In this video, we’re going to learn how to ask questions using ‘have’.

Neste vídeo, aprenderemos como fazer perguntas usando 'have'.

Okay, let’s look at the board.

Ok, vamos dar uma olhada no quadro.

When we are talking about ‘he’, ‘she’ or ‘it’,

Quando falamos sobre 'ele', 'ela' ou 'isso',

the question always begins with ‘does’.

a pergunta sempre começa com 'faz'.

After the pronoun, we have ‘have’.

Após o pronome, temos 'have'.

So, we say, “Does he have…”

Então, dizemos: “Ele tem...”

“Does she have…”

“Ela tem...”

“Does it have…”

“Ele tem...”

Now, let’s practice with this question and let’s look at the two answers.

OK.

“Does he have a friend?”

“Ele tem um amigo?”

If the answer is ‘yes’, we say “yes”,

If the answer is ‘no’.

“Does it have a friend?”

“Yes, it does.”

“No, it doesn’t.”

“Não, não importa.”

Okay, so remember ‘does…have’.

Ok, então lembre-se de 'tem...tem'.

Now, when we use ‘you’, ‘we’, ‘they’, we use ‘do’ in the front.

And ‘have’ after.

“Do you have a friend?”

"Você tem um amigo?"

“Do we have a friend?”

We finish with ‘do’ or ‘don’t’.

Right, the question is asking ‘you’, so, you say “I do.”

The answer is ‘does’.

Remember, we put the pronoun ‘she’.

We have ‘they’.

Okay, ‘have’ is again the same.

For ‘they’, we use ‘do’.

This time the answer is negative.

Desta vez a resposta é negativa.

“No, they….”

“Não, eles…”

What do we put here?

O que colocamos aqui?

It doesn’t make sense to say, “do”.

Não faz sentido dizer “fazer”.

Right?

Certo?

“No, they do.”

"Não, eles fazem."

That’s wrong.

Isto é errado.

It’s a negative.

É negativo.

We have to say, “No, they don’t.”

Temos que dizer: “Não, eles não querem”.

“No, they do not.”

"Não eles não."

Okay, and again, we have ‘have’ over here.

“It…”

Which one, ‘do’ or ‘does’?

The answer is ‘does’.

Again, the answer is negative.

“No, it…does not.”

"Não, não tem."

or the contraction, “No, it doesn’t.”

ou a contração: “Não, não importa”.
