည်။

So, “Do you have a friend?”

ဒါဆို "မင်းမှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Yes, I do.”

"ကောင်းပါပြီကျွန်တော်သဘောတူပါတယ်။"

Right, the question is asking ‘you’, so, you say “I do.”

ဟုတ်ပါတယ်၊ မေးခွန်းက 'မင်း' လို့မေးတာဆိုတော့ မင်းက "ငါလုပ်တယ်" လို့ပြောတာ။

Or, “No, I don’t.”

ဒါမှမဟုတ် "မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ ငါမလုပ်ဘူး။"

“Do we have a friend?”

"ငါတို့မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Yes, we do.”

“ဟုတ်ပြီ၊ ငါတို့လုပ်တယ်။”

Or, “No, we don’t.”

ဒါမှမဟုတ် "မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ ငါတို့မလုပ်ဘူး။"

And last.

ပြီးတော့ နောက်ဆုံး။

“Do they have a friend?”

"သူတို့မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းရှိလား"

“Yes, they do.”

"ဟုတ်တယ်၊ သူတို့လုပ်တယ်။"

“No, they don’t.”

"မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူတို့မလုပ်ဘူး။"

Okay, let’s move on to some more practice.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ နောက်ထပ် အလေ့အကျင့်တစ်ခုဆီ ဆက်သွားကြရအောင်။

Alright, let’s try this practice together.

So let’s look at the first practice.

ဒီတော့ ပထမဆုံး အလေ့အကျင့်ကို ကြည့်လိုက်ရအောင်။

It’s a question.

မေးခွန်းတစ်ခုပါ။

Okay, so remember when we ask a question, we begin with ‘do’ or ‘does’.

ဟုတ်ပြီ၊ မေးခွန်းတစ်ခုမေးတဲ့အခါ၊ 'do' သို့မဟုတ် 'does' နဲ့ စတယ် ဆိုတာ သတိရပါ။

Okay.

ဟုတ်ပြီ

We have ‘she’.

ငါတို့မှာ 'သူမ' ရှိတယ်။

Well, remember for all questions we use ‘have’.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ 'ရှိသည်' ကိုသုံးသော မေးခွန်းအားလုံးအတွက် သတိရပါ။

In the front, should we use ‘does’ or ‘do’?

ရှေ့တွင် 'does' သို့မဟုတ် 'do' ကို သုံးသင့်ပါသလား။

The answer is ‘does’.

အဖြေက 'လုပ်တာ' တဲ့။

“Does she have a dress?”

"သူ့မှာ ဝတ်စုံရှိလား"

When we answer, “Yes…”

“ဟုတ်ကဲ့…” လို့ ဖြေတဲ့အခါ

What do we put here?

ဒီမှာ ဘာထည့်မလဲ။

Remember, we put the pronoun ‘she’.

နာမ်စား 'သူမ' ကို ထည့်ထားတယ်ဆိုတာ သတိရပါ။

And the answer ‘does’.

ပြီးတော့ အဖြေက 'ဟုတ်' တဲ့။

“Yes, she does.”

"ဟုတ်​တယ်​ သူ​ပြောတာ။"

The next one.

နောက်တစ်ခု။

We have ‘they’.

ငါတို့မှာ 'သူတို့' ရှိတယ်။

Okay, ‘have’ is again the same.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ 'ရှိပြီ' သည် ထပ်တူပင်။

“…have a bicycle?”

"...စက်ဘီးရှိလား"

Okay, what goes in the front?

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ရှေ့က ဘာသွားတာလဲ။

For ‘they’, we use ‘do’.

'သူတို့' အတွက် 'do' ကို သုံးသည်။

“Do they have a bicycle?”

"သူတို့မှာ စက်ဘီးရှိလား"

This time the answer is negative.

ဒီတစ်ခါ အဖြေက အနုတ်လက္ခဏာပါ။

“No, they….”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး သူတို့….”

What do we put here?

ငါတို့ဒီမှာဘာထားလဲ။

It doesn’t make sense to say, “do”.

"လုပ်" လို့ ပြောတာ အဓိပ္ပါယ်မရှိပါဘူး။

Right?

ဟုတ်တယ်ဟုတ်?

“No, they do.”

"မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူတို့လုပ်တယ်။"

That’s wrong.

အဲဒါမှားနေတယ်။

It’s a negative.

အဲဒါက အဆိုးမြင်တယ်။

We have to say, “No, they don’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူတို့မလုပ်ဘူး” လို့ပြောရမယ်။

“No, they do not.”

"မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူတို့မလုပ်ဘူး။"

Okay, and again, we have ‘have’ over here.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ နောက်တဖန်၊ ငါတို့တွင် 'ရှိသည်' ရှိသည်။

“It…”

“အဲဒါ…”

Which one, ‘do’ or ‘does’?

ဘယ်ဟာ 'လုပ်' ဒါမှမဟုတ် 'လုပ်'?

The answer is ‘does’.

အဖြေက 'လုပ်တာ'။

“Does it have a ball?”

"သူ့မှာ ဘောလုံးရှိလား"

Again, the answer is negative.

တဖန် အဖြေက အဆိုးမြင်သည်။

“No, it…does not.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး… မဟုတ်ဘူး”

or the contraction, “No, it doesn’t.”

သို့မဟုတ် ကျုံ့ခြင်း၊ "မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ မဖြစ်ဘူး။"

Okay.

ဟုတ်ပြီ

So that was our practice for asking questions with ‘have’.

အဲဒါက ' have' နဲ့ မေးခွန်းမေးတဲ့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ရဲ့ အလေ့အကျင့်ပါပဲ။
