Learn to ask English questions using HAVE | Basic English Grammar Course

In this video, we’re going to learn how to ask questions using ‘have’.

このビデオでは、「have」を使って質問する方法を学びます。

Okay, let’s look at the board.

さて、掲示板を見てみます。

When we are talking about ‘he’, ‘she’ or ‘it’,

私たちが「彼」、「彼女」、または「それ」について話すとき、

the question always begins with ‘does’.

質問は常に「何をするか」から始まります。

After the pronoun, we have ‘have’.

代名詞の後には「have」がつきます。

So, we say, “Does he have…”

そこで、「彼は…を持っていますか?」

“Does she have…”

「彼女は…を持っていますか?」

“Does it have…”

「それは…を持っていますか?」

Now, let’s practice with this question and let’s look at the two answers.

さて、この質問で練習して、2 つの答えを見てみましょう。

Okay.

わかった。

“Does he have a friend?”

「彼には友達がいますか？」

If the answer is ‘yes’, we say “yes”,

答えが「はい」の場合は「はい」と言い、

in the blank, we match… this has to be the same.

空白の場合は一致します…これは同じでなければなりません。

“Yes, he does.”

「はい、そうです。」

If the answer is ‘no’.

答えが「ノー」の場合。

“No, he doesn’t.”

「いいえ、彼はそうではありません。」

“Does he have a friend?”

「彼には友達がいますか？」

“Yes, she does.”

「はい、そうです。」

“No, she doesn’t.”

「いいえ、彼女はそうではありません。」

“Does it have a friend?”

「それは友達がいますか？」

“Yes, it does.”

"はい、そうです。"

“No, it doesn’t.”

「いいえ、そうではありません。」

Okay, so remember ‘does…have’.

さて、「does…have」を覚えておいてください。

Now, when we use ‘you’, ‘we’, ‘they’, we use ‘do’ in the front.

さて、「あなた」、「私たち」、「彼ら」を使うときは、先頭に「do」を使います。

And ‘have’ after.

そしてその後に「持っています」。

“Do you have a friend?”

"友達はいますか？"

“Do we have a friend?”

「私たちに友達はいますか？」

“Do they have a friend?”

「彼らには友達がいますか？」

Okay.

わかった。

And again, we have two answers.

繰り返しになりますが、答えは 2 つあります。

We finish with ‘do’ or ‘don’t’.

「する」か「しない」で終わります。

So, “Do you have a friend?”

それで、「友達はいますか？」

“Yes, I do.”

"はい、そうします。"

Right, the question is asking ‘you’, so, you say “I do.”

そうです、質問は「あなた」に尋ねているので、「私はそうします」と答えます。

Or, “No, I don’t.”

あるいは、「いいえ、そうではありません。」

“Do we have a friend?”

「私たちに友達はいますか？」

“Yes, we do.”

「はい、そうです。」

Or, “No, we don’t.”

または、「いいえ、そうではありません。」

And last.

そして最後。

“Do they have a friend?”

「彼らには友達がいますか？」

“Yes, they do.”

"はい、彼らがやります。"

“No, they don’t.”

「いいえ、そうではありません。」

Okay, let’s move on to some more practice.

さて、もう少し練習に移りましょう。

Okay, so remember when we ask a question, we begin with ‘do’ or ‘does’.

質問するときは、「do」または「does」から始めることを覚えておいてください。

Okay.

We have ‘she’.

私たちには「彼女」がいます。

Well, remember for all questions we use ‘have’.

すべての質問で「have」を使用することを覚えておいてください。

In the front, should we use ‘does’ or ‘do’?

先頭では「does」と「do」のどちらを使用するべきですか？

The answer is ‘does’.

答えは「する」です。

“Does she have a dress?”

「彼女はドレスを持っていますか？」

When we answer, “Yes…”

「はい…」と答えたら、

What do we put here?

ここに何を入れますか?

Remember, we put the pronoun ‘she’.

代名詞「彼女」を入れていることを忘れないでください。

And the answer ‘does’.

そして答えは「そうです」です。

“Yes, she does.”

「はい、そうです。」

The next one.

次のもの。

We have ‘they’.

私たちには「彼ら」がいます。

Okay, ‘have’ is again the same.

さて、「have」も同じです。

“…have a bicycle?”

「…自転車はありますか？」

Okay, what goes in the front?

さて、前には何が入るでしょうか？

For ‘they’, we use ‘do’.

「彼ら」には「do」を使います。

“Do they have a bicycle?”

「彼らは自転車を持っていますか？」

This time the answer is negative.

今回の答えは否定的です。

“No, they….”

「いいえ、彼らは……」

What do we put here?

ここに何を入れましょうか？

It doesn’t make sense to say, “do”.

「やれ」と言っても意味がありません。

Right?

右？

“No, they do.”

「いいえ、そうです。」

That’s wrong.

それは間違っている。

It’s a negative.

それはマイナスです。

We have to say, “No, they don’t.”

「いいえ、そうではありません」と言わざるを得ません。

“No, they do not.”

"いいえそうではありません。"

Okay, and again, we have ‘have’ over here.

さて、繰り返しますが、ここには「持っています」があります。

“It…”

「それは…」

Which one, ‘do’ or ‘does’?

「する」と「する」のどっち？

The answer is ‘does’.

答えは「する」です。

“Does it have a ball?”

「ボールはありますか？」

Again, the answer is negative.

繰り返しますが、答えは否定的です。

“No, it…does not.”

"いいえ、違います。"

or the contraction, “No, it doesn’t.”

または、「いいえ、そうではありません」という短縮形です。

Okay.

So that was our practice for asking questions with ‘have’.
