I'm Esther and in this video we are going to talk about an important idiom hit on.

私は Esther です。このビデオでは 、ヒットした重要なイディオムについて話します。

Now, hit on doesn't mean to hit.

さて、ヒットオンはヒットするという意味ではありません。

Right?

右？

Hit means you punch someone or you use your hand to hurt someone.

ヒットとは、誰かを殴ったり、手を使って誰かを傷つけたりすることを意味します 。

So, that's not what it means.

だから、それはそれが意味するものではありません。

Hit on means well when a guy maybe likes a girl he sees someone and he thinks that girl

ヒットオンは、男が女の子が好きかもしれないときに、 誰かを見て、その女の子が合図だと思ったときにうまくいくことを意味します

is cue.

He wants to her better.

He wants to her more.

So, he might go to her and ask for her phone number.

Try to talk to her.

That's hitting on.

So, let's look at these examples.

Again this means, he went to the girl and try to talk to her and no her better.
